Lost island did not return with this event. Was so hoping it would. I have no obstacles to clear and only 24 gems short of Lost Island cost. Do really like the looks of this event, love the way all lit decor glows. And lvl 15 epics with their stars, very pretty. Another *very* welcome change is the time bar on all items. So helpful! I think you need 8800 star dust for everything.

Now I have to decide whether it is worth buying gems in my secondary park to get. I need 321. So I'd have to either spend $10 and probably squeak through. OR $9.99 + $1.99...

I do love the Twilight Tower; it's probably my favorite of the rewards we've earned even now, so many events in. Perhaps tied with the Dragonsai Bush...more gems to hand out is a plus. But I would have really regretted not paying out to get the Tower at the time. If you *have* the gems or can pull them together while this event goes on, AND you've wished you had it all this time, go for it.
I like the colors for this event, but I'm not fond of the constant meteors flashing through. They play heck with my ADHD. And none of the Tower themes eliminates those. LOL

Just be wary, the deal on the Tower is limited. You might not be able to get the discounted price if you wait for doubles...
I'm probs going to pass on the tower. We have entered the eternal DV event, and so there will always be a pretty sky. I'm probably going to be pretty relaxed about this event... since the weather tower seems like something I'd pass on as well. I guess mostly this means I'll just not be spending gems... maybe when bring 'em back rolls around I'll have enough gems for the extra dragonsai bush!
I am looking for 3 gem/food friends. I have found that a few of my gem friends have really fallen off near the end of the last few events. From the look of their parks, they are too far from the last reward and just stop playing.
I have 3 spots where I can give gems AND food. I would be lovely if I could find other players who have open food spots. I have a level 65 park and play everyday all year except two weeks in July.

I like the meteors flashing, but not so close together. I find it a tad distracting.

I do have the gems for it, but I just don't know if it is worth it to me. 888 is quite a lot, but really, that's what gems are for! True. That makes me feel better. I don't really want to spend money on my secondary park. I am planning to spend money in the primary -- just cause I figure its about time to throw money BFS way for the work they do producing an enjoyable game and I'd like some security of getting the weather station without the obstacles, etc.

Outside of changing the sky, are there any other benefits to having the Twilight Tower? (more gems for friends or anything like that)?
A minor thing it does is affect the breeding of time-dependent dragons.
For example Moon dragons are bred at night. If you don't have the Twilight Tower, it has to be night time in real life, but with the Tower you can just change to a night-time sky.
Only relevant for Sun, Moon, Dawn, and Dusk, so that aspect is not super useful in my opinion.

I found the purple and the gold, the green one does not exist in my park, I swear.....
I liked the Santa hunt, found the gardener quite easily, loved the Easter Egg, but the star dust is killing me. There are so many glowing things now, can't see the wood for the trees err I mean the stardust for the lamps....
I just realized this event has 27 days and you need 9000 MacGuffins in total. The easter event had 27 days and you needed 9000 MacGuffins in total.
Except you only get +5 from friends now instead of +10... I only barely managed the relic, so I think I'm in trouble.
But you know the solution to that, don't you?
