Hello, and welcome! My 8 year old son and I have played for over 2 years, so I know about frustrated children! We have had 2 different GC IDs running on the same device for my wife and her oldest daughter. After the oldest got an iPhone, the GC ID went with the daughter and my wife has used just her GCID on her iPad. All without incident. I'm not sure what the best solution for you is... but I'm more than happy to help figure it out!
At this point, I'm not sure I understand what the root cause is. It _seems_ like it should be just fine for you, as this should work the way you are trying to get it to work. My hunch is that there is a little piece of data I'm not seeing that would help clue me in to where the true issue lies. If possible, like @jamevaler says, see if it works on 2 different devices to help limit the variables.
As JV states, there are others here with multiple parks (hense multiple GC IDs) who will likely chime in when they see this thread (that's the kind of community this is ). Just be patient, help is on the way!
iOS GCID EuroKnuter Friends ALWAYS welcome, but I'm full for GT buddies =) Rockin' an ElektronX Jet Icon!
Hello - I don't know if I am in the right place or breaking any forum rules - but am hoping someone might be able to help! My two sons love DragonVale - I recently set up Gamecenter logins for them so they could both play on my iPad. (Previously one had played on an older iPad, but it doesn't support the latest version). Backflip studios moved the local parks to their Game Center ids, but now no matter which Game Center id I login as, I get the same park.
Backflip say that they've associated the parks correctly, so I don't know what to do, and my sons are very sad about their parks!
Anyone had this problem and solved it?
Any help gratefully received!
How are you logging out of GameCentre? There are many IDs that are in use at any one time on an iOS device they can be aligned or not depending on the way you have set things up. If for example you are actually logging off your AppleId instead of your GCID then you will see the symptoms you are experiencing.
To log out of game centre in ios8 you need to go to the iOS settings (not in dv) go to your home screen and track down settings. The icon is a gear wheel. Open that up. Then scroll down the left hand side until you find game centre. On mine it is at the bottom of the sixth group down. Go into that. Then tap on the ID showing. You will get the opportunity then to sign out of GameCentre. Do so. Then log back in with the new GCID. In earlier iOSs you logged out within GameCentre which to my mind made more sense.
I find it best to force close DV first. To do that in ios8 double click the home button. Then find DV in the list of windows presented and swipe it up off the top of the screen. On earlier versions you had to double click the home button, then press and hold the icon then press the ❌ to shut it down. This was worryingly similar to the way to delete the app though. That may be why they changed it.

Just make sure you are changing Game Center ID and not your iTunes account. They are separate things, but the login and password can be the same for both.
I have been trying to fix the problem of friending my own parks across platforms and couldn't seem to find the answer. I finally figured it out so I wanted to post it here for others. The problem was none of my friend requests from my android park were going through to game center and I couldn't get a FR out of Game Center to the kindle either. However, other people I friended were showing up in all my parks so why couldn't I? So frustrating... I discovered all my parks were linked to the same FB account that I had set up for my kindle. The Solution: 1. Create a new gmail email account using a name that Google cant "helpfully" link to another of your accounts. You might need this for verification on FB later on in this process. 2. Create a new Facebook account using a totally different name that FB won't "helpfully" link. 3. On your iPad, go to settings, FB, and delete the old FB account associated on the iPad. (It got there when i "logged in" from DV social button. Put in the NEW Facebook account you just created. 4. Send FR requests from your devices and TaDa!!
Number 2 daughter has a Samsung phone and was surprised when i told her that DV works on Android now. She started a new park, but is having some issues with the Facebook connection. It asks her to login, she does so, and then it says she is already validated to play DV. "Do you want to use your local park or your Facebook park?" She always chooses Facebook park, but finds herself set back to level 1 anyway. I just visited her new park to collect party hats, and it is still at level 11.

No advice anyone?
:-)
I, afraid not. I can't tell you what to do. My only suggestion is to try it out on another device and log onto her FB.
Hope le it's fixed soon!

I have been playing DV on a Samsung phone for more than two years. I recommend to try the followings.
- Restart the phone and see what happens.
- If that does not work, log out from the current park where she is playing. Re-start DV, log in again to your daughter's FB account. Follow the instructions.

Hello, I'm pretty new to this forum and I'm not sure if this question has been answered. I'm hoping some one can answer it for me I play Dragonvale on my ipad mini and I logged it into my facebook account. When I hit the social button I can see the few friends that play or use to play dragonvale there. My 8 yr old niece also plays on her ipad mini but she does not have a facebook account so she has no "friends" that can help her with gems. Is there a way that I can send her gems? Can I log out of facebook and send her gems and then log back into facebook? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much

Welcome Tracey. As you are both on apple devices. You should be able to exchange gems via your GameCentre accounts. I am not sure of the mechanics though. You may need to log out of Facebook first. Like your very smart niece, I don't have a Facebook account either. I value my privacy higher than that. We do have a number of members who use both systems though so you will probably get an answer soon.

You don't need to log out of Facebook. I can see friends from both Facebook (android players) and from Game Center at the same time.
Really happy with my gorgeous avatar by ElektronX! GCID: Andr3i4 Any and all friends for Cooperative Breeding are welcome. Gladly accepting any twins also.

Really? You can do that?
Yes. I am friends with DragonMagic1 (through facebook) and with several Game Center players. I've been sending treats/gems to him and to my Game Center friends daily, no problem.

Hey, here's a little help with with game centre 1 This is what I see when I open my Gamecentre up. Should be similar for you, I guess. 2 This is what happens when I click on the friends tab at the bottom of the page. 3 This is what happens when I click on that + sign near the top left of the friends tab. I then put their GCID in and send them a request saying DV buddy. They accept and we are gem buddies.
Hope this helps
