In case it makes you feel better, you are not alone. I have also been having trouble with friend requests not making it out of my Game Center. I agree that it is completely annoying. I wish BFS would fix the social menu before the next event and before the next last call comp. After all, people have debts to pay.

Every time I try to upgrade Breeding Cave it says that I don't have enough gems when I have more than required quantity (which also changes every time). I have searched for an answer to this everywhere. I can't believe I am the only one with this problem because I have it on both my games - one on my iPhone and one on my Android notepad.
Hi mary360 and welcome. The breeding Cave is upgradeable for 175 gems. And the Island for 225 gems. Perhaps that is causing ocnfusion. The price has changed in the past, but not for some years.
Also the breeding site must be EMPTY when you attempt to upgrade it. If there are dragons in there you cannot upgrade.
I cannot think of anything else that may be causing this, but we have a lot of knowledge here on the forum. Others may be able to shed more light

Hi Mary360, welcome to the forum
I personally haven't heard of this happening before. One suggestion would be to delete and reinstall DragonVale onto your device. It can help clear any unwanted data in the cache when it redownloads onto your device and might fix your problem there. If trying to purchase the upgrade is still stuck, I would recommend sending Backflip Studios an email at their support address here: support@backflipstudios.com

Hi Mary,
The amount it is asking for is the amount you are missing. Last time I checked you needed 175 for the cave and 225 for the island. See if the amount it is asking for, added to the amount of gems you have, makes the totals I just mentioned. Actually even if it doesn't it will give you the total you need. As the amount of gems you have changes, so does the difference it will be asking for.

The dragon boosts up the income of all dragons that have the boost element and live on the island that the boost is placed on by 20 %. For example you have the plant boost and place it on island 1 The plant dragon on island 2 will get no effect (not the same island) , the moss dragon on island 1 will have more income ( 100 -> 120), the fire dragon on island 1 will get no effect (not the plant element)
(In the past boosts used to have also a negative influence on dragons with the opposite element, but this was changed some time ago)

They certainly should. "You need an extra ? gems ..." Or "You are? gems short ..." Something like that.

Hey there!
Nice to see you on the forums. Don't worry, this is the perfect place to post your queries! This is a rather strange problem, I assume your Game centre must be playing up or BFS have made a mistake... The only suggestion I have is to try using their separate Gamecentre IDs on different devices. This will determine whether it is the device you are on, BFS, or Gamecentre.
I know now that Fletch_smf and GregDarcy both run two parks, thus have different GC IDs but I assume that they use the same device, so it must work for them. Maybe they will know the true root of your problem!
