Friday, April 14th was RecallDoro’s last day at Deca Games.
Recall was a great friend of the DragonVale Community Forum. When I proposed the idea of The Origin Contest, he quickly agreed to it. A couple months later, when I pitched the concept of The Spoiler Contest, not only did he approve, he offered to have Deca sponsor the contest. Then a couple months later, he agreed to hold the contest at the start of each event. Recall was instrumental in developing the partnership between Deca Games and the Forum by reaching out and acknowledging us in our corner of the world.
The DV Game Representatives had the pleasure of working with Recall over the last three years. There is so much he did on a daily basis that helped the players and the game. From relaying rep requests and player concerns to advocating for changes, he has improved DragonVale, and we have all benefited.
While our hearts are heavy as we miss his daily presence, we are still in the good hands of VibeLily. VibeLily has been essential in providing advice, assistance, and communications to players everywhere. She has been absolutely outstanding in her outreach and support, and we look forward to working with her for many years to come.

Oh man, I didn’t know recalldorodeca left. I’ve been away for a couple months so I’ve been out of the loop.

PSA: DragonVale version 4.28.3 is now available It includes updates for tomorrow’s Maintenance Mode
Since DragonVale has never been in Maintenance Mode, a new version has been released. Deca has assured us that the previous version should be fine, but to be on the safe side, players should update.
The update is available in the App Store and Play Store.

Here are some questions for the latest round of Ask Me Anything (AMA Session 5)
- Could the Galaxy EOM (only Galaxy EOM) please be changed to give a traited Galaxy dragon that is not already owned with a trait please? Galaxy dragons are unable to breed in the rift and Galaxy EOM get ridiculously expensive and are akin to gambling. Veteran players are unable to complete their traited dragon collection. This will not cause an imbalance in the game as it there is currently no guaranteed way currently to get all the galaxy dragons in the Rift. Dragon Draw does not address this.
- Could there be a mechanism (or legendary dragon) be introduced to add or remove a trait when breeding in the Rift. This would only be possible when the dragon is bred, not on a dragon that has already been bred.
- Would it be possible to allow players to use a wish for traited dragons - this will not unbalance the game as a wish is only available every 100 days. Some dragons are not released often enough for veteran players to try and breed for them.
- During Dragons Week, could every dragon bred in the rift have a trait. The dragons are only available for a week, which is not long to breed a dragon with a trait as well as possibly breeding for event dragons. It is incredibly frustrating to breed a wanted dragon and it doesn’t have a trait.
- Thank you for the recent Twin Weekend. Could Twin Weekends please be for three days (Saturday - Monday) as they have been previously? Two days isn’t long enough, especially if the first breed is for 48 hours. Newer players don’t have the gems to speed these up.

PSA: Important information regarding the Time Skip Tokens
Please be aware the conversion rate for the Solarflare pedestal is much higher at 1:25000 than the tokens. If you purchased any tokens be sure to use them before the event concludes on Monday, September 18th at 8.00 a.m. MDT (daily reset).

I wanted to get several questions in if it’s not too late. I deleted my Reddit account because of the API fiasco.
1. Can we receive more Abundant Essence when collecting from habitats and opening the Ts’aishen daily chests? If we could receive triple the amount we are earning now, that would solve all the problems with Ts’aishen. And it would be the easiest thing to implement. Then, players will be able to upgrade Ts’aishen in a reasonable amount of time but not too quickly. Players will still be tempted to buy chests. And they can decide if they want to use Ts’aishen's collection power and upgrade it slower or wait and upgrade Ts’aishen faster. Removing the 1000 Essence price to use Ts'aishen isn't going to change the fact that it takes over 6 years to upgrade Ts'aishen. The problem isn't the cost of using Ts'aishen, it's the inability to earn a decent amount of Essence every day.
2. I’m trying to get all the dragons traited, but the Galaxy dragons are really difficult because they can’t be bred in the Rift, and the Galaxy EOM is way too expensive. Then to make matters worse, the Galaxy EOM cap was recently raised again. Can you please lower the cap on just the Galaxy EOM? It used to be 10,000 Etherium. Could it be 25,000 Etherium?
3. Right now, if we don’t own a dragon, we can wish for it. If we own it, we can wish for a twin. But if we own a twin, we can’t wish for a traited twin. Can we please wish for the traited version?
4. I know a lot of players have asked for this before, but it's not in the game yet, and it seems like a simple thing to update. Can the timers for Kairos and Gaia be changed to 3 days and 23 hours like how the Colosseum, Tiamat, and Bahamut are 23 hours? It would put the game in sync and prevent Kairos and Gaia from being ready later and later and later.
