What a Fabulously Gay Idea !sorry I'm a little behind the times, but here is a picture of my tree , it's difficult to make out, my iPad doesn't take the greatest pictures. All of the decorations are home made, it's been a labour of love 😊
Yes, it hard to see but still lovely. Can't make out what the handmade ornaments are. Maybe a closer pic so we can see some of the goodies?
I would but I just took down the tree today and all of the ornaments are safely tucked away. I haven't been on the forum for quite some time that is why I missed this topic 😞 the picture I shared is from a week or so ago, that I had stored in my photos on my iPad. So maybe next year , I will learn how to take better pictures, and you will be able to see the tree a little clearer 😊

ivanabot and loajoy, they are very nice pictures. I still wish it was Christmastime...
Sometimes I make chocolate bread houses for Valentine's day. Cocoa powder in the royal icing makes it match the house. The ground gets covered with green royal icing, the walkway is usually Droste chocolate stepping stones, and the roof is covered with all kinds of fancy schmancy chocolates, some still wrapped in red or gold foil. They are not built to last, lol! Hopefully time and finances will allow me to make one this year.
I've also been toying with the idea of making the little house that appears on the opening screen on the DV app. That's probably not going to happen until next fall though.

I feel like so many of you have become an extended part of my family, living many miles away, but still dear to my heart. I would like to invite you into my living room to share my Christmas tree. The grandkids won't be with us this year so the little tree is on display, rather than the other bigger one that is heavy and takes me eons to decorate. Maybe I'll show you that one next year.

My wife decided to really have a nice tree this year for the first time. I'll have to share a picture once I get home and take one.
We have "roadside Christmas trees" in my city. The trees along one of the highways are decorated. I think random people just go out and put ornaments on them. It's really fun to drive down the highway and look at them. There are dozens! But I didn't want to pull over to the side too often... it's not the busiest of highways, but there are still a lot of cars.
That is so awesome that people do that. What a great community!
