I'm feeling a little disappointed because I wanted Umbra to go on my Halloween island, only to realize that he's in the Hidden category and can't go in a Spooky habitat. Really cool looking dragon, though. I'm just not sure where to put him atm.

I've put my two trained Umbra dragons in a rift habitat close to my Melody habitats. Any rift dragons can be brought to the mainland.
I definitely agree that it's a good way to end the event, especially since I am missing so many rifted versions of the dragons from previous years' events (8 in one park, 6 in the other) and I have had no luck at all so far in rift breeding any of them. This would have been a great event to have the extra caves where you get currency the first time you breed a dragon and then claim one dragon for each cave you've activated (I forgot what those caves are called), especially since there are fewer ways to earn candy in this event. But as far as the dragons in this year's events go, it's been good, and even getting 10 tents in 10 days wasn't as bad as I feared, since we didn't have to gamble for them. So overall, a good event, and I like the new Melody element too, and look forward to seeing more musical-genre dragons... my only comment there is that at this point the name seems a bit odd because I don't think of metal, punk, and techno as "melodious."
The Runic Breeding Caves would’ve been an exception fit, especially with Dragons’ Week. Donation boards have been profitable, but the boards only work well for those who have eggs in their Gifts and two of every dragon.
Your comment about the unmelodious dragons made me laugh. I like metal, techno, and punk music — with punk being the best genre and the best dragon. But I’m sure there will be a vast array of Melody dragons to fit everyone’s taste.
Unless they release the Elevator Music Dragon.

The only good thing about Umbra not being breedable, is that I can use my rift breeding for dragons from Hallowe'ens past that I haven't managed to get a rifted version of yet.
Actually it’s almost like DECA finally gave us a break without stopping the endless events. I have gotten all the new stuff I need from the event, or I already have the candy to but it, so I don’t feel the pressure to get more candy or try for breeding new dragons. I can focus on remodeling and breeding for missed rift dragons from the past. I like the event ending this way without the pressure, but at the same time the event is still going on for the newer players or people who still need.
adlerist please pass the feedback to them that this was a good solution to the need for breaks, and the player gets to choose if they need more. If this was on purpose the person who suggested it deserves a bonus.
I completely agree with you. I told Deca on Friday that Umbra is a 'well-earned break for endgamers'. I had my traited and twin Umbras within a minute of its release. For newer player, Umbra may take longer, but there’s still time to earn Candy.
It is relaxing to be able to focus on other parts of the game. Personally, the timing has been perfect. I have a million other things going on right now, so not needing to worry about the last limited is like finally having a chance to come up for air.

I’ve started the thread and moved all the Dragon Draw posts from 20 July (DD’s initial release) until today to the new thread, so there’s a historical record of Dragon Draw’s progress and activity. We’re already at 6 pages! Who knew Dragon Draw is so chatty.
In the coming days, I’ll work on the thread more and add Dragon Draw instructions and images to the first post, plus a table of contents so members can skip to relevant posts.
In the meantime, please feel free to post all your questions, concerns, updates, strategies, tips, tricks, comments, and feedback on the new Dragon Draw thread!

I am caught up with what is available. I needed a couple non event rift pedestals from dragons I had two of and snagged those pretty quickly, and even managed opal and sanguinite rift pedestals.

I gave up on everything just to repursure Rift Morpho. I still didn't get it or even a traited Eldritch "fail".

This is my official whine 🍷 for breeding one of the many I’m missing. I’ve been trying for four different dragons (Wendigo, Iden, Barborous, Scourge) in the four different caves and no joy with ANY of them

I managed to breed a traited Scourge, after maybe a week, up to 10,000 each day. Now I am using it for traited Malefice without success. Bred two non traited though. So yeah, save me a seat at the lounge. I will bring more green apples.

Is the party in the whine lounge a costume party? I am going to dress as a paramedic if it is because of all these crashes.
Well, I finally bred a macabre in the rift. It is plain and doesn’t have a trait. But I know after 4 or 5 days non stop breeding through 10k that I have the correct combo. I want a rifted macabre, not a plain one.

I know I have a lot of ratings to catch up on. I’ve been visiting family for the last couple weeks. I haven’t seen them in over a year b/c of COVID and being cautious. But I had to come back for a little while and check out Dragon Draw!
After a big Mystery Egg binge, I’m just finally going to settle for a break. This event done to much numbers of my interest. A Shame that the hard-to-get Halloween drags are still kept off the final day gift. I’ll switch to Barbarous before taking a rest since I got a twin Charlatan during the binge.

I know that feeling. I've been trying for a Rift Barbarous. I have checked that I have the breeding hint correct, I have checked and double checked the dragons that I'm using. I've tried switching them around Oni + Ragnarok then Ragnarok + Oni. The breeding hint is going to be etched in my brain forever - and I haven't breed one - not even a non-rifted version.

Are we going to have a full on Thanksgiving event this year? Last year things got a late start and it feels like Halloween and Thanksgiving kind of merged into one event.
As much as I love Halloween, I'm really looking forward to seeing Deca design some Thanksgiving dragons. I don't think we've had that before so it'll be fun and interesting. So long as Punk doesn't crash the party and dance on top of the table during the Thanksgiving dinner.

Might of already been mentioned but I noticed that the Thicket dragon is available on the final day gift list, it was not in the bizarre merchant or have a green hour glass in the dragonarium.
