YES! I managed to get Omnitat this morning. It was a close call as I was out of internet reach and hiking for most of the weekend so did not collect all the possible roses. But now I actually have some roses to spare. Very nice! (And here I was worrying that BFS meant it when they announce "will end ON Feb 22" and call it quits at 8:30 my morning, midnight for them - even collected from my colliseum that was due after 9 am....)
For me this was a nice event (could do with a longer break this time between events though) and I was able to achieve everything without a purchase (and I am a lousy tracker, just made sure I got all the "big" rewards and planted more short term crops than usual). I even found Gardenia usually on first try - nice having to hunt for her only once a day though.
A big THANK YOU to my gem friends for faithfully giving me a gem every day! I know most of you made it to the last prize as well - congrats!

Definitely a laid back event compared to the previous ones. Since I finished early I thought it would be interesting to see how many roses I accumulated playing normally--three cycles later I have just over 300 (that's without farming for treats and without looking for Gardenia).
It would be extremely nice if BFS found a way to make these events doable without tracking. Wishful thinking I know.
BUT getting rid of diminishing returns on farming would be great ! Still wishful thinking?
I didn't track the roses I got for this event past the first couple of days. Didn't farm for roses (though I did use 2hr treats instead of 24h in my main park), or really play differently other than being a bit more willing to spend gems. ANd I got the omnitat, surprisingly, in BOTH parks!
The event doesn't end for another 2 1/2 hrs, but the possibility to crossebreed any dragons is no longer available. Can anyone confirm? Thank you.
I just put prism and snowflake one on the EBI in my dad's park about a minute ago. It's the first time I tried that combo and I got a snowflake first try. I've been trying snowflake & aurora in two spots for over a week to see if I could really get another snowflake that way. Not a single snowflake appeared but I got two aurora.

My DD is getting 3 roses per crop when she harvests dragon treats. I'm only getting two. Has this been discussed elsewhere in this thread? I kept telling her "no you're not, you're getting two." She assured me she was getting three roses, so I watched her harvest. Sure enough, she really does know what she's talking about! LOL
Is she spending gems to speed up the dragon treats? Then she'd get 1 for gem speeding and 2 for the crop.

Confused. I based my post on the fact that most of the hourglasses are grayed out in my park, except for Love, Rose, MS, Winter, and two current gemstones.
Wanted to test Thorn and Thorn since last night, but hit "Rebreed" this morning ?.

I'm sitting at 1010 roses as of now. I'll probably guy the omnitat in an hour and a half, but am hoping to get to 1030 so I only have to buy a 70 bundle. Thanks for all of the help from my gem friends.

The hourglasses are grayed out because they are not breedable by the normal methods. I would assume they've been grayed out the whole time. Without one or two of them you cannot get more so they are unavailable. However, if you try to breed incompatible dragons together, it still works right now.

I recalled, during this event that Ninja mentioned if the hourglass is green then you can breed it.

Anyhow, with a 1030 roses on the counter. I plan to take few screenshots of the counter and the event island. Don't think there will be any hiccups in the end, but if there is...I have proof.

Well, you can breed them together, so you can't really call them incompatible anymore.
The change is permanent as well. It says so in one of the in-game news alerts.

56 minutes to go... what happens to the dragons caught on the extra island when this thing goes off the air?
Barring some horrible, awful glitch, I think it's safe to assume:
- The dragons will be returned to their respective habitats unharmed
- the egg will go into your gifts, so that you can put it into the nursery when you have an open slot.
Actually... might be a good idea to clone something with a really long breed time in the BC. If my theory is correct, it would effectively have a breed time of less than an hour

It should for sure have showed up in gifts.
I'd shut down the game completely and go back in.
If it's still not in gifts, you might need to contact BFS support.
You can probably expect some delays... last day of the event is usually super busy for them...
So close... I may actually break down and buy roses in an hour.
Broke down and bought some roses... I have the Omnitat. Next time I'll just suck it up and buy during a double weekend.
