I feel like so many of you have become an extended part of my family, living many miles away, but still dear to my heart. I would like to invite you into my living room to share my Christmas tree. The grandkids won't be with us this year so the little tree is on display, rather than the other bigger one that is heavy and takes me eons to decorate. Maybe I'll show you that one next year.
Please feel free to share pics of your holiday spirit, family traditions...anything that makes you feel good this time of year.
As I spend Xmas at my mother s place, I do no have a tree at home, but I made one outside, next to the front door welcoming visitors (t is a small tree)

I think you should get a little tree with some lights just for you. Don't you think you deserve it?
I remember how my dad, an only child, used to get a little tabletop tree every year and decorate it for my grandparents when they were too old to do it themselves. It always made them feel a little festive and brought them some cheer.

This is fun! Each tree is lovely in its own way. Lotus, your rocking horse ornaments remind me that I used to give my daughter a different horse-themed ornament every year when she was younger & horse crazy. She says she still has them.
I love all the trees. It's great to see the different styles. Hope more post theirs and share. Thanks guys. I remember seeing the ribbon on a tree about 10 years ago and thought it was pretty so I adopted it onto mine. I have had the same color combo now for quite some years. It is kind of hard to see but it is all white, silver, blues and purples.
Thanks for posting your trees girls, so different styles but all lovely. And good to see you back Shellee, missed you I noted the snowman in the electric plug, is that a night light for kids to find their ways in their dark room? That d really cute. Have spent an hour with Eddie trying to make his new Lego train work with the remote control, no success grrrr. But Eddie was very upset with Santa who had brought that not working train he brought him last Sunday when we had our Xmas dinner (am away frm home for XMas so had to organize a pre Xmas)
Oh I'm loving all these Christmas trees. Sad to say, but my apartment is rather devoid of spirit at the moment. I have some lights on my porch but that's it. I'll see if I can't get some pictures of the "roadside" Christmas trees in my city. They're pretty cool!
Awesome trees!! I'd post mine, but it's not decorated yet. Mostly because we haven't put down the litter-filled sandbags yet. Yes, I said litter-filled, as in cat litter. It secures the trees and keeps it from falling over, as our cats have a habit of tugging on the tree and climbing it. The litter's used up during January.
Why, yes, I have a grand memory of rescuing our fallen Christmas tree from the furnace that it fell on. We blame the cat, who was two years old and very high-energy. And a big climber.
Nice trees. We don't do one. When we were first living together, we got a couple cats (still have one of them), and we'd come home to find them literally in the tree hanging out, or the tree on its side. We do have this thing, though: which as friend made for us. It's a wooden tree shape with Christmas lights poked through holes from the back.
Some towns have some impressive displays. The main drag through Pigeon Forge, TN, gets all done up every year, and it's extremely impressive.
Okay first attempt at photobucket. The pro board app is just to flaky anymore. I haven't been able to post any pics. So I finally broke down and joined photobucket. Lets see if I did it right.
Yay I got the link but how do I just do the pic?
Trying for just pic.
