The Hooded bug makes my skin crawl. I really don’t like seeing it in my parks.
TIP: If you want to display Hooded in the Vale, you can convert him into a baby at the Fountain of Youth.
So, I’m not sure if it is the same bug or not. I assumed since it was kind of black and orange it was. But this was more like ethereal mist that stayed constant ( no flickering) and cut through the second new island on the bottom row(#40) and obscured all of those islands including the triplets (the mist was kind of curved). I could not interact with habitats on the triplet.
Like I edited, when I logged out and back in it was gone. If it happens again I’ll get pictures.
The flickering bug is no longer in the game. The post I linked has images of the Hooded bug. It doesn’t look exactly the same in every park. But it’s always the black or black with orange blobs from Hooded’s tail.
In 2019, the Hooded bug started. Backflip fixed it after a couple of weeks. By 2020, Forum members were reporting the flickering bug. When I looked at a video of the flickering bug and slowed it down, I noticed the gigantic Hooded tail in a frame of the video. The flickering bug IS the Hooded bug. Backflip didn’t eliminate it; they just greatly minimised the glitch. In November 2022, after DV version 4.27.2 was released, the Hooded bug was back in the game. Deca did something that unravelled the flickering, and Hooded returned. It’s been like this ever since.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to confuse you. At the bottom of the post, it has the latest update on the bug. If I have a chance, I’ll rewrite the Hooded/Flickering post in the Help Desk. But I have to warn you, it will likely be a year from now, if not longer because I’m working on many other parts of the Help Desk, and it is not a fast process at all.

The only thing that seems to trigger the Hooded bug is Hooded being in the Vale. I think the park has to be a certain size as well, but the park doesn’t need to have all or most of the islands or be at max level.
If you zoom out, you won’t see the bug, but you can’t really play DV zoomed out. 😁
The only way to prevent Hooded from glitching is to hibernate him or convert him into a baby at the Fountain of Youth. The bug occurs with a frame in adult Hooded's animation. If he’s traited, you can display him in the Rift with no worries.

After miralen pointed out the ability to remove the new icons I checked in my park as I don't want the racetrack one to show and I use pretty much everything else without needing a reminder anyway, so I don't really need the icons personally. But I noticed in the options, the game had unticked Optimize Memory and Low Res is no longer an option. When I tried to put OM back on, it reset and turned itself off when I reloaded the settings. It looks like there could be a bug with these options, possibly caused by the new update? Is anyone else experiencing this? I can upload a video if needed but I find it complicated to upload so I'd rather not if other people are also experiencing it anyway.

Deca is aware that the Optimise Memory cannot be enabled, Low Resolution Mode is not visible on the Option menu, and the menu contents are too big. They are looking into the issues.

According to a Deca support person who I've been emailing with an issue with my Google account, there are currently issues with connecting to Google accounts at the moment. (The context in my case is that I attempted to reconnect to a different Google account and it gave me an error message, eventually the person replied saying there's currently an issue which is why I'm getting the error message.) Just letting people know. The support person said Deca's working on it.

However, Deca addressed the Google login problem, and they thought it was resolved with the latest update (4.31.0). Yesterday, a Redditor informed me that they still can’t log in after updating, and support didn’t offer a workaround. They gave me their ticket number, and I passed it on to Deca. Can you please message me your support ticket number? Deca has requested to be notified if players are still having an issue logging in so they investigate further. Thank you!

It's complicated since I had to start at least two tickets as Deca didn't seem to be getting replies for one of them (they told me twice they'd closed the ticket due to inactivity even though I'd been waiting for their reply). I can try and sort through my emails to find the other ticket(s) if they might be useful, but the last one I replied to is #4530286.

I like to take screenshots of individual dragons in high resolution. Guess that is a thing in the past now 😭
It looks like games are set on high res permanently atm? Either that or it's permanently on whatever setting it was before the option was accidentally removed in the update. I'm not totally sure.
Either way, from what I gather, the removal of the low res option was an unintended side effect of the most recent update, so I'm guessing Deca's working on fixing it.

I believe players’ Low Resolution Mode settings are the same as how they left them before they updated. I don’t see a resolution difference in my game that had it disabled. And if low res was turned on by default, there would be complaints from players who can’t open their game after updating.
I asked Deca if support can turn Low Resolution Mode on and off for players. They confirmed they could. So if players need Low Resolution Mode enabled/disabled, please contact support.
(Also, I asked if support Optimise Memory can be turned on/off by support. This seems less likely, but I’ll update this post once I receive confirmation.)

The Double Rewards feature is not doubling the Daily Rewards after players watch an ad. Deca is aware of the issue. It will likely be patched with the next update. Until it’s fixed, there’s no need to watch the Double Rewards advert.

Thanks for letting us know. So, no more watching ads for another 25 gems. That is the only time I try to double the reward. But on the plus side, Deca haven't fixed the bug that crashes the game when other gems are given for the daily reward. Crashing isn't great, but the 25 gems in my gift menu are wonderful. 💎 😉

The dev team looked into the bug further today and implemented a temporary fix for the Google login issue, while they work on a permanent solution. Google login should work right now. I asked support to set my park to high resolution, but they wouldn’t do it. They are working on fixing the option menu though. Guess l’m stuck in low res until then…. Sigh.

The fix is here with the latest update! The post on General DragonVale has all the details.
Support tested turning on Low Resolution Mode for a player, and the setting did not stick in the player’s park, so it looks like they may not be able to activate low res, and that’s why they declined.

It seems like there are no in-game breeding hints for Ignis, Scout and Virgonian.
I have these three hints in-game, it’s possible you haven’t unlocked them yet. If the dragons aren’t currently available, there won’t be the option to watch an ad or unlock it for gems. To unlock the hints, you need to have bred (or purchased) two of the dragons in the Vale.
Thanks for checkling! Funny, those dragons doesn’t exist for me in the beredning hints at all. (And I have 3 dragons of each kind, not that it matters). But it’s not a problem really, (I thought it was a global thing, that’s why I brought it up).
