I had the same issue. The bug had affected my park, removing the event island and candy a day early. I had received the in-game bug message, but did not receive the extra compensation when the event ended.
I first emailed BFS when the glitch occurred, because in one of my accounts I lost 553 candies. In my other account and my son's account, the game ended a day early. In the accounts where the event ended early, we did receive the gems and the next prize we were working towards, which was a second spooky theme. We did just receive them Friday, so I believe they are still working on getting to everyone, I was just one of the earliest to get a complaint in. In the account where I lost the 553 candies, I got the prizes when the game ended and that was all. I always kept my two accounts at almost exactly the same candy level, because I wanted the same reward in both. I ended up being extremely disappointed that the same amount of work resulted in significantly less treats only because that account was level 47 instead of 60. I hope they get to everyone else quickly.

They reviewed my situation and gifted me the 100 gems and an extra Spooky theme!
I am, once again, a happy 'valer! (Well, except for not being able to breed a stupid Berry, Gourd, or Bicentennial dragon... but that I can live with!)
