RATE A DRAGON

Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.

The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 2nd. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

Please take a minute to rate the Candy Bash IX dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Kage Dragon

1. 5/5 Different & clever animation.
2. 4/5 Having a trait really enhances it & could’ve done with a little more. Wish I’d been able to breed one in the rift.
3. 5/5 Big but carries it off.
4. 1/5 Fair price for the split second one becomes five but really, eye wateringly expensive.
5. 5/5 A perfectly creepy fit.
6. 5/5 Fabulous design. It is a bit blurry but that (maybe unintentionally) works with the whole smoky, shadowy, otherworldly effect. Like the chains too.
7. 1/5 Eldritch is practically impossible to breed in the rift. For a dragon that likes to play dress up, it’s weirdly shy about having a trait.
8. 5/5 Love it (apart from the price & breeding combo).

...one of the two massive issues i have with this dragon. this is prohibitively expensive to anyone who doesn't play eggy hatchy or doesn't save up for most of the event. if i never have to see a dragon with this cost again it'll be too soon. 1/5

pretty well! the lore of the dragon definitely ties into the whole "upside down" thing that's been created here. although, i do wonder if we'll learn more about the place outside of this event. i really hope we do! 5/5

6. Design details
i mean, it looks good in a vacuum, at least. not a big fan of how detailed it is, and especially not a fan of the way the baby form looks. they both heavily suffer from not really fitting in with a lot of older dragons, in my opinion. 2/5

the other of the two massive problems i have with this dragon. this breeding combo is utterly ridiculous, and without serious luck it's an incredibly difficult combo to not only get the dragons for, but successfully breed in the week it's available due to the low odds. 1/5

while i do like the dragon and especially the way it's animated, i can't in good faith give it any higher of a rating due to the sheer difficulty in obtaining it. 1/5

Comments / feedback for Deca: breeding combo is too hard for many players although I’m ok with a few dragons being hard for newbies to get. Design kind of murky and… brown, but overall a nice design.

1. Animation - 5 - great job with lots going on & lots of Kages appearing!

2. Rift trait - 5 - looks great w/the fire - glowing inside& all over

3. Size - 5 - large guy but fits well with other large ones in his habitat

5. How well does Kage fit the theme of the event - 5 - very well! Scary & spooky, big & black - great halloween dragon.

6. Design details - 4 - almost gave him a 5 because of his great spooky looks but took a point off because of the blurry body line. Looks alright with the floaty, misty stuff but i prefer them drawn sharp & clear. Love the multiple yellow eyes & the fact that it is a bit like a genie coming out of a bottle.

Comments / feedback for Deca - good halloween dragon; like his animation and spooky, black appearance, great yellow eyes. Don’t like the blurry, fuzzy body type as well as other body types.

Comments / feedback for Deca : Kage has some great animations, especially when it copies itself, although it does make it take up a lot of room. The rift trait is very understated and hard to see. It could do with more. Too expensive by about 1000 Candy. I’m disappointed that the yellow around the baby Kage’s eyes which is so easy to see is nearly impossible to see on the adult without a magnifying glass. The adult head is very detailed and very small. As has already been mentioned, he is very blurry. Awful breeding combo, Eldritch is almost impossible to breed and Wrath is an evolve dragon. And Eldritch is also needed in Brood (Gatren).

Animation: 4/5 When the dragon bounces around it seems to be a bit jittery.
Trait: 4/5 Great overall, though adding some to the wings could've been better
Size: Can't rate Kage's size since as I don't own the dragon, and trying to load into a friend's park causes the game to crash.
Price: 1/5 It was impossible for me to accumulate the 17,100 candy within the time that the dragon was available, so I can safely say that it is way too expensive. Your only bet is to breed this dragon if you want to get it, since you can't get that much candy in a week.
Theme: 5/5 Great fit!
Design: 5/5 Details are awesome, as usual.
Breeding Combo: 1/5 WRATH AND ELDRITCH?! That's the worst breeding combination I've ever seen! One dragon is an evolutionary dragon, and the other has absurdly low breeding odds. Put that together and you have a dragon that's near impossible to breed due to its parent combination.
Preference: 4/5 It's a great dragon. Says a lot that I prefer the adult form.
