ATTENTION: my game froze at the Vote screen (it’ll ask you to please wait… forever). Deca said this is a known issue. Restarting the game resolves the issue.

My hopes are paced and my disappointment is immeasurable. I never believe the new feature will be yet another lottery. It can benefit for new players who lack most of the dragons. But why do that when I or they can just keep gambling on Mystery Eggs until I or they get the dragon I or they need.
If the auctions follow the Mystery Egg pattern, I could consider using the feature, but in the meantime, I don't think I will use it since it'll be a waste of Soul Shards.
I might change my opinion once the feature actually works.
PSA: there’s a glitch with Dragon Draw. The dragons to vote on are not showing.

I guess it is a way to help newer players obtain dragons.

Yes, this is definitely for newer players. This issue was mentioned to Deca. But the good news is Deca’s comfortable enough with DV that they’re beginning to develop new features. It’s a big step for them, and in the future other new features (many ideas have been brought to Deca’s attention from players and Game Reps) may be more inclusive and benefit us long-time Valers.

OK thanks! That’s where I’m at right now and I was kinda wondering what was going on and how long I had to wait. I’ll check into the game later and see they’ve worked out the bug.

Your disappointment is immeasurable! It’s not that bad lol. I agree it’s sad Dragon Draw is not helpful for people who have all the dragons. I’m working on some twins and Rift versions. I’m not going to spend money on shards but if other people have the money and want to, then I guess it might work. I think it’s just something extra to get people to play more.
Hopefully the next thing they’ll do is something for players who have all the dragons but need twins or Rift ones.
Can we just close out and not lose new building I can’t sit and wait for DECA to do something. Have end of driveway to do.😁
Yes, just close your game. That’s what I did. When you return the new building will still be there. 😊

I LOVE ❤️ DECA! I am so thankful for the day they decided to take us on! They have done a fabulous job with Dragonvale! They have kept the essence of it, created gorgeous new dragons and added fun and exciting new features! I cannot say enough good things about DECA - just love ‘em! ❤️😃👏🏻👍🏻

I actually think this new lottery is a good thing that can benefit long time players too. Because not everyone uses mystery eggs to get what they want.
I don't purchase mystery eggs. I don't even use the rift except for bingo cards. My rift was never developed, mostly because I dislike the rift in general. So I don't even earn enough E to purchase eggs there. Not with a handful of islands and barely any dragons in the rift.
And besides, lotteries are fun! It's much more fun and exciting to win something instead of buying it. Like when I used to go to the harvest festival and win a cake at the cakewalk. Which is much more fun than going into a store and buying a cake, for example.
It's also really great to see DECA trying out new things. A shame it's still a little bugged out right now. But I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough.

Ok, but only one contributor will receive the choose/ winning dragon. How many players are there ? Sweet dreams guys. If all those who bet that dragon would receive one would be ok, but it is not intended that way…Unless I totally misunderstood….

Do we know if the dragons from Draw can be twin and rift versions if you already own that dragon, similar to mystery eggs? That will tell if this is useful to those of us with nearly full collections and needing mostly twins or rifts.
PSA: Dragon Draw will be under maintenance mode to address several issues.

I requested the dragon be awarded through a mystery egg. So if the player owns a regular version, they’ll receive a twin, and if they have a twin, they’ll receive a traited-twin. This way long-time players who have all the dragons will be motivated to play. No word yet on how the dragon will be awarded.

Not sure if it is just me, but I can't get the new building in my park. It is 4x4 and I don't have an open 4x4 spot. all my spots are covered in cubes to make it easier to find the visitors. The game will not allow me to get out of the tutorial to clear a spot to put the building so I am in limbo. Anyone else having this issue? I have forced close the game 3 times but each time it restarts it is in the tutorial.
Edit: I submitted a help ticket with DECA. closed and restarted 5 more times with no change. Hopefully they can help me get into my park today.

None of my alts will have enough space to place the building either. Certainly open a ticket, this will impact a lot of players.
