how are you guys maxing out on food for candy. 40 is a lot to get considering my first sweep only gets about 8 and then it diminishes :S
Hi and welcome!
In order to max out your candies from Treat farming/DC sweeping, you just need diligence and patience. The diminishing returns get pretty hefty once you get to the last 4 or so candies. Don't be surprise if it takes more than 10 rounds of treat growing to get just 2 candy. But keep at it!
Trivial question for the Community (and possible mini-contest): How much credit in Dragon Snaps can you grow before maxing out?
I'm just curious. It's no fun grinding alone, but maybe at least we can do a little quasi-scientific research. Last night I knew Kairos was due today, so I used Dragon Snaps for the candy and counted to slightly over a thousand.

You have way more patience than me pretty certain I am not maxing out I just get bored of doing dragon snaps. This feels a bit like a competition too far for me.

Remember, you can just buy some Plant dragons to incubate and sell without having to mess with your plans for other eggs incubating.
Good thing to remember, as long as there's a hatchery tower open. How much candy do you get for selling a plant egg? You get 20 for an obsidian, and 40 for the more prettier "specials" like prism and eclipse...
Btw, is anyone else having trouble with bone? I don't remember it being so hard to get last year.

Plant Dragon Snaps
Repeat until your hands start cramping
Done
By Halloween I'll probably have tapped a hole through my tablet where the "grow treats" button is.
I really dislike the repetitiveness of growing Dragon Snaps, so I have been doing something a little differently and still got all 40 candies yesterday. I plant the 6 hour treats overnight and get around 18 candies first thing in the morning. Then I plant Dragon Snaps until I don't get any candies for one round (that took me to 28 candies). I'm planning on planting the 2 hour treats for the rest of the day. I did this yesterday and easily got all 40 treats (I keep track throughout the day). This way I can still enjoy the event and not get frustrated with the repetitive growing/harvesting. But, I also don't fret if I miss those last 2 candies. To me, enjoying playing is much more important than the frustration or lack of enjoyment that really working for those last 2 can sometimes create.

I use a very similiar (occasionally substituting the one hour plants) strategy depending on my schedule for the day, but I so agree with everything you just stated. Koala to all
Looking around and enjoying life!

Interesting. I think I'll try that. How many rounds of Blushrooms did it take you?
I really like just getting the treats out of the way (because I'm exactly the type of person that frets over the last 2 candies ), but subjecting myself to this grind every day isn't worth it.

Ha that sounds exactly like me. I like to get it out of the way ASAP so that I don't have to worry about it at the time of reset. On a side note, you'd be surprised at how much experience you get growing Sarjin Peppers over and over and over again. I'm almost at 60!

I didn't keep track of how many rounds, but I'd estimate I've done 2 Blushrooms (my third is in now), and a round of Zazzberries (the 30 min ones) in between each. This is after the Pumpermelons and maybe 3-5 rounds of Dragon Snaps I did this morning. I have 2 candies left from my treats and about 6 hours to go before reset. Because this is a Saturday I can check my game more frequently and decided to do some 30 min treats. During the week when I'm at work I just do the 2 hour ones. This works well for my DC collection, too. It usually takes me most of the day to get the treats from the DC collection, and I do a sweep every time I harvest treats. I have been able to get all 40 candies from DC, too, by the end of the day.
My candies reset at 11 or 12pm, so I am able to take my time throughout the day and just make sure I'm done with everything before bedtime.
I am short about 20 - 24 candies everyday. Think it has to do with how my park is set up. I have 6 Huge Treat Farms out, and have more Epic Habitats on display than the others. I bought few fireflies last event, and prob need to purchase few candies this time around too.

I miss at least 10 candies a day, due to me not being able to use my Social Menu to collect party hats. I'm not strictly tracking how many candies I am earning for each grind. I'll just be taking this one slowly, since I don't need all of the theme prizes.
I am not tracking anything on paper, everything is in my head. By the 3rd day, I should have an average of how many eggs I am missing per day, work the number in my calculation, and decide from there. Maybe that is why I am so relax at these events.
I'm tracking everything. Took me a while to get the full amount of candies from the treats. I did over 60 rounds of snaps... With 11 treat farms that adds up! I like that BFS allows us to turn candies in whenever we want, instead of whenever we reach a prize like the last wvent. Makes things easier for me to track
I'm tracking. I wish that had the will power to not track. But I'm maxing out on food due to sheer willpower. Maxing the habitats on the other hand... not so much. I think I did 5 sweeps last night to try to get the last 2 candies and nada
I've discovered that I also have a diminishing return, but for the game as it goes on unfortunately
Hopefully I'll be able to find a balance so I will keep enjoying the game, because I do love the illustrations and animations very much.
Okay, I found this to be really awesome. The bottom of spooky island is a hidden dragon skull!!!! Well it's not really hidden, but I thought of the hidden Mickey's Disney hides in its movies and parks
Thank you to the people who suggested using a tally app to keep track of the treats. It's good to know when I can stop farming.
Does anyone know how many treats you can gather before you have to turn them in?
Unlike last event, you can turn in your candies any time you want. Your progress to the next prize will be shown in the bar. You can collect a total of 205 a day.
Has it been metioned before that you can buy more of Whitbee's Lantern once you have won it ? I thought it may be in the market too but couldn't find it. So if you want more of it simply go over the "buy more" button
