Actually, I wonder if backgrounds can now be rewards for these events? Maybe if we accumulate a certain amount of thingies (yes, I'm that technical), we can unlock backgrounds related to each event.

Oh boy. So many memories just from browsing that thread, good and bad... I think I liked the Rift Event's splash screen the best out of all the splash screens we've had though.

The original line would be "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes", spoken by one of the witches in Macbeth. It's a little awkwardly structured, partly because Shakespearean English often feels that way these days, but also because if my memory of the play is correct the witches in Macbeth speak pretty much exclusively in rhyme.
It's since passed into popular culture, of course, and pops up fairly often around Halloween. So this instance may be referencing something else referencing this, but... Yeah.
I hope we can lean a little less on the Dragon Snaps this time. Getting the last few daily fireflies from the farm got a bit tedious before the last event ended.
Hi everyone! I've been enjoying your tips and strategies for a few weeks now - so helpful! I'm relatively new to the game and muddled through pretty well in the firefly festival, but I'm hoping someone can explain the strategy of collecting for these events. There was talk about "diminishing algorithms" that I don't really understand. So what is the best timing for getting the most points/fireflies/candy?
There will be a new theme: Spooky Island and a new dragon: Nosferatu as rewards to be gained during the event. It is mentioned on the description of the update. I hope we get to keep the background. It's really great.
