I have - only noticeable difference is that I crashed 4 times picking up from my park instead of the normal twice.
I am so sick of the constant crashing - I wish they would fix that!!!!
My iPad Gen 6 kept crashing even in low resolution until I invested $800.00 to buy an iPad air 4. I will not buy another iPad just to play DV.
I hear ya ooma and I’m with ya. I don’t know what my iPad ‘Gen’ is…it’s an Air 2. I’ve had to go to low res and then to black & white and I still can’t even do a complete collection without crashing. I bought the Air 2 after incessant DV crashing on my ‘original model’ iPad and the very next week, Apple introduced an even newer, upgraded iPad which would probably run DV OK even now 🤬. The Air 2 worked just fine until DV introduced The Rift. That’s when the crashes really kicked in. There are some really careless ‘memory management’ problems e.g. not properly returning memory to the system after exiting DV subroutines. Their answer is to get newer devices with more memory rather than find the coding problems and fix them. I really don’t want to ‘invade’ my ‘rainy day fund’ to buy yet a 3rd iPad as this one works great for all the rest of my needs even though the larger display of the Pro would be great for my music.
Breeding hint: UMBRA can only be summoned with the ten Tent decorations and the SCOUT dragon.
Cloning percentages:
Umbra + Umbra at the Epic and Enchanted locations = 30% Umbra + Umbra at the Rift = 30% Umbra + Umbra at the Cooperative = 20%
Breeding/incubation time: 30 hours
Status: Limited tier, 10 days
Hidden elements: Umbra contributes cold, earth, dark

UMBRA TIPS
Since Umbra is an evolve dragon, here’s some tips to help you evolve and clone Umbra.
• You can purchase Umbra or buy its evolve decorations in the Limited tier of the event market. Umbra’s decorations have NOT been added to the mini-games (and they’re not in the guaranteed chests).
• It will cost a total of 8,000 Candy to evolve Umbra, if you own Scout. 7,000 to purchase the decorations and 1,000 to summon / evolve.
• You cannot clone Umbra with one Umbra as a parent. BOTH parents must be Umbra to result in an Umbra offspring.
• To obtain an Umbra pedestal, you can either buy it from the event market, or breed two Umbra dragons and select the pedestal option.
• When you’re evolving a traited Umbra, be sure Scout is set to the trait you want Umbra to acquire. Umbra will only retain that trait, not the additional traits you have unlocked for Scout.
• If you collect pedestals and traited pedestals, you’ll need to evolve at least 2 traited Umbra dragons. Breed them together in the Rift, after acquiring the traited pedestal, transport them to the Vale and breed for the regular pedestal.
• I will have a level 20 Scout in the co-op for a couple days to help players who need another Scout or twin Scout. Then I’ll switch to Umbra.

Just bought all the decos for Umbra, it gave me the motivation to do a bit of island design! 9K outlay was worth it, I’d say. Work has been quite hectic so I was glad that I could buy all of the decos instead of having to find them in mini games etc.
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

I'm really proud of myself this time, because I decided to get creative and try something new, and it looks fabulous!
See, I've got so many ghost pedestals (all of them breeding fails, the ghosts really like me for some reason and flock to my park every year) that I put some of them between the spooky fences to save on event currency. I also started adding random bone piles in the dirt, so it looks like something is buried here.
Maybe that's why I've got so many ghost dragons visiting my park. This island was once an ancient burial ground, and now the restless spirits roam the land during the month of October.

The only good thing about Umbra not being breedable, is that I can use my rift breeding for dragons from Hallowe'ens past that I haven't managed to get a rifted version of yet.
Feels slightly anticlimactic to just buy the evolution decorations but *I* ain't gonna' complain about not having to fight RNG... lol

I would much rather have a way to get most of them without outright paying.
I agree. For the future I would like to see new decos appear the first week of the event and you are able to earn them along the way and then release to buy towards the end or when the dragon is released. It would be more fun and more of a challenge that way. I had 2 rift versions, rift pedestal, regular and regular pedestal + blue fire again a few minutes after release so... I am going to work on a regular twin and a twin pedestal and other things while my other caves are empty.

I never thought to use dup pedestals to decorate! That is such a good idea! I'm going to have to start saving them. 😁

Oh my goodness! 😀 Yes, cynmed you are right. I absolutely love Underworld and I was first introduced to them during live performance several years ago. They threw in Born Slippy as a little treat at the end of their performance. I'll never forget how great it sounded. I've been love with that band ever since.
And yes, dragonglow you're right about it being from Type O Negative. They're one of my favorite bands, their song Christian Woman is my favorite song of all time. The moment I first laid eyes on Heavy Metal, I knew I had to give it that name in memory of Peter Steele.
You guys are very clever. It's not every day I come across someone who is familiar with the type of music I listen too. So I'm pleasantly surprised to see that somebody recognized their names.

Actually it’s almost like DECA finally gave us a break without stopping the endless events. I have gotten all the new stuff I need from the event, or I already have the candy to but it, so I don’t feel the pressure to get more candy or try for breeding new dragons. I can focus on remodeling and breeding for missed rift dragons from the past. I like the event ending this way without the pressure, but at the same time the event is still going on for the newer players or people who still need.
adlerist please pass the feedback to them that this was a good solution to the need for breaks, and the player gets to choose if they need more. If this was on purpose the person who suggested it deserves a bonus.
I definitely agree that it's a good way to end the event, especially since I am missing so many rifted versions of the dragons from previous years' events (8 in one park, 6 in the other) and I have had no luck at all so far in rift breeding any of them. This would have been a great event to have the extra caves where you get currency the first time you breed a dragon and then claim one dragon for each cave you've activated (I forgot what those caves are called), especially since there are fewer ways to earn candy in this event. But as far as the dragons in this year's events go, it's been good, and even getting 10 tents in 10 days wasn't as bad as I feared, since we didn't have to gamble for them. So overall, a good event, and I like the new Melody element too, and look forward to seeing more musical-genre dragons... my only comment there is that at this point the name seems a bit odd because I don't think of metal, punk, and techno as "melodious."
I am also truly enjoying this relaxing end to the event. It’s a nice change before the hectic Holliday season begins.
I’m also full of excitement to see what Melody dragon comes next. Heavy Metal and Punk are so Halloweenish and Techno is very appropriate this week, there’s the huge EMC going on in Las Vegas right now. Just think of all the musical possibilities for future dragons, some smooth jazz for valentines, classical for Easter, maybe reggae for carnival. A show tunes dragon! 😆 I’m hoping for a Bing Crosby dragon for xmas 🎅🏻

I got my two extra traited Scouts today so bought the decorations and evolved both of them - now I can concentrate on breeding the dragons I’ve missed. If I can breed just one more, and if I leave Etch (because it’s going to plague me in a future event like Burrow is now) and hopefully get one for the final day gift, then I’ll be able to buy all the ones I don’t have.
Except Corrupticorn. I have the Flames but only one Chromacorn, any thoughts on the best way to get a second?

A second Chroma was eluding me for awhile. I finally bought a second and bred two more fairly easy to evolve to Corrupt. Then I was able to also breed for the pedestals for both since I had two of each dragon. If you have the extra currency that is an option to think about. I understand if you want to clone it though, but it may take awhile since it contributes all the ten primary elements which makes for a lot of possible fails.
