Ok, so question to those that don't have the Twilight Tower: Does your park actually switch backgrounds/sound effects from Day to Night at some point during the evening?
Because mine park does not, but my Tower was set to Day... so maybe it just kept it locked that way...
Seems kind of odd if the only way the park changes appearance is if you have the tower and use it to switch it over.
I just checked my park, which is past the 7am changeover, and it's still sparkling blue skies (ie: day). So I think the night animations are just for those who obtained the tower. Also, how about the new Leaf Dragon?!

Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

Looks like flutterbye and everyone else will get their dues. But uhm... everyone is about to be so jealous of me. Ready? Are you actually ready? You sure? It messed up, and for some reason, I wound up with THREE towers. And another 50 gem gift in addition to my initial 50. When I opened my gifts, it was four gifts total, two "gave you a gift"s, and two "50 gems", but one gem gift had "info" next to it. So I got my two "gave you a gift" towers, was extatic and laughing, got 50 gems, then got the 50 with "info" next to it (the towers also had info next to it), and discovered that this was BOTH 50 GEMS AND A TOWER. Okay. So now I had 100 extra gems, and three towers on an island. Was wondering if I'd mindf**** the game when if I turned one tower on to dusk, and make it crash, but when I did, all three had their animation, and switched to the night version at the same time. So no problem there. I guess I am a lucky duck after all XD XD XD
Yay! So glad it worked out- you deserve the extra for the worry and frustration they put you through. I hope everyone else with the same problem has it resolved as satisfactorily

Thanks . That's what I was thinking lol. And yes, I also hope that everyone gets what they earned and more for the added stress, but I think few, if any, will make out QUITE as well as me. I hope they do. But I feel like I had to get the perfect storm of strangeness to get not just one extra, but TWO more towers than I was supposed to for a total of three. Lol. Definitely gonna make a $5 gem karma purchase.

I'd be interested to see how the three towers work in the game! If you change your park from day to night using one tower, will the other towers change too? Will there be simultaneous animations for all three? That'd be really cool.

Yes. All towers change and animate simultaneously. And it is pretty glorious. I'll try to upload a couple pics tomorrow. Initially, I was a bit worried that activating one would contradict the day/night, and the game would crash. But no, they all work together as one

Ha thanks for telling me, but I didn't expect you to reciprocate. No worries. It's not really a favor if you gift me back, cuz then I'm basically gifting you gems in exchange of someone else who would gift back to the gem you'd send them... if that makes sense. I'd basically potentially be derailing one of your gem buddies and replacing them. No, don't worry about it, just accept my gems and don't send back . I got 70 gems more from backflip than what I should have earned from the ffs (got 100 instead of 30), so I'm happy; don't worry about me.

I think it might be best to go easy on the emails. Like Bane Cane mentioned, they are still working on it and are aware of the problems. I'm sure there's a queue that they are working on getting through. flutterbye included more than enough proof for them to reimburse her. I just hope everyone receives similar treatment since it's not fair to miss out on prizes that people earned.

Yeah, I guess your right. I just feel bad for anyone who still didn't get the tower they earned, because I remember how frustrating it was for me every time I opened DV and saw the sky stuck at day, feeling the event never actually ended for me :/. Also that first "special gift from backflip" popup was annoying every single time I opened DV. (It always popped up, because I was being stubborn and wouldn't accept a 50 gem compensation before I got my tower(s) sent to me). I guess I'll listen to Kiyoji. Hang tight FB!

Definitely agree with you there. But if they don't give flutterbye a fair compensation feel free to spam them until they do.

Thanks for the moral support guys, I'm quite capable of fighting my own battles having worked in a customer facing capacity for years. I can be very persistent, but very politely. I know that they must be snowed under, which is why l will now wait for a while before my next communication.
I'm probably a bit more relaxed about the situation, as my second park has the tower and I can change state in that one to my heart's content.
