Meh.
Another boring event. Another reason for me to not want to go on DV.
What a dragggg.... And I will most definitely not be getting the lost relic. Gonna have to work for the second dragon though.... Grrrr.. The golden egg is hard to find. I searched for half an hour without success. I don't enjoy searching for things and BFS have made the game ever more typical and predictable....
I am very negative about ANOTHER event. They are endless and bore me now, I mean it's the same thing every time... New dragon, collect, find, gem, and now quest. How exciting. Not.
Dragonvale is a lovely game BECAUSE it's simple, it's fun and it's cute. They keep having to make it more and more complicated as BFS get greedier and greedier....
Sad to see dv this way....

Another FYI, Of our 3 parks, all 3 tell us the hidden egg is somewhere in our park. None of us can find it, even using the edit path mode. Will try restarting devices to see if that helps at all. I am positive on the 6 obstacles for a total of 12 eggs. It may have been a glitch, but that is what I got this morning.
I'm simply fed up with these "events" that are impossible to complete unless you buy more eggs or roses or snowballs or whatever they have you collecting. These (now) monthly "events" are merely a way for Backflip to suck money out of their players. I've been playing Dragonvale for over two years, but I'm just about to the point of sayin no more.
Hm, sounds like questing is going to be a constant. BS got 20 for a 24 hour quest... lemurr got 20 for a two hour quest... maybe it's a set 20 eggs?
I got a... 6 hr quest. Haha I mistook the countdown for the Kairos timer to be the quest time and thought is was a 48 hr quest!
Just tested questing roughly 20 times, Had 19 quests of 2hr and 1 quest of 3 hr. I sped them all up obviously and received nothing for them except the amount of gems I spent and either 5k in food or 150k in DC except for the 3 hr quest in which I received 10k in food. I honestly am guessing but it also could be because my park is maxed, but thought it would give some more eggs or it only gives so many once and somehow I missed it as I am at the studio and distracted continually. I wonder if quests are going to stay after the event. They don't really make sense because 2-hour quests give the same prizes as 24-hour quests. So it would actually be best to use a dragon that has none of the recommended elements because you do not want it to be "successful".
Not during the event obviously since long quests pay out a lot more eggs, but once they're gone... yeah. It's weird.
Thank you for all the tips on finding the magic egg. Unfortunately, my islands are so full of other stuff, I'm unable to find it. On previous events, you could go into the edit path mode to make everything but visitors and dragons translucent so you could see the mystery visitor more easily in your park. Does this egg show up like a visitor would, or does it become translucent like everything else? Could it be behind a tree or large rock?

So, yeah... 9,000 eggs in total for the epic relic.
I'll just go ahead and say it: this is impossible. Looks like another premium "reward" that you have to pay for, like the Lost Island.

This will probably be harder to max out than with the roses event, but it looks like it is possible. Assuming 2 double weekends. You will have to spend gems though, max gems spending on double weekends and a few more here and there. You'll just need to be very diligent about collecting eggs!
Hmm. Well, you're the person with the spreadsheet. I'll just go at it full force and hope I make it then.
Although I think people without the amenities of an end-game park are somewhat screwed still. Consistent gold trophies, enough habitats to get eggs from easily, a large gem stash...

Well... the maximum on questing is 20, and not everybody has obstacles to clear. I wonder if the twelfth island will even last us through the event, since it seems to have larger obstacles.
I found the hidden egg on a path in all three parks. I hope this is always the case. It will be easier to check just all the paths rather than entire islands.

I have not yet found the egg on a path. OTOH, we don't have many paths. Twice hidden in the lee of a habitat. Once hanging out near the eggs in the nursery
I got eggs from the more recent gifts. The two that were there before the event didn't give any.
I'm glad I held off gifting!
Sadly it didn't help! Your gifts were among those I received after event start, but I didn't get any eggs for them. YAEG (Yet Another Event Glitch)!

I did! In fact, you were giver number 3 (the first two were there this morning, CET).
PS: I made sure I gave them after Bloodstone announced the event was live.
