Just bought the new island and spent 42 gems to speed it up. I was rewarded with 42 magic, so it seems a one to one exchange rate, at least in the beginning. It says as the day goes on you get less magic per task performed but resets either the next day, or in 24 hours.

The game description for DV in the App Store says that the max dragon level is linked to the level of your Park. So my dragons can go up to level 45?

Visited first friend to collect party hats. One of them had 35 magic.
Visited second friend to collect party hats. One of the had 26 magic.

No update for me either. Dragonvale app site says there is one, but it is not showing up on my iPad. Patience is a virtue...

or go to your list of purchased apps, and it will show an update button for DV.

So much info to post, so little time... Shrines work totally different now. You don't need shrines to get level 15 or even level 20 now. I know this becuase I just fed a Bone Dragon to 15.25 and my Fire and Earth shrines were both Silver. Not sure what limits dragon level now. Maybe a factor of Park Level. Perhaps some lower level player can explore this. You can also level dragons up with gems. I think it cost 11 gems to move form 10 to 11 and 80 gems to move from 16 to 17. That confirms this statement from the itunes app store about what's new |

Lol. I went to my farm, clicked on grow treats, scrolled to the bottom and clicked on the last one as I always do to grow some beanstalk. They have inverted the list so the expensive stuff is now at the top. Makes sense, but without looking I grow some DragonSnaps instead. 30 magic for the first lot. 17 for the second. 9 for the 3rd. I wonder if it resets for each different type of food or whether I wasted the good % on growing the cheap stuff?

Level 20 players can now feed up level 20 dragons regardless of shrines. |

Had a goal to build an Earth habitat, so did so. Got 10 magic just for buying it. Spent 3 gems to speed it up and got another 3 magic.
