Hello, I'm just getting into this game and found this site, the Compendium is very comprehensive and easy to use, so thanks alot for making it. One question I did have. You say that when it needs to be updated I have to get another copy? Would I have to input ALL my info back into the checklist? That would be quite tedious. Thanks for your help and hard work!

I'm not sure if there's a different way, but the way I use is the URL method in the Options page.
Create a new copy of the Compendium (don't delete the old one) On the new copy, go to the Options tab Copy the URL of the old copy There is an 'Enter URL:' box on the Options page, paste the old URL into the box of the new copy Wait for Status to become 'Connected' Select 'Yes' in the dropdown to import It will take a little while to load, but after that the old checklist info should be imported to the new copy. I think you have to manually change the checklist options (like whether you show ticks/numbers or twins/traited or eggs) but that doesn't take too long.
I believe at that point you can delete the old copy if you want to.
I love the compendium. I finally got to my laptop to upgrade to 2.08, also needing to re-personalise some of the checklist info columns. I can now be pretty confident in my numbers - 309 twins to blue fire (14 in nursery/gifts). Still good chances of success via Eggs of Mystery!

As I’ve just learnt, Twin Rift exclusives aren’t a thing. Is it possible to get those options removed from the checklist (in the same way untraited and normal twins aren’t an option for Rift Exclusives)?

You are correct that twin rift exclusives and twin rift primary dragons can no longer be obtained.
But when the Rift was introduced during the Roar of the Rift event, it was possible to choose a twin rift primary as your final gift if you already owned the dragon. Due to a bug, Spore was able to be bred/cloned in co-op for a short time, which could result in a twin dragon or pedestal.
This is probably why Quil has left a checkbox beside these dragons.

On the current version of the Compendium, when sorting the checklist by category, Lambovian is classified as Zodiac despite not being a Zodiac dragon (unless it magically updated and I haven't noticed it yet). Is this intentional?

Try running an update on the checklist, or switch to alphabetical and back.

Yes, I'm one of the weird ones with twin Spore, twin Metal Rift, twin Frostfluff, and twin Dark Rift dragon/eggs. Maybe an option to turn them off would be helpful.
Quil, should the Compendium be showing Shadowflash as still available or do I need to update somehow?
I removed Shadowflash. He wanted to stick around a little longer and join the anniversary festivities.

Having a problem finding Infinitum in the Breeding Sim and Combo Finder.
When new dragons or other data changes are done in the Compendium, I add them to sheets that are shared to each copy. This allows them to filter out unreleased dragons and such. Copies of the Dragonarium should be checking every 30 min or so (Google controls this) and updating any imported data from the parent sheets.
I did check the official copy of the Compendium 2, and Infinitum is there.
Most of the time, I notice the data flowing down within a few seconds to my copies. On rare occasions it takes longer, and I get impatient and force it down. Sometimes just refreshing your sheet or closing it and reopening it will work. I've not seen it fail to show up days later, but if you want to force the data down then you can do the following:
At the bottom, under 'All Sheets', find the hidden tab named 'Data' and open it. The first cell, A1, should have an importrange call. Change something on that command, delete a character, whatever. It'll fail to load. Then put it back, and it'll reload it again with the current data.
You shouldn't need to do this, but if the refresh of the sheet doesn't work and you feel comfortable doing the above, it should work.
Or you can setup your sheet to share, allow anyone to edit, and message me a link to it. I'll fix it and you can then turn off sharing again. I am curious why it hasn't updated.

Hi Quil, I'm loving the new checklist in the compendium but do find it rather overwhelming to fill in or update. I've tried alphabetically and by categories and just flounder while trying to fill it in. I have no idea what the limitations of implementation are, but a way to sort/filter and see current event dragons (even if not in the DV Event Shop categories, like the Dragonarium tab is) I would find very useful for keeping my checklist up to date with my new breeds and slowly being able to fill in the checklist in manageable chunks for anyone not able to dedicate hours to filling it in.

Welcome to the Forum fruitblinder. The Compendium is an amazing resource for all things DragonVale.
Smitten is in my Compendium. If you look in the Dragonarium tab and select all, it should be in the list. Or you could select Valentine's events - the list isn't as long.
Do you have the most current version of the Compendium? The Read Me tab should state that it is 'Up to date'. The Checklist summary tab should show that there are 809 unique dragons.
I hope that this helps. If you still can't find it please let us know where you are looking and we may be able to make some other suggestions.

If you are trying to see it as a result in the Breeding Simulator with just its combo of plant + fire + cold elements, it will currently only show up as a result if you select 'Yes' for 'BeB' ("Bring 'Em Back", which effectively means all unavailable dragons are also shown as possible results), because Smitten is not currently available to breed with its combo.
However, if you use Smitten in a breeding combo, it can be a result, because of a mechanic called "cloning" (where most dragons can be a result of any combo that uses them, even if unavailable or their requirements are not met). You can read this very helpful thread for the exceptions to "cloning": dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/thread/1430/breeding-cloning-rules-exceptions.
