Regarding money making groups of habitats, many of us have or had an island just devoted to earth habitats filled with Panlongs. That helped a lot to make cash to buy food to raise dragons to lvl 15. However, that goal is now quite behind me and I have decided to go a new way and switch to rainbows habitats and LYD (lower breeding time then rainbow) which will make loads of money without having to swap coins every hour as needed for the panlongs collection. On the other hand, it is a bit strange to accumulate even more cash without really needing it. But .... rainbow habitats are nicer to look at then earth habitats lol
Up to 5 moons.. 4 suns ... 4 rainbows so far. I'll go 5 suns. The rest rainbow. Interested in what will happen to your net worth as it is 3 times higher than most I've seen. I am thinking the trade off from a 15 Panlong to a rainbow will decrease it...
Folks, Apocalypse and it's decoration ... and maybe it's habitat, are most probably leaving on the 9th. I would think that all the rest of the limiteds are leaving then as well. In fact if the limiteds don't leave on the 9th, then Apocalypse will still be here ... as it's a limited. But I want to suggest that if you're still trying for the Apocalypse you should get a move on. And buying any limited decoration is probably a good idea as well.
Also, I want to guess that the Christmas Decorations will leave at the same time. If you want to take any screen shots of how your park looks, you should probably do so now.

I thought it would NEVER happen - but finally, when I was getting rather down in the dumps, my rust/water combo has decided to bless me with a little platinum offspring.
Now I'm making a half hearted attempt to breed Love and Clover while they're still available, and if that's unsuccessful I'll try when they return.
I bred a garnet for my gem island, and was rather sorry to have to sell off one of the rubies. However, I don't think the egg is a patch on all the other lovely gem eggs, so I've decided not to add one to the gem collection. This probably saves me quite an amount of teeth gnashing and under the breath muttering, to say nothing of tears!
Although I have several gold shrines, but am missing a couple, I am on a mission to crown a third dragon. I gave the first one to Mulligan, a poor depressed mud dragon, and the second to a foggie who had been kind to him. Then I had great difficulty deciding who should wear crown No. 3. Panlongs had always seemed an obvious choice, but they are so very smug, I didn't want to pander to their snobiness even more.
Finally I decided I WOULD go with one of the Panlongs, as I've been winning silver lately far too often in the colosseum, with any of the level 15 dragons.
So I looked through my list, and discarded Paradiso, Palatino and all those with hoity toity names. My final choice was between Parsley and Parsnip, and being a down to earth creature myself, I chose Parsnip.
Even with over 1,000,000,000 dragon cash, it's going to take a while to turn that all into food to finish the job. At the moment he's level 17 - and trying to win gold for me today.
I've been having internet issues so haven't been here for a while but I hope everyone is doing ok with the their searched for the limiteds. Thanks for the heads up on them leaving Fletch. Am a bit disappointed for my daughter as she's been trying for weeks for a Leap Year dragon and she has nothing to show for it, and with little time left I'm not sure it looks likely, still it was good of BFS to prolong the chance to try.
I thought the original date on the Apocalypse leaving was the 17th Jan, although I could've got confused with one of my appointments.
The 9th was the original deadline. Not much more time if they stick with that deadline. koala everyone!
Congrats to all on the success with your dragon of choice! I am having the worst luck ever! I have been trying for a second Apocalypse as I did not want to buy him, but after my streak in both cave and island I have decided to bite the bullet.
Fletch, here are my numbers. I can not figure out why I can not get a second. I got the first after 3 tries in the cave. Since then.
In the cave - 61 attempts of those I got 3 48 hour. On the island - 38 attempts of those 1 LYD, 4 BMD, 2 Silver and 3 48 hour.
So after these two 48 hours come out in 2 days I will start trying for the Garnet. My first try for him was a 48 h fail.

Yes I thought about changing since I have 3 crowned but I do not have the room for the larger habitats. So, I will just keep my pans for now.

Yes, to me and my daughter. This is the only dragon we have ever bought with gems, apart from Gift for 0 gems at Christmas --- is this not the normal way that it works?

I tried Rust n Quicksilver 15 Times before I got the Platium, so keep trying.
So while ally his crazy breeding is going on I have gotten several bone, ghost and a few other that I wasn't trying for so I decided to start displaying eggs. My 5 year old was playing with me and asked me why I was making my dragons dead instead of hatching them. Puts a whole new spin on the dragon egg displays. Lol

Apocalypse is pretty rare. You were most fortunate to get one in 3 tries. The odds even out eventually, and that's what you are seeing there, although it does seem to have swung to the other way.
