So really when does this bash end so I will know when use up the candycorn by? is it the same time as the bazarr timer that says just over 6 days for some dragons? do the pumkins just sit around in your islands if you don't see them or do they empty when I logout or every day get reset? I really did try to read the dev more info page, so its nice to know the culture here for help. Wont even bother you with trying to figure out spellcasts to costumize these guys.
Got the lost island upgrade on my main account, not seeing it on others now though. I've seen posts about it not being available in some people's parks, does anyone who didn't buy it still see it available?

This Event seems to be somewhat easier with respect to getting Candy and hence acquiring Dragons. Is it possible that the BFS crew knew in advance of the shut down, said “The heck with this!” ( or something stronger) and made the Event EASIER, like Events we’re back before Hasbro took over? After all, DV is no longer the money maker it once was...if they knew it was shutting down, what did they have to lose? 🤔

It seems to be easier because of the missing daily cap. This way we "had core players" can amass a lot of event currency. If you don't have the rift fully eqipped it is not as easy to get candies. And if you don't already have all the dragons from prior events there is still alot you can spend your candy on. Only thing that is easier in this event is that there are not that much new dragons and that they are available for 14 days instead of only 7. When I restarted the game nearly one year ago I had a back log of 200 missing dragons and not a single rift habitat. Now I'm down to 14 missing dragons and have 55 fully upgraded rift habitats. I was a bit overwhelmed with the last Christmas beb, not really knew on which dragon to focus, now after one full year cycle this is the first event to be relaxed with. I don't think that BFS made the event easier as a goodbye gift, it's just the normal change between the events.
But I'm curious concerning this year's Christmas event. It can be everything from super goodbye gift to buggy and not good thought-out (due to missing motivation)

I did the Lost Island upgrade when it popped up as available in my park. I couldn’t stand that big gap between my islands. Glad I did - it looks great 😀
I have all the event dragons, and over 30,000 candy left. Not sure if I’ll find something to spend it on, or if I’ll just get dragoncash instead.

This Lost Island is like the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. Now you see it now you don't. Some seem to have it show up others don't. Not a good thing. 🐨 to all who want it or trying to get it. It does look nice once you get it.🐨🐨

So when I got my Macabre dragon which was to “Herald the end” (could be interpreted as end of the event *or* end of DragonVale), I actually read the blurb in the finish goal window. It said “The goal isn’t to go on forever. It is to create something that will.” My question is two fold and we will never know the answers: Did they actually know before the event and plan for this to be the end, or did the people who are still working change the finish window after the axe fell? Does the go on forever statement foreshadow the Vale being left running as is after February?
Hnn, I can't log into FB to get the other half of my friends' list which dumps me in the Catch-22 of not being able to clear the app data to see if that fixes it... Hopefully it'll behave come tomorrow morning.

Three golden hybrids were all defined at the same time. The first, Fulgurite, was released shortly before the Backflip closing announcement. The other two have sat there untouched since that time. Who knows if they still have plans to release them. Maybe they only have contractual obligations to finish up the current event and release a winter one before the end, and that's all we will see, or maybe they'll try to get us as much as they can before that time.
I've seen no signs of a Thanksgiving 2019 event, for example, just the winter 19. We'll know for sure next week, but they're certainly not updating things as much as they used to do.

Eldritch dragons are easy too breed if you already bought one. I already have 12 (bred 11 in Coop and Epic caves). No luck on the other event dragons.

I've been playing DragonVale for about four years now, and I've never gotten to play the newer Thanksgiving event because something always came up around that time. I only played it once, back when it was a week long mini event, and there are many dragons I want to add to my collection from that event.
It's sad knowing that I might never get to participate in that again. I would've liked to have played that event just one more time before it all goes away.

I now have 4 dressed and one plain Eldritch dragon and two of all the others with 36,000+ candy left. I was really hoping something else would be released since I don't need the dragon cash.

I think the event ends next week. Macabre has a countdown time b/c it's in the limited part of the bizarre bazaar but that's not a countdown for the whole event. I liked this event but it was hard to breed the new dragons unless you already had one. Like everyone else I also ended up with a lot of extra candy.
Sounds like there were two other dragons that didn't appear from what Quil said and this could account for the extra candy or in the upcoming event will we need extra DC for something. There are so many possibilities and a lot of questions for sure.🐨

Quil found the last day of the event, 27 November, in the files.
My initial concern about this date was that Thanksgiving is on the 28th, suggesting there may be no Om of Noms this year, unless it’s combined with the Hallowe’en event.

I suppose if there’s another BEB, that would absorb any need for a Thanksgiving event. All that’s required are the dragons’ decorations, rain, and the release of the limited treats so players can evolve last year’s Thanksgiving dragons, and BEB always covers those necessities. Still, Om of Noms is a marvellous tradition. I always look forward to it, so if it doesn’t return one last time, I’m deeply sorry to see it go.
