• Tolzar’s Optical Oracle ads now payout 40 event currency (reduced from 50 EC) • Colosseum pays our 20 EC if you win gold (reduced from 25) • Mini games payout less (Name That Egg awards 16 EC, instead of 20) • The amount of EC you can purchase in the Market is slightly less • The mini colosseum on the event island likely has a reduced payout as well

There have also been some huge increases to the gem costs to upgrade a lot of habitats.
The Galaxy Egg of Mystery is back in the rift market for those that need them.

I’ve been very lucky so far. Cloned Spinky on the first attempt with elder Ghostly Fire, and Valeodon on the first attempt with Frostbite (level 20). A great reversal of fortune from the previous event that cost hundreds of gems.
Valeodon is in the co-op arguing with Zilla. If you’d like to clone him and we're not friends, please message me, and I’ll happily add you. Cheers!

Whoa, dude, that thing is epic monstrous! It might even be bigger than Ahoy. I love it! I want! That's the most awesome of awesome things!!
Also, I just realized that we can upgrade the Paradise habitats. Finally! I like those habitats, but they're so tiny. Gonna need bigger habitats for all these gigantic dragons. Maybe I'll give Ahoy and Valeodon their own habitat and just let them stomp and rampage in there.

I visited a friend's park and got to see Spinky in action. DECA did a great job with that one, because although its design is supposed to be based on a pufferfish, it still looks very much like a dragon. It's also really, really, cute. Although I'm not sure giving it a hug is a good idea, because I just realized that its loaded with spines. Might have to put on some armor plated gloves in order to cuddle this one.

I have dragons in my gifts that I save for donations. My reward dragons have a donate button; the dragons from runic caves do not. Is this a glitch?
Rifted dragons can be pulled immediately and donated. If they are twins or ghostly dragons you have to pull to the nest to hatch first and then donate. You also can’t automatically clear runic cave choices or gifts from DECA. They also must be sent to the nest to either sell, keep or donate.

Has anyone upgraded a regular Paradise Habitat already? I'm wondering what's the cost to get from large to giant? I hope it's also 1,500. One giant costs 3,000 so to go from a regular to giant should be 3,000 too right?
I've got a vague memory at one of the previous events, it costs more to upgrade twice than to outright purchase a giant one. I don't remember which habitat was this.

Not sure why they chose to reduce all the awards but I see what they're doing. Throughout the age of sail (most of it, anyway) coinage was typically valued by weight, volume and type (silver, copper, etc.) "Making change" was a more literal affair than it is today. Typically one coin could be cut into as many as eight pieces. And pirates, among others, were often thus paid for services rendered in these fractional "pieces of eight." The new values for our winnings from chests, Ring of Dishonor challenges, watching tolzar & whatnot are all based on numbers that are divisible by eight now. So it's a pirate joke, I guess. Yar.

Given the admonition about putting a Zilla dragon anywhere near a Yeti dragon, I have to wonder if this also applies to Valeodon. I might throw Zilla, Valeodon, and Yeti together in an Omnitat for some sensitivity training.
The new splash screen shows blue tentacles on the verge of dragging the pirate ship down. Is there a kraken dragon in our future? Or maybe a giant squid? Does anyone remember the gigantic squid with a taste for submarines in Jules Verne’s ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’?
unknownlance I upgraded a Paradise habitat (kinda by mistake) & can report that unfortunately it costs 3000 to upgrade to a giant one. I really messed up there!

adlerist, I totally LOVE the new forum look and theme and all the different shades of blue! Having a new forum really makes the new event more exciting. I love how the water blends with the splash screen image as if these dragons really are on a deserted island. I also like how Earth (the globe) is just floating around in the water lol!
This event looks so good! All the designs are really cool! The paradise events are one of my faves, behind Halloween of course.
The Forum looks amazing adlerist . Very paradise-y. I love the different shades of blue. Baby Ikatako as the thread icon is perfect - what a way to celebrate his first birthday. 😊
