I've managed to breed several Mesmers in the rift with earth, plant and fire traits. However when I go to the Dragonarium and make the Mesmer maximum age, the traits are really undetectable! Did they perhaps forget to do them?

I have bred a fire traited Mesmer also. The fire trait is very, very subtle - probably need a magnifying glass if you're looking on a phone. Mesmer has a lot of detail, perhaps Deca didn't want to overwhelm the dragon with too much.
Back to the whine lounge hoping to breed a Mesmer Dragon. I'll bring some ale and a freshly baked King's Cake, to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Anyone want to join in for some fun?
I'm not sure if I missed this being mentioned, but the Dreamcloud is no longer a Cold decoration, but a Melody decoration.
Thanks for posting this! Still awaiting a response from Deca about Lightmare, Lumineux, Lullaby, and the Dreamcatcher deco gaining the much needed and much requested Dream element.

Sooo many long fails with Mesmer. Gave up and bought it, and will try to clone it in the coop. All other breeding areas are now focused on getting a second Entwined.

I think I will have to buy it but was hoping to get a couple habitats and the Prismatic Pantheon for my baby park. It is always so expensive, but I like to use my wishes for islands. I didn’t get Cupido, but didn’t care because it looked silly. 🤭

Once I realized Mesmer was a Mardi Gra dragon, I understood the design of it better and like it more.
Now if I could only breed one. Maybe Fat Tuesday will be the trick for me.
That’s really interesting. Why do you think Mesmer is a Mardi Gras dragon? Mesmer looks like it could be wearing a mask but I thought it was supposed to be hypnotic eyes or something. Its description continues the story about dreams, fits this event and seems to be referring to F.A. Mesmer. I lived in New Orleans for a while and don’t see a connection with Mesmer and Mardi Gras, but I’m viewing it from Mardi Gras in the U.S. The Carnival and Masque dragons definitely seem Mardi Gras themed tho.

i just look at the game to read Mesmer descript & u right they were hypnotize. i guess they forgot to mention before?
Oh dear... So I’ve heard that the final day prizes are indeed copy and pasted from last year too which locks the poor players out from the hard-to-breed 2020 Valentines Dragons.
I must be relived now that I’ve bred a traited Masque while I was minding my own business rift breed to stabilize my EC.
The name is my reaction when that happened. But it’s still sad that the final prize is a letdown... Just like the whole event.
Here’s one for the whine lounge! I hope deca will not continue adding event dragons with such terrible breed rates that make them almost impossible to get. I just now gave up and purchased the lullaby dragon. I have been going for that literally the entire event, with an elder dragon and the lullaby in the coop, no luck whatsoever. I felt the same with lightmare after spending 1k gems in the start of the event with no luck. I bought lightmare levelled it to 20 and put it in coop, still I haven’t received any twins. That may be the first time I have gone for so long with a new dragon in coop without someone twinning it . I guess those two twins is gonna be pulled in an EOM because that is just horrendous odds! 💩

I didn’t read the description at all. I have been relegated to a small screen for playing since the game is such a memory hog, the reading on a small screen is difficult and the storyline has just not been adding to the game.
Disclaimer: I have never been to Mardi Gras and I don’t observe Lent. I just thought the dragon looked like it was wearing a feathered mask, the purple and green coloring, Masque as a parent, the extravagant costume as an adult, the art style, and the timing. I had to come up with some rationalization to get the delirium dragon comment out of my head.
I finally managed to breed one last minute Ash Wednesday in the co-op. Was just about to give up and go back to trying for lightmare or lullaby in the co-op but I couldn’t remember the elements for those dragons, so I just hit retry and got lucky. Hoping for twins with the luck.
Despite my initial less than stellar experience with this particular event, koalas rallied and I ended up getting every dragon, although not in every permutation. But I did get at least one of every new dragon. That is something I would never have predicted given my slow start. I spent way too many gems on speeding up breeding and I focused solely on the new dragons and did not spend much time trying to get other older dragons I needed that were available. I will have to wait for another time for that. But all in all I am very pleased at this turn of events. LOL. And most importantly I enjoyed myself because I made peace with the possibility I would not get every dragon and certainly not all types of each dragon. Twins were particularly difficult this time around. But I had fun and since that's the reason I play it was a very successful experience.

Imagine my surprise when I checked on my park this evening and saw that I had a twin Masque from siledvw. I don't even have Masque as part of my collection. But it's kind of pretty and I've been thinking about getting one. Only now I don't have to spend time, gems or event currency.
