Pass the Grey Poupon. I'm over 2 billion now, was well over 4 before the last update and had fun buying food and feeding dragons.
I had a stash of magnetic and lichens waiting in the cave for the update- fed them up and finished my shrines.
I haven't crowned any yet, not sure which will be the first. I'll wait til next update maybe, I hate wasting XP. I wish they would add more levels quicker- even if it was only 1 every 4 to 6 weeks instead of 5 after who knows how long.
I have gone over 2 billion before, but I have changed my strategy. I am leveling up all dragons to twenty as soon as these last two irons turn the metal, shrine to gold. With gems I save for certain items, very rarely using it to speed things up. I have this urge to have everything at the highest possible level...

Poppy I would be interested in total player net worth... For instance I carry 6 billion in cash while my net worth is about 10 billion.... Viviane on the other hand has 1.5 billion but her net is 29 billion. Pj steel is 13 billion or so....I would think all the "cool kids" would rate highest in this area
I have recently got my DC to 2B and all DC over that now gets turned into treats... I have only 3 crowned (my colosseum dragons). Whenever a new dragon comes out I take the breeding pair to L17. Otherwise I have no plans to take any more to L20... I have had no problems with getting all the dragons with L17 combos so don't currently see the need to level them any higher.

I have no gold shrines, and buy beanstalks only when I have over 1B, and haven't got the new island. I'm pretty sweet.
Do you get a lot of silvers in the Dragon Colosseum? That's the thing pushing me to try to gild a statue.
technofanatic: How does one find their net worth?
I currently have $425M DC. And I only have that much because I made a big push for $$ after seeing how much gold Hermione2424 had. Before that I hovered around $200M

I did a quick check using the debug screen and it seems that it includes money (i.e. check your worth - then take say $100 from a habitat you've just cleared and you'll notice your worth increases by $100).
I wonder if it values dragons as the cost of the food you've given them, however this seems difficult as you pay different prices for the food depending what you bought. Similarly, I wonder how it values your food stores.
I'm guessing what it does it keep track of every single dollar you've ever spent in your park (so spending money on food should not affect your net worth). But then it makes me wonder how that figure could ever go down. I guess it would go down if you sold off decorations, but unless you are selling off bulk decorations, I can't see this would ever drop very much.
The point I am making is, your 'all time high' score should virtually always be equal to your current score.
I'm going to do a quick test later when my food is finished growing. I'll check my net worth, then grow one of those really cheap and quick food snacks. If my theory is correct, my net worth should remain unchanged.
I wonder how it values gems? I don't think they are included in the net worth as it has a seperate figure on the debug screen for gems. On that note, if you check the debug screen, you might notice that the number of gems it says you have is different from the number of gems you actually have. I'm not sure what is going on here, but I suspect it includes the resell value of some items that you get gems for (i.e. huge habitats), or items you can't resell at all but cost gems (i.e. EBI, extra slots in nursery, hibernation cave upgrades)

I'm just over 25B and I never have much cash. Just a case of longevity in terms of building net worth. Although it does help to keep your Chinese Gold Coin Factory like Viviane has done.

Just did a quick check - my park earns about $50m per day from DC (including the ~6.25% from Kairos). This is with about 5-6 checks per day, although I would earn almost as much with just a single check per day as most of my income is from epic habitats.
I could earn more from Panlongs, but am already addicted enough to this game and don't want to have to check in even more frequently! Plus you lose so much over night that the incremental extra amount just isn't worth it to me.
I can't really earn much more than that unless I sell a few of my less valuable habitats and get a few more sun / moon habitats. Metal would probably be the first to go as that usually only earns me about $125K per day. The huge lightning habitat I bought is also pretty worthless, but is useful for breeding dragons and shuffling them around.
With the upgraded breeding caves, I can knock off about 10 magnetics per day and 2 rusts overnight (if I've got nothing better to breed for) which is ~$15m per day there.
So about $65m per day in total on average, which means enough food for an extra level 20 dragon every week or so.
It also means that it will take me a little over 2 weeks to earn $1b DC, which means a very long time before I catch up to Viv!
This does make me wonder how I only have $13b net value - although I guess I did only start playing about a year ago and had about 3 months off at one point. And I only really ramped up my earning power in the last couple of months by breeding 50 solstice dragons and buying all the large habitats. And I've only recently started breeding magnetics as I still had so many others to get.
So I guess the $13b does sound about right as a rough guestimate of the total DC I've earned since I've started playing.
For anyone that's interested, I did a little bit of experimenting yesterday (using the debug screen) to see what affects your park value.
Interestingly, food does NOT count towards your park value. i.e. When you buy food, your park value goes down by the amount you spend. However your park value DOES increase when you feed that food to dragons (only when you increase a dragon's level though, not for individual 'feedings').
I only had a few minutes to toy around with it, and didn't record the value, but levelling one dragon to level 15 (from level 10) increased my park value by ~$28m, which works out to approximately $50/unit of food I fed.
So it makes me wonder whether feeding dragons gives you a fixed increase in $ value, or whether it increases by the cost of the food you bought. This gets very tricky though when you consider that you (generally) pay different amounts for food, not to mention food won through dragon racing.
When I get a bit of time, I might experiment a bit by levelling a single dragon from Level 1 to Level 20 recording the increase in park value for each increment.
I also want to toy around with seeing what happens when you breed dragons (does park value increase for a new dragon?), when you hatch a dragon, when you sell a dragon and some other things (selling habitats, buying / selling decorations, dragon eggs etc etc).
Not sure if anyone has ever looked into this before, but I find it quite interesting. I've noticed some of my friends have all time high park values literally 10's of billions of dollars higher than they currently have. I have no idea how this is possible, unless you are sitting on a MOUNTAIN of food or unless you've bought and sold decorations repeatedly.
I'm not sure what else could negatively impact your park value, but I'm interested to find out.
Lacking Game Center, I don't believe there is any way to determine park value for Android users...
Or at least not anymore.
There used to be a glitch that showed it (and some other behind the scens data), but as far as I know they fixed that trick a while back. I'll have to search arond and see if anyone knows of an alternate method of seeing the little green numbers...
There are so many factors that could be included - shrines must be factored in in some way as well.
Also curious about the gem count, but I notice nobody has looked into that (probably because it isn't recorded anywhere so there is no competitve spirit haha).
Thanks mishkasmom - had some bad times. Got better now its up and down.
Noodles - why would you specifically lvl to 17? Just seems random or is there something they get at 17?
Once Ive caught up on dragons I'm missing from the 6month hiatus and am back over 1billion then I'm going to start trying for gold statues. I originally just focused at getting each dragon displayed to 15 and since the supposed increase breeding % I've lvl'd extras to 15 when using island and cave for a limited.
Gold statues IMO have nothing to do with getting gold in the coliseum. I get gold most of the time and have no gold shrines. I've noticed that I get it more often using the pure bred element rather than a hybrid .

Shrines would not factor in as they reflect dragon levels that already are factored in of course.
Gems don't count and shouldn't. They speed up things that happen that will increase your worth.
