I logged in as the event started and had received 5 gifts, all of which gave eggs. I assume BFS changed the dynamic and it isn't solely when you sent but you can receive after the event starts to get the bonus - very nice not to have to time it to be sure.

They didn't, all my gifts from this morning are egg-less.
Maybe that happens if you don't open your park until the event starts.

Which is what I did... hrm, funny. I did that so I wouldn't accidentally do stuff (so so hard not to ). Looks like it paid off for me. Well, my gem friends too since theirs got sent after the event started today.

For those with very full parks: The "hidden egg" is easier to find in Edit Path mode again. As with Gardenia & Santa, it stays full color while all your habitats and such are faded out.

Thank you for posting the golden egg picture. My park says I have one hidden, but I cannot find it. I received eggs for removing 6 obstacles today. Nothing on the 7th. I received 20 eggs for completing a 2 hour quest. (Forge in the Dumme something quest). My son just put Forge in for the same quest, and his came back with a 24 hour timeline. My daughter did the same, and hers is a 3 hour timeline.

Only gifts sent AFTER the event starts will have eggs attached. I didn't send any gems/food out until the event started to give my gem buddies a little leg-up in the event
Where should we go on the forum to find neighbors? I have never had any before this event. Also, could someone run through the process of how you sign up for them again please? We can sign up/ask for neighbors through facebook or gamecenter, correct? Perhaps there is already a tutorial about the process...if so, where can i find it? Thanks! :0)
For Game Center (iOS): - Look for the Game Center app on your phone. - Under the "Me" tab, you'll see your Game Center ID (GCID). That's useful if you want to let people add you. - To add friends, tap the "Friends" tab. The "+" symbol on top right allows you to add friends by entering their email addresses or nicknames. - Go to this thread to find friends.
For Facebook (iOS and Android): - Make sure your app is connected to Facebook. There should be a button to do this in the "Social" menu in DragonVale. - Add park friends by friending them on Facebook. - This thread is where members go to look for friends.

PSA: Don't forget it can take several days for the largest obstacles to be cleared, so start them clearing well before you'll need them (though if you have a fresh island it's likely you can complete the event just clearing smaller obstacles)

Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas, which if left alone in large enough quantities, for long enough, will begin to think about itself.
My son, husband, and I have paths on all islands, and always found the egg on a path or the portal. It definitely helps to use the edit path mode as I found the egg behind a habitat on one park. Also the Lost Island is available in the market.

So, yeah... 9,000 eggs in total for the epic relic.
I'll just go ahead and say it: this is impossible. Looks like another premium "reward" that you have to pay for, like the Lost Island.

This will probably be harder to max out than with the roses event, but it looks like it is possible. Assuming 2 double weekends. You will have to spend gems though, max gems spending on double weekends and a few more here and there. You'll just need to be very diligent about collecting eggs!
