So, I am about 4000 magic short of being able to get the 5 dragons I need plus all of the remaining spellform pieces. Is it better to get all of the spellform pieces and miss one dragon or better to get all dragons and miss four spellform pieces?

Get the pieces. You can clone the dragon later, or BeB breed.
The next event starting so soon is certainly a guess, but there is data behind that guess so I'd be willing to bet on it. I do hope I'm wrong, I'm going out of town that weekend (long Labor Day holiday here) and don't want to deal with a new event starting at the same time.

But seriously though, it does seem interesting. Maybe they'll introduce some glow in the dark dragons with multicolored light up accessories. And when you collect them all, they'll march through the streets and put on a parade of lights.

In the end, I'm missing three dragons: Quantum, Riptide and Sparkles. My last rift attempts tonight will be Sparkles, but I'm not going for desperate. Let's not even talk about eggs, duplicates or twins. Or those Barbie accessories.
They actually do nothing but crash my game. So gem friends, if you've been getting erratic gifts since this event started, it's not me - it's the 30 or so crashes I have to wade through (as though I didn't have other things to do...)

Before the next event starts in a couple moments, I just wanted to give a quick thank you to cavylove for letting us know that the Android update revealed August 19th as the last day of the Spellform event and to jerkymom for confirming the end date with a pic from the Google Play Store. Since many players didn’t receive a push notification from DV verifying the last day to collect Magic, and there was never even a simple effort made to add this info to BFS’s Secrets of Spellform page or to the event info in-game, we would’ve been left in the dark without their posts.
Concealing the last day of this event served absolutely no purpose for the player, didn’t add to the event or storyline, and only caused messy, unnecessary confusion. It was a whopping mistake.
But on to the next event...

I'm not sure what to do with my magic. I have 54,495 left. I wish you could buy twin versions. I bought a few habitats and a couple of apocalypse island themes but not sure what to do now. Maybe I should buy any costume pieces I need to have two versions of them all for regular and twin dragons. Other than that I have no idea. Did anyone figure out what's the best pedestal to buy and sell? It would be nice if you could donate your magic to other players cause I would give my magic to people on these boards who still need to get dragons, costume pieces and such. I got lucky with this event towards the end and it turned out very well for me. No twins and only a couple of rifts but I did get every dragon and pedestal. And I made most of the gems back that I threw away in the beginning. When all is said and done I guess I can't complain. It was a long and arduous event but BFS did make it doable with some luck as we approached the not clearly defined finish line. Thanks to them for that. Next time, hopefully, they will make it doable right from the start of the event.

If we don’t get at least a month, it is completely ridiculous. I could really use a break after this never-ending event, as it seems. I also need time to build up my gem stash again after that terrible waste before they changed the chest odds. If they dare start a new event almost immediately, I am going to demand a refund of at least a 1000 gems or I am simply not participating in their next event. Enough is enough, I have hit my limit now. Let me enjoy some of the most beautiful dragons of this game, for at least a few weeks, come on.

Instead of bombarding us with an endless string of events, why don't they do a Rift expansion. Mine is basically one big hibernation cave. I'd like to let some of those dragons breathe

I always thought that habitats bought during an event (from the prize tent/bazaar etc) did NOT count against our max habitats allowed.... Was i wrong? 🤔 I just bought a new surface habitat from the prizes & it did count against my max habs allowed ...

Sometimes events offer special habitats that don't count against your max limit. Like the dark and light reward habitats. I always snatch those up as soon as they become available because they don't count against my max. But others do, even if they're purchased during an event.

The time remaining to spend my magic is about 30 minutes earlier than the next game reset time. It's also 30 minutes different from the time remaining to breed the game dragons. Right now my time left to breed is 00:22:09:seconds and the time remaining to spend magic is 21:39:seconds. I don't think I've seen a difference in time like this before. When I look at my daily rewards when we sign in, it had the 22:09:seconds before I can collect again - Time remaining to spend magic is 30 minutes less. This make not make any sense - but the time to spend magic is 30 minutes less than any other time. Is this normal?

'The bottom of the ninth' is an idiom meaning at the final or last moment. It refers to the ninth inning of a baseball game; the 'bottom' of the ninth is batted by the home team as their last chance to win the game. I threw in 'home run' to further the sportiness.

Gamma is the best pedestal to purchase for DC. It can be sold for 3,000,000 DC and costs 200 Magic. At a rate of 15,000 DC/1 Magic, the Gamma pedestal is 15x better than letting the game convert your Magic at 1,000 DC/1 Magic when the event leaves.
