I've just upgraded to version 2 and Quil, this is amazing! I'm filling in the checklist now, and there are a few discrepancies I wanted to give the heads up (other than those in two+ categories). Some of them might be oversights by DECA. In Autumn in DVC, not in Dragonarium: Bushwhack, Huddle, Keyper, Maze, Sow, Squish, Sandstone In Autumn in Dragonarium, in Camping in DVC: Whimsical In Celebration in DVC, not in Dragonarium: Ancestor, Terradiem In Celebration in Dragonarium, not in DVC (might be in dual categories but this bit of the Draganarium is overcrowded): Bouquet, Feast, Flurry, Snowbrush, Thundersnow ... okay, I'm going to stop there for now

Question: what does the colour coding in the Checklist lists mean? Am I missing the key somewhere?
The PFECLWAMID colours represent each trait, so you can track which traits you’ve unlocked for every dragon. It may seem a bit excessive, but this is something several players, myself included, requested. It’s handy for the purple fire goal.
The other colour coding is to identify normal, twin, Rift, and Rift twin.

In the in game Dragonarium, dragons can be in multiple Dragonarium categories. The checklist can only have one category for a dragon, or they'd be listed multiple times on the checklist and who wants to keep multiple lines in sync manually? I could setup edit triggers to try to keep it synced, but with pasting data, loading data externally, and other weird things that can happen it may get out of sync too easily. So I chose 1 primary category for each dragon. But that's where it gets weird.
I started off using all the categories from the Dragonarium and putting dragons under what I thought made the most sense as primary. If a dragon was in multiple categories and one of those was epic, I chose the epic. For example Bogberry is Autumn, Om of Noms, and Seasonal. I chose Seasonal for that one. Once I ran through them all, some of the remaining categories were really small. A dragon might be in Om of Noms but not Autumn, or vice versa. I think Autumn was looking really small once you took out Om of Noms and epic dragons, so I thought about how to combine Autumn and Om of Noms - both occur in the fall and they are very similar. I found Autumn to be more generic, so moved everything in there.
That logic flowed to several of the various categories chosen, and their list of dragons. Some still ended up very small, like Summer. If someone wants to recategorize the dragons and come up with a better list, so long as it doesn't duplicate dragons between categories, I'll be happy to consider using it to replace the existing list. Or even just recommend moving a few around. I could even add a new tab to the Compendium to let you override any dragon on the list, and use that for a category (existing or new). That way you could move a dragon to wherever you want on the list.

Oh that makes a lot of sense, I didn’t realise you’d convinced some!
Of the ones I identified, I’d just recommend moving Whimsical to Autumn as that’s the only one that looked super out of place rather than one of several options

I phrased this wrong, though - I get the colour for the traits and the normal/twin/Rift/twin Rift, I was actually talking about the lists that are generated off the Checklist - some are different shades of green, some have red font…?

If it's highlighted in green, it means the dragon is available. There are two shades of green only because every other line is darker. Looks like there were actually three shades, but only supposed to be two. I just fixed the third. Red text means that not only is it available, but it's also a limited that's available. For example, Bouldershock would appear with just green, as it's always available. Bilby will have red text because it's not usually available but is for the current event.
Summary: Green background: Available to breed Red Text: Limited available to breed

I'm not certain, but it could be because there's a second version, linked to on page 4.

A few providers and sites don't let you use rebrand or other similar website redirects, as you can change where they point on the fly and you can't guarantee they'll point somewhere legit later if moderated earlier. But that's their whole point, they can point to the latest versions of things without having to own and manage your own website and redirects from there. And you can't really see where it's going to land. But then, someone malicious can own a website and change its contents too, so I personally don't get it.
You can try going to the direct link to the sheet: Direct Link Compendium, but it may not work after a few updates if I make large changes and recreate / copy the sheet.
Is there a reason the arbor isnt available in the compendium?
I noticed the arbor also isnt available in the sandbox.
Did Deca bring back the arbor, but only to buy, or is the compendium and sandbox just not updated?
Arbor is available to breed. The most reliable way to see if a dragon is available to breed is check in your Dragonarium. If it has a green hourglass it is good to go.
Arbor was only re-released yesterday. It can take a day or so for the compendium and sandbox to be updated. 😊

Quil, I am LOVING the checklist, those lists are so handy for helping me focus my breeding / fill out my collection. I do want to report that I think might be a bug- the list “has two dragons no egg” is also picking up dragons of which I only have one?

Fixed. Just change the cell P5 on that page to: =iferror(if(O3="Y",query(Checklist!C3:AR, "select E where AK+AL+AM+AN > 1 and AO = 0 and C <> 'S' and C <> 'R' order by E", 0),), "None")
and that fixes it so you don't need to download a new copy. The > 1 was > 0, and needed to be > 1. I'm not going to release a new version for that, it'll just be in the next.
I will look into making that entire page something I can update for everyone from my end, so I can add new queries, lists, or fix existing ones for everyone without new copies.

Thank you! I also fixed the similar list for Rifties. And then I was fascinated by your queries and went down a rabbit hole to filter out non-limited dragons on lists where I’m not planning on collecting them 🤓 I know they’ll reset next time you update but it’s fun to experiment and think about what is most useful for me!

Thank you for all of the work you've put into this Compendium!
I'm having on an issue, I can't figure out how to link the Compendium to my Dragonvale account. I've tried my park ID, user name, Friend ID AND my Game Center name.

Please help!!
Where have you been trying? I haven't read about this feature, so I'm wondering whether you might be trying to put your game ID in the URL box, which is actually used to transfer data from the Checklist from one Compendium to another.
Of course, I might have just missed the part that mentioned this feature - I'll double check.
Is anyone else finding that all the eggs are showing as Abraxas, or is this just my device?
Google introduced a new bug this past week with images and using them in multi-line array formulas. It has supposedly been fixed, but it can take days or weeks to propagate to all sheets. I fixed it at the source level last week, as it was causing problems there, but it looks like it hit the Compendium sheet today with the bug.
I've made a fix in the Compendium just now, version 2.07. This just finds another way to map the images to the sheet. You can copy version 2.07 and reload your checklists with the functions, or if you feel brave you can make the quick change yourself:
Open the hidden tab EggImages
In C1, change: ={"Egg";arrayformula(if(B2:B<>"", image("https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?id="&B2:B, 1), ))} to ={"Egg"; map(B2:B, lambda(url, image("https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?id="&url,1)))}
Then open the Version tab and update change it to 2.07 so you won't get warnings that you're out of date. Finally, hide both tabs. It'll warn you that you're editing fields you shouldn't, just tell it it's ok for 5 minutes.
