I'm beginning to suspect there are no 'mini-timers'.
I think what happened is that the overall timer reset this morning, hence people thought that there were mini timers that reset.
If that is the case, it is going to be very hard (impossible?) to get 3,000 magic per day without resorting to something like buying bushes for the 1 Magic or farming Dragonsnaps.
I find it amusing that the one time that it would actually be useful for Dragonsnaps to be at the top of the list in the treat farms, they are now at the bottom haha.

Same here. The guys were going like 100mph I could not keep up. May need glasses after tonight, I have glued to the iPad for the last few hours. Think I got the basic down.

Can you post the link again? I checked the 1st page but was not sure if those are the two dragons. If it is not too much.
I just realised I had 5 olympus habitats sitting in my storage tower and 18 Golys in my hibernation cave (must have sold one of the olympus habitats instead of stowing it).
So I took all these boys back out, that'll net me another +$4m per day until I can start breeding some more Solstices or Blue Moons.
I was just about to start selling them as well to make more room in my hibernation cave Looks like I made the right decision keeping them.
Unfortunately this update caught me unaware so I don't have much dragoncash on hand - once I have enough, I'll buy the extra islands and remove the obstacles. I suspect that should contribute considerably to the Magic required each day.
By my calculation, with maximum efforts it looks like you'll only net about 1,500-2,000 per day. You can net ~ 25 Magic per minute by buying and selling shrubs, so you can potentially net another 500 or so here depending on how much time you want to spend on it.
Any way you look at it though, it is rather difficult to get the 3,000, so I'm hoping the islands and clearing the obstacles will push me to the limit.
This is all quite preliminary analysis though - as the days unfold, we may find easier ways to get more Magic each day.
Note I'm assuming there aren't any mini-timers here - if there are mini-timers, then it would be much easier to hit the limit. It doesn't look likely though. I think that was just a glitch this morning when they fixed the exp issue.

Because I've been playing for so long, my dragon cup "runneth over", although this appears likely to change now. I had been just breeding dragons to fulfill the goals. This update should put some excitement back in the game.
Do we know yet if two expired limited dragons have any possibility of making an expired limited? Will Panlong + Panlong ever make a Panlong (with some small percent chance) or will it only make current dragons of their base elements? I'd be happy as long as there is some chance...

Breeding: Needed a Reindeer (Cold+Plant) egg. Bred 2 Reindeer: got a Lichen (Plant+Cold) Sooooo Bred 2 Lichen together: got the Reindeer
Gee! Maybe we can still get what we want if we use the mirror image of a hybrid!
So in the interest of science, didn't want to waste the gems but did it anyway: Bred the 2 Lichens again: got a Lichen.
Oh well, it was an interesting theory while it lasted.
But one thing it did show is that apparently we can still get expired dragons. It's kind of wacky though. How in the world did I get an expired when I used 2 regular dragons? The BF page seems to imply that maybe this whole breeding situation will return to normal after the magic is gone. Hope so. Right now I'm on the verge of giving up on DV. I want a game for enjoyment, not to be big time waster!

Not much point breeding Magnetics and Rusts for swift returns. Now waiting for a Copper from my two Magnetics and a Quicksilver from two Rusts.
Not sure what to breed when I have pairs of everything already.
Love the fact tht we have an exciting new update, but I think it's going to take a while to get my head around it all.
I feel so sorry for the Sandbox Keeper?
Do the old breeding rules still apply - except that breeding two of the same no longer gives you another same dragon?

It looks like Air + Air is probably the best option available (albeit cumbersome checking every 1 hour 36 minutes) with Metals overnight. I'm fortunate in that I found out about this before sending my Magnetics back into the breeding cave...

Oh, I already have a Ghost egg, I was just breeding another Ghost to get rid of a goal. Just now I put Iron + Iron in for overnight $$, got a 46 hr timer-- Bronze. As Cecilia said, it's going to take a while to get used to all the changes.

Oops!!! My bad. Very sorry to all. I thought the Reindeer was the 10/8 hour dragon. It was the Evergreen. The Reindeer was the 5/4 hour.

If none of the timers reset during the day, it is practically impossible to hit the 3,000 limit without buying either a LOT of bushes (like 1,500-2,000) or feeding multiple dragons to level 20...
Lucky I have 190 million food, although even that is going to run out quite quickly.

Woot. Trust me to typo my first crowned dragon. Zoe is a turbo baby PAPER, and has since been joined by Book (Century) and Kaylee (Liberty). Also, on L16 are River and Simon (Panlong), Jayne (Pepper) and Wash (Paper).
