Hi Quil Can I alphabetize the Runic Breeding Cave list? I see how to do a column but is there a way to do the whole spreadsheet? Thanks for any help!
If you highlight the columns A-I, click on Data/Sort Range/Advanced Range Sorting Options a box will pop up.
Click the box 'Data has header row'. Select how you want the range to be sorted from the drop down menu in the Sort By box (assume you want Dragon). (There is also the option to add another sort column.) Click sort.
It will come up with an error message 'You’re trying to edit part of this sheet that shouldn’t be changed accidentally. Edit anyway?'
I have clicked on the box and it has sorted the spreadsheet into alphabetical order. But I don't know if I have broken anything along the way.
Perhaps wait for Quil to confirm that it is OK to sort this way and it won't break anything. 😉
The only thing it'll break is if you try to update it for new dragons with the "Update" cell. You would want to sort it back by lowest Incubation time and by Name if times are the same, then update. I can certainly look into ways to improve the Runic list, it was created before I did the Checklist tab with the options page.

Hi Quil! Been loving the compendium. I was hoping that I would be able to filter the Dragonarium using my checklist the same way the Parent Finder can use dragons you own. Specifically, I just got a harmonious habitat and was hoping I could use the gold/min sort option on all dragons that can inhabit a plant habitat filtered by what I own, but I couldn't figure it out. It seemed like the filter option for Plant included every dragon with a hidden plant element, plenty of which couldn't actually use a plant habitat, and the "Plant" category is just what the game uses which neglects a ton of dragons with a visible plant element (also tending to be the rarer, better gold earners ironically enough).
I absolutely adore the Compendium and I am also a massive nerd so I wanted to share some of the modifications I've made that I find useful.
Additional Checklist Info columns - Have 2 Limited Dragons but No Normal - useful when I've got free breeding caves =iferror(if(R3="Y",query(Checklist!C3:AR, "select E where AK+AL+AM+AN > 1 and AF = 'Y' and AK = 0 and C <> 'S' and C <> 'R' order by E", 0),), "None") - Missing Any Available Rift - useful when I want to know what to breed in the Rift, as Breeding Hints only show available non-event dragons at the top =if(G3="Y",query(Checklist!C3:AN, "select E where AM = 0 and AN = 0 and C <> 'N' and C <> 'S' and E = AJ order by E", 0),)
Additional Conditional Formatting (rule must be at top of conditional formatting list to work) - Dragonarium tab - highlight dragons I don't have in the Rift, makes it really easy for me to compare percentages and combos for the ones I want Custom Formula applies to B6:B2202, =MATCH(B6,indirect("Checklist info!H5:H"),0) [noting that Col H in Checklist info is my second custom column above] - Runic tab - highlight dragons I only have one of and thus can't do double parent cloning Custom Formula applies to B2:B703, =MATCH(B2,indirect("Checklist info!C5:C"),0) - Runic tab - highlight dragons I don't have a twin of Custom Formula applies to B2:B703, =MATCH(B2,indirect("Checklist info!B5:B"),0)

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but assuming that you want to update your Compendium checklist via the Update Checklist box on the Options page?
In Quil's reply earlier he mentioned to sort the sheet back to its lowest Incubation time and by Name before updating. Unfortunately, you will then have to realphabetize your list. (not a word either) 😊

Those are some serious modifications. I can see that they would be really useful. When I have some spare time and feeling brave, I might try one or two out. 😊

I can’t claim much credit, the new columns are heavily based on the ones already there, and Auntie Google helped me out with conditional formatting. All the information is already there, thanks to the great checklist. The biggest hurdle is myself, reaching for a piece of paper to track something offline before realising I can use the Compendium for that! I know I used to manually highlight limited dragons I only had one of, but it would get thrown off by new dragons during the event.

I don't think Winter is showing as available. You have to select BEB at the moment. But I've definitely bred it in the game.

That is a very weird issue. I've just updated both my Compendium's and the data for the Solis dragon hasn't changed. No help at all, sorry. Sounds like a question for Quil.
I have broken my Compendium! Using the combo finder, I got a message like - not in lookup. I pressed it a couple times, thinking it would help. I tried to update, thinking it would fix this cell problem. Now there is nothing in my check list. Do I have to start over or can someone show me how to recover before my stupidity?

I don't think I can help, but perhaps I can ask some questions that might help Quil help you.
Has the cell in your combo finder 'fixed itself' and can you use your combo finder?
When you tried to update, did you just click 'Update Checklist' in the Options tab or did you copy and paste your checklist information into the 'Enter URL' box on the Options tab? (as you would do if there was an update to the Compendium)
When you say there is nothing in your checklist do you mean the page is totally empty or have all the number and ticks you have entered for dragons/pedestals have disappeared?
Have you tried closing it and reopening it? I don't expect this to work, but there's no harm in trying.
I have opened and closed several times. Looked for older versions. Everything works, except the checklist page has #N/A, and the checklist info page data is blank.
Thanks for any help. I don't want to load my data again. It took a LONG time!
