The streaking meteors are really distracting I really wish they were just in the background. They started to give me a headache when I was farming. I thought that they would stop when zoomed in, but nope :/ I also changed the background in hopes that they wouldn't appear on the other themes, but they still do. It was neat to see the shooting star on the upper right hand corner still show up on all the backgrounds though.
So ... Twilight Tower to change the BG, Weather Station to be in charge of the animated stuff like this Meteor Shower?
Looks like it. I'm pretty sure there will be a snow one since almost everyone asks for snow during December. And the description also alluded to flooding, so rain will probably be another animation.
On the Weather Station there are some globes depicting a sunny sky, meteors and something else I don't recognize.

Lamps? Lights? Anything that glows? Did u find anything left in the market? I thought i bought them out (AND got all their replacement bulbs too!)
LOVE the new look of our islands (it makes even our hum-drum ones look great!) but a "heads-up" to BF ( since we r always trying to keep them on their toes! :0) ) ...the next time u do an event that begs for new accessories ..... maybe add some cute new ones in the market for us to find... i know i would have bought more if they had had more! :0)
Gorgeous new event & i am enjoying it but would like more down-time between events too .... One of DV's attractions to me is its relaxing tenor...

This is my first post ever to the Community and I first just wants to say that the people here are truly the most kind and generous participants I've ever come across in a forum of this sort. Koala to you all! (if my wording is incorrect it's because I am from Sweden. Or stupid. Or both..)
Secondly I would just like to share a little tips/trick I discovered when trying to find the hidden eggs in the egg hunt and which has also been very helpful when searching for pockets of Stardust in the current event. (Maybe this trick is something that is very old news for many of you and if that is the case I just hope that you can forgive me for stating the obvious!)
Since I have reached level 65 and have all the islands and they are full of habitats, decorations and most of all dragons (!) it can be a little difficult spotting the eggs/Stardust when scrolling around the screen even in close-up mode bacause of all the distractions. If you tap a piece of you paths and then go into "edit paths"-mode the screen changes and habitats etc becomes slightly more transparent. The dragons, and visitors stay somewhat more the same but it is a lot easier to spot the Stardust pockets now. During the Egg Hunt, particularly towards the end when there were many eggs to be found, I spotted for example eggs hidden behind the moon in the Moon Habitats, of which I have a few.
That's just a little tip I hope may be useful to someone who, like me, sometimes gets a little frustrated "cruising" around the various islands again and again searching for the elusive pockets of Stardust.

Firstly, do not worry, you are not alone. I know for sure that we have numerous foreign people on this forum, and as Poppy pointed out not so long ago, we have had visits from over 170 countries. You're English is better than most our Swedish, that much I can tell you for sure!
What a brilliant suggestion, something which although I believe someone may have told us before, it will be useful for all the newer players to know! In fact, I seem to remember that skitch was a long time lurker, much like you until he revealed himself (or herself) to help the community out with another brilliant suggestion! I am sure that you too will join the forum and help our community!

Wouldn't it be so amazingly cool if the large meteor in the corner is an incoming celestial habitat complex for Zodiac or other cosmic type dragons? Less like a Death Star, more like an Arc Star. Oh well, one can only wish, ... ... ... when you wish upon a star, .... (sigh)
As much as I love the colors and design theme of this event, it does seem to have come too soon. I understand why the timing of this event, but so close on the heels of the last one...I think several of my faithful gem giving friends appear to be taking a break this time. Burn out does exist, lol. I have sent friend requests to some people who have posted here (Game Center), but I really don't have much faith that the requests are going through.
And, I pulled a complete rookie move and already collected this morning, instead of waiting til 10:30 to see if there are doubles. Argh! It's like I've never played an event before, lol!! Anyhow...I have room for 1 gem + food friend.
Ever since the last event update, DV often just shuts down when trying to give or receive gifts. I haven't seen any posts about this issue. Am I unique?
Hi roxorz! No, that is a well known glitch many of us have experienced for quite some time. The social menu glitch. Just reopened DV and go straight to the social menu and try gifting and receiving prior to doing anything else. Different players find different things work for them as far as which to do first, gifting or receiving....but it may well crash again while trying to visit friends' parks. Just reopen and visit before doing anything else. At least, this is what has been working for me.

I pulled the same rookie move. Add to that I took yesterday off from the game and forums thinking I was safe to do so and just found out about the event a half hour ago. So, I'm starting at -280 bits of dust on Day 2, possibly -560 if it's doubles weekend and I've already collected. I have really good gem friends but at 5 bits a piece, I would have to be on the prom court to be get to the daily gift limit. Maybe some mad redecorating will increase my popularity!
Well it has been 3 days since I was able to get into my game. Yep! 1 day behind in the event. I am flooding BFS with emails. Every hour. lol! Strange thing is, they always respond promptly and when my game crashed during the last event, they had it fixed and running quickly. This time, nothing. Just the usually we received your email response.
I have confiscated my grandsons game. He abandoned it a few years back, and although it's not on the level of my park, and I am not starting from scratch, it needs a lot of work. I have tried to keep up with it, but RL gets in the way of playing 2 parks as one. Only thing missing is I didn't play the last event like in my game so no second monolith or relic. Not concerned because dUring BEB I can get them.
I think my issue is that I have 1of every elemental dragon at L20. 1 of every epic at L15. 5.7 B DC, 3000 saved gems, and 110+ million treats. 3 years of dedication to get there and planning. I hate to lose it. But it is just a game, so moving on!
I love the event. I saw some posts about the purchasing the twilight tower. I would buy it. I really like. I change my sky all the time. Even now. From dusk to night to dawn to day, very pretty.
On what is now my second park I can give gems to 4 people. First 4 to send a friend request via Game Center to wildskull6 I will accept. Be sure to state its dragonvale. I gem everyday. Would love some friends at this park.

tpring1: have you tried accessing your park from another device? Someone else's iPhone or iPad?
I sincerely sympathize with you. Give BFS all the heck that you can. I hope they can get you back into your game and provide you with some lost star dust.
