This is my first post ever to the Community and I first just wants to say that the people here are truly the most kind and generous participants I've ever come across in a forum of this sort. Koala to you all! (if my wording is incorrect it's because I am from Sweden. Or stupid. Or both..)
Secondly I would just like to share a little tips/trick I discovered when trying to find the hidden eggs in the egg hunt and which has also been very helpful when searching for pockets of Stardust in the current event. (Maybe this trick is something that is very old news for many of you and if that is the case I just hope that you can forgive me for stating the obvious!)
Since I have reached level 65 and have all the islands and they are full of habitats, decorations and most of all dragons (!) it can be a little difficult spotting the eggs/Stardust when scrolling around the screen even in close-up mode bacause of all the distractions. If you tap a piece of you paths and then go into "edit paths"-mode the screen changes and habitats etc becomes slightly more transparent. The dragons, and visitors stay somewhat more the same but it is a lot easier to spot the Stardust pockets now. During the Egg Hunt, particularly towards the end when there were many eggs to be found, I spotted for example eggs hidden behind the moon in the Moon Habitats, of which I have a few.
That's just a little tip I hope may be useful to someone who, like me, sometimes gets a little frustrated "cruising" around the various islands again and again searching for the elusive pockets of Stardust.

Great tip! I suspect sometimes things are hiding behind dragons as well. So you might look at where the wings flap or even move habitats around if you have a stubborn hiding star. (Or just go out of the game, make sure its shut down completely, and come back in. So the stars will move and might be in a better place the next time)
They can also hide behind uncleared rocks. If you see that, after getting out of edit mode, just touch the screen where you saw it and all will be well.
Oh and if you don't have many paths, it can be worth it to place one spot of path somewhere inconspicuous on each island to make this easier!

Why, oh why haven't I learned to check this forum before opening my game & doing all the daily chores??? I completely forgot today might start a double weekend & have been merrily collecting all the stars I can before I start the rest of my day. Habits are hard to break & new habits hard to start.

Well it has been 3 days since I was able to get into my game. Yep! 1 day behind in the event. I am flooding BFS with emails. Every hour. lol! Strange thing is, they always respond promptly and when my game crashed during the last event, they had it fixed and running quickly. This time, nothing. Just the usually we received your email response.
I have confiscated my grandsons game. He abandoned it a few years back, and although it's not on the level of my park, and I am not starting from scratch, it needs a lot of work. I have tried to keep up with it, but RL gets in the way of playing 2 parks as one. Only thing missing is I didn't play the last event like in my game so no second monolith or relic. Not concerned because dUring BEB I can get them.
I think my issue is that I have 1of every elemental dragon at L20. 1 of every epic at L15. 5.7 B DC, 3000 saved gems, and 110+ million treats. 3 years of dedication to get there and planning. I hate to lose it. But it is just a game, so moving on!
I love the event. I saw some posts about the purchasing the twilight tower. I would buy it. I really like. I change my sky all the time. Even now. From dusk to night to dawn to day, very pretty.
On what is now my second park I can give gems to 4 people. First 4 to send a friend request via Game Center to wildskull6 I will accept. Be sure to state its dragonvale. I gem everyday. Would love some friends at this park.

I completely understand why you are upset over your park! In fact, I don't feel it's right hat you give up on your park on BFS' terms. Make sure that BFS fix your park, because after all that love and effort you've put into it, I know how hard it would be to restart. I am terribly sorry this has happened to you, and urge you, like Myke said, to log in from another device. That way you can find out more precisely where the problem is occurring.

Yeh, I did the same thing. But to be honest I don't even care anymore. This game has caused me too much stress during events...
Some people may call it a rookie mistake, but sometimes I would say it's a veteran's mistake... Falling into habits causes this sort of mistake.

tpring1: have you tried accessing your park from another device? Someone else's iPhone or iPad?
I sincerely sympathize with you. Give BFS all the heck that you can. I hope they can get you back into your game and provide you with some lost star dust.
I am in agreement w/ myke. Try log in your game from a different device (and I have hardly ever agreed w/ the staff. myke? This is the first!)
How far do you live from the Apple store? There, they can run a complete diagnostic on your device, and should provide some ideas. It seems like DV's the culprit...maybe it's more than that?

I think you can buy them for gems in bring em back, but i think they're going to be pretty expensive. :/
cyn BFS said there will be something new when the event finishes.
I'm okay with a normal weekend... since I already collected a majority of my stars!
How much money did you spend, if you don't mind my asking? I typically spend $25(US) per event but I might have to stop if we're going to have monthly events going forward.

The entire park is shifted a bit whenever there is an event, to make room for the event island. It'll return back to normal if we ever have an event-free park again someday...

Wouldn't it be cool if the event island would become sort of a portal after the event ? Maybe to launch a completely new Park ? (DV 2.0) I think that it looks totally different from all the stuff we have had up to now.
In this event it will get a bit harder to get all prizes without real money. I have no obstacles left, the colosseum only gives 25 instead of 30, and friend gifts only 5 instead of 10. Luckily the fallen stars give 30 instead of 15 for the golden egg.
Is anyone else experiencing the problem that there are no more sounds ? Normally I have turned my ipad to mute but sometimes I like to have the sound. But there isn't any in my park at the moment. (Checked the options and the ipad sound) Should deleting the game and download it anew solve the problem ?
