ATTENTION PARK VISITORS: as part of Park Expansion Programmes, all water habitats will be upgraded to Paradise Habitats of equivalent size. This change may also affect selected Light and Air Habitats, and will allow us to fit additional habitats and dragons into the park we know you love. During this time, you may encounter construction with both habitats and dragons in unexpected areas. If you have trouble locating anything, please refer to the Dragonarium.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope you have a magical day!
OH NO!!!! Is this “upgrade” going to be like local road construction projects where they set up barricades, close lanes, tear up a little bit of pavement, and then go away for months? BTW, what’s a Dragonarium?
We have consulted with a team of experts to ensure this process is as smooth and stress free as possible for visitors and our dragons. Affected habitats will be relocated to a less populated section of the park while we install a Paradise Habitat in its place to ensure the perfect fit. Once we are comfortable that access is clear, the dragons will be transported to their new home and the old habitat is disposed of. We do not anticipate road closures at this time. The Dragonarium is the in-park guide to all dragons in the park and can be located at the bottom of your screen or next to the CBC.

** REMINDER ** Visitors are reminded that carrying a flag, banner, or any outward mark of elemental affiliation while inside a DragonVale Park is, by law, strictly prohibited. Visitors found in violation of the law will be frisked for cash, gems, or other contraband, and then immediately ejected from the Park (no exceptions or refunds). Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day!
Dragonmum of House DragonVale, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Vale, Protector of the Seven Seas, Breaker of Twins, and Mother of Dragons, has done a spectacular thing!
Many, many cheers, Dragonmum! I was absolutely stunned when this beauty popped up! I’ve sent glamourous gems and fanciful treats to your festive park. Thank you!

Hello, I need to get a galactic dragon to be donated. I tried cloning Rigel in the Rift but did not have a successful breed after 7-8 attempts. I dunno of any special rules for Rigel in the Rift though. Can anyone confirm that it's possible to clone Rigel in the Rift with 2 of them? Thanks!

For a Galaxy dragon for the bingo board, it would be easier to try and breed Solis or Lunis in the rift. Either breed Solis with Sun or Lunis with Moon. That will fulfill the breeding requirement of Galaxy + Sun (or Moon). (Solis & Lunis cannot be cloned in the rift so you must meet the breeding requirements)
Or if your Galaxy EOM aren't too expensive, buy an EOM.
Rigel cannot be cloned. If you are breeding two together you may get a Rigel but it contributes every element to the breed and has very small breeding odds.
The other option is to breed Antarian in the co-op cave. It has the shortest breeding time and it is not too hard if you are breeding two of them together.

This is very clever. I'm not dancing, but I am tapping my toes. 😊
*** BREAKING NEWS *** For several days now we have been hearing reports of labor strife in one of the Vale’s parks, so we dispatched our crack investigative reporter, Soclu Les, to find out what’s going on. Soclu filed this report:
“After months of participating in successful and orderly Events, this park’s koalas have gone on strike demanding more work, lower wages, and harder working conditions. The park’s owner (a wizard who wishes to remain anonymous) stated that the koalas have been picketing a Paradise-themed island and all four of his dragon breeding caves.
The unnamed wizard further stated that a number of unprecedented disasters occurred on his Paradise Island after the koalas began their strike. First, while evaluating the Water Theme, a tsunami swept in and washed away the wizard’s Sand Castles. Next came an evaluation of the Sun Theme. This time, a solar flare erupted from the sun, torched the island, and transformed the inhabitants into Gamma dragons (all except the Exandrew, who seems to be impervious to radiation poisoning and intense electrical storms). The last theme evaluated, Summer, was an apparent success, but the wizard placed a Tiki Torch too close to the bungalows in the background, burning them both to the ground. Finally, all of the park’s breeding caves have malfunctioned because the dragons refuse to cross koala picket lines.
An attempt to obtain a statement from the koalas was unsuccessful because the koalas have not yet appointed a spokeskoala. I did observe two koala work-parties engaged in somewhat unusual activities. One group had dismantled a large wave machine and was hiding it in the Storage Tower at an undisclosed location. The other group was hard at work disguising a flame thrower as a patch of Lucky Lawn.
In spite of intense round-the-clock negotiations, both sides remain far apart and Bahamut has been called in to mediate the dispute. Park management is represented by a mildly sunburned Exandrew dragon who calls himself ‘Dr. Einstein’. The koalas have hired the infamous Guido, a very angry Malachite dragon.”
This ends our exclusive report from Soclu Les. We will update this story whenever there are new developments.

How do y'all balance out breeding for the limited dragon vs breeding for donation? The rift is the easiest/fastest way to breed for donation, but I do want that traited limited dragon.
PSA: Big News Regarding the Habitat Prices and Double Days!
It appears there’s a significant drop in price to all the habitats, except the giant Olympus and giant Treasure habitats. At the beginning of the Pirates in Paradise II event, Deca had inflated the price for these habitats to 300 gems. Based on much feedback from the DV communities, it’s now at 150 gems. It may not be as low as before, but the reduction in all the other habitats should compensate.
Once the changes are in the game and confirmed, I will list all the new habitat prices.
Thank you Deca Games for responding to the players’ feedback and for the four extra Double Days in this event. Many cheers!

How do y'all balance out breeding for the limited dragon vs breeding for donation? The rift is the easiest/fastest way to breed for donation, but I do want that traited limited dragon.
My strategy for the donation boards is to use twin or mystery eggs (from the Rift Market) that I have saved in my Gifts. If I do not have the dragon that the donation board is requesting, I breed it in the Vale (both parents are the target dragon). On Double Days, I use gems to speed up the incubation time, so I can complete all five boards. Essentially, I’m exchanging gems for Doubloons. On regular days, and also if a board is particularly difficult (has a lot of epics), I’ll take my time completing it.
In the past, I’ve used the Rift to complete boards, after I bred the traited limited in the Rift. But my priorities and focus have changed, and now I only use the Vale (and gems to speed things up). So the breeding location you select will depend on your goals in the game.
When I first receive a board, I click on each square to see how many gems it costs to purchase the square. Sometimes, the amount is less than the incubation time for the dragon, so I’ll just buy the square if I want to finish the board quickly. If I receive a Rift exclusive dragon, and I don’t want to waste my Rift breeds on it, I’ll buy the square.
My advice is to assess the board, and if it seems like you can complete it, try to finish it on a Double Day so you’ll receive twice as much event currency. There’s a significant bonus for completing a board, from 200-800 Doubloons on a Double Day (depending on its difficulty). So it is worth it to complete the board. I hope that helps, g’luck! 🐨

That is very nice of Deca to give us extra double days to compensate for the reduction in event currency. Thank you for listening to the player feedback Deca. 😊
It also makes sense for the habitats have a more standardised price structure. These habitat prices seem very reasonable and will be more affordable for newer players. 😊

They are some great tips adlerist. I forget about checking the dragon gem price - an Elemental dragon is usually only 10 gems to purchase, so for the longer elemental dragons it is well worth spending the gems.
I also have been breeding most of the dragons in the Vale using two of the same parents. I can't decide if my koalas are on holiday or working overtime. Two Mountain dragons are giving me Permafrosts and two Sand dragons keep resulting in Plains. I just want the basic dragon, nothing complicated.
I will sometimes use the Rift to breed a dragon - especially if it has a Metal element. I don't want to clog up my breeding caves with a Silver, Platinum or other Treasure dragon.
I'm wondering about my chances of breeding a Ghostly Lichen with my two, as requested on the Bingo card? I've never tried to breed them as I've always acquired them from buying Mystery Eggs.

If you have two Ghostly Lichens, your odds would be pretty good to breed another. I bred one first time trying for an ordinary Lichen, but tried three times to breed a Ghostly Moss using two of them before giving up. it can be hit and miss, but Lichen has a shortish fail time. It is worth trying. 😊 🐨

Actually if the board is requesting for an element, a sure bet option is to purchase the primary element dragon itself with cash from the market.

MinyaZ is suggesting that if the donation board is requesting the dark element, and you’d like to finish the board quickly, it’s better to purchase the dark square at 10 gems than to purchase the Dark dragon for DC and still need to use 11 gems to speed up Dark’s reduced incubation time (10.5 hours). If the player doesn’t have Gaia’s nest fully upgraded, then it’s cheaper to buy the element square for dark and light (10 gems) than to purchase the Dark dragon (13 hours to incubate) and Light dragon (10 hours) from the Market, then pay to speed up the incubation.
When the elements for dark, light, and metal show on a board, and the other dragons don’t cover those elements, I use a twin from my gifts that has a short breeding time. Wisp, Frostbite, Nectar, and Iron are great friends of the donation boards.

Complete List of New Habitat Prices
The new habitat prices are now in the game, so go forth and make your purchases! Remember, if you’re upgrading a habitat, the habitat price is the same as the upgrade, so these are also the new upgrade costs.
I included the original gem prices and the new gem prices so you can compare.
As you can see, the giant Olympus and giant Treasure habitats were the only ones that had a price rise. There’s a significant decrease in all the other habitats. This should be immensely beneficial for new players who have not acquired a stash of gems. I believe these changes are fair and absorb the inflation of the giant Olympus and Treasure habitats. Hopefully, all players will also agree. Thank you to the DV Team, including RecallDoro and VibeLily, for listening to the players and the Game Reps, and coming to this solution. And many thanks to all the players who spoke out and expressed their concerns.
The list of habitat prices is also available on DV Announcements so it does not become lost in this thread.

I use the Rift for the bingo boards but only after I get the new limited dragon in the Rift. The dragons on the boards with long breeding times, I breed in the Rift. I also use the breeding caves in the vale (for dragons with shorter breeding times) because they’re usually open. Players who need the other dragons in the event store won’t have these caves free so they’ll have to decided if it’s better to get doubloons or try for the dragons.
I agree with adlerist that double days is the best time to work on the boards.
