If I get another Obsidian fail when trying for a Garnet, I'm going to scream! Seriously, I've had EIGHT fails with Obsidian on EBI! Are there any other confirmed breedings for Garnet other than Smoke/Obsidian?
Lava is 10 hours, Smoke is 14 and Solar Eclipse is 48. I'd be happy with the Obsidian if I was you.

Which is why I'm, to an extent, happy that in my quest to find the majorly elusive LYD, I haven't gotten a Rainbow.
Folks, Apocalypse and it's decoration ... and maybe it's habitat, are most probably leaving on the 9th. I would think that all the rest of the limiteds are leaving then as well. In fact if the limiteds don't leave on the 9th, then Apocalypse will still be here ... as it's a limited. But I want to suggest that if you're still trying for the Apocalypse you should get a move on. And buying any limited decoration is probably a good idea as well.
Also, I want to guess that the Christmas Decorations will leave at the same time. If you want to take any screen shots of how your park looks, you should probably do so now.

I thought it would NEVER happen - but finally, when I was getting rather down in the dumps, my rust/water combo has decided to bless me with a little platinum offspring.
Now I'm making a half hearted attempt to breed Love and Clover while they're still available, and if that's unsuccessful I'll try when they return.
I bred a garnet for my gem island, and was rather sorry to have to sell off one of the rubies. However, I don't think the egg is a patch on all the other lovely gem eggs, so I've decided not to add one to the gem collection. This probably saves me quite an amount of teeth gnashing and under the breath muttering, to say nothing of tears!
Although I have several gold shrines, but am missing a couple, I am on a mission to crown a third dragon. I gave the first one to Mulligan, a poor depressed mud dragon, and the second to a foggie who had been kind to him. Then I had great difficulty deciding who should wear crown No. 3. Panlongs had always seemed an obvious choice, but they are so very smug, I didn't want to pander to their snobiness even more.
Finally I decided I WOULD go with one of the Panlongs, as I've been winning silver lately far too often in the colosseum, with any of the level 15 dragons.
So I looked through my list, and discarded Paradiso, Palatino and all those with hoity toity names. My final choice was between Parsley and Parsnip, and being a down to earth creature myself, I chose Parsnip.
Even with over 1,000,000,000 dragon cash, it's going to take a while to turn that all into food to finish the job. At the moment he's level 17 - and trying to win gold for me today.

I've been having internet issues so haven't been here for a while but I hope everyone is doing ok with the their searched for the limiteds. Thanks for the heads up on them leaving Fletch. Am a bit disappointed for my daughter as she's been trying for weeks for a Leap Year dragon and she has nothing to show for it, and with little time left I'm not sure it looks likely, still it was good of BFS to prolong the chance to try.
I thought the original date on the Apocalypse leaving was the 17th Jan, although I could've got confused with one of my appointments.

Anybody care to offer a guess as to when BFS may actually raise the levels beyond 40? Has there been any sort of pattern in the past as to when they've raised the levels?
Also, for those whom have completed the shrine grind, did you keep all the spare dragons? I'm struggling with a good reason to have my cave so cluttered.

I usually don't keep the spare dragons, but some info from Fletch said that every dragon you have can make your park value go up, if you are interested in it.

Congrats! I've given up on the Platinum while trying for the Garnet and egg displays of some of the gem dragons. Of course, I have had no luck whatsoever with that. This bringing back limiteds is great, but I got one Love dragon out of it and the rest were fails I didn't need. I may have had 2 LYD's as fails but I didn't need them. Oh well. You win some and lose some. At least I have all the regular eggs I need. I just didn't bother with collecting the gem display eggs from the beginning. Maybe this is a sign I shouldn't start now. LOL!

Lots of platinum koala going around. Congrats to those who recently bred one.
I finally scored my first this past weekend and kept trying with rust and water, planning to switch to platinum/gold when the first one hatches. But I just now got number two with rust and water. So now I have everything I've been trying for, plus eight gold shrines.
Regarding money making groups of habitats, many of us have or had an island just devoted to earth habitats filled with Panlongs. That helped a lot to make cash to buy food to raise dragons to lvl 15. However, that goal is now quite behind me and I have decided to go a new way and switch to rainbows habitats and LYD (lower breeding time then rainbow) which will make loads of money without having to swap coins every hour as needed for the panlongs collection. On the other hand, it is a bit strange to accumulate even more cash without really needing it. But .... rainbow habitats are nicer to look at then earth habitats lol

Honestly, if the extended Bring Em Back madness won't grant me any more of the gemstone dragons I'm going for (cactus+crystal kept giving me tree after tree after moss after crystal), it'd be better for me if they'd end it. Getting two unwanted Solar Eclipse while trying for a Garnet is just too frustrating! Okay, whine over. Now gimme my gem dragons, BFS. And koala to all still trying for the limiteds!

Viviane, I'm swapping out my pans for solstice. Slightly longer hatching time, but the earn 148(if I recall accurately) more per minute per habitat than the LYD's do. Only have to collect twice daily.

Solstice is 316 per min, Rainbow or LYD id 400 per min Rainbow takes 48 +48 hours LYD takes 14 and something twice to get. Solstice takes 23.50 hours x 2

I used mostly panlongs and blooms and sold off about half of each. That was before the hibernation cave upgrade, though, and I needed room. If you have room I would keep them around in the case BFS eventually decides to make platinum shrines or something like that.
