Thank you so much for the Mesmer glow up, even the egg is an upgrade 😊. Rosy gems and sweet treats have been delivered to your Vale. Many cheers, MaDa!

Mesmerus is a star and looks even more starry with a trait!
If anyone is selecting a traited-twin Mesmer as the final event reward because you’re planning on evolving him into Mesmerus, but you’re not sure which trait to select, I have all 10 traits unlocked for Mesmerus. Visit my park’s Dragonarium and click through the traits on Mesmerus’ profile card to see the one you like best. If we’re not friends, my Friend ID is adlerist#5274. So as this event is nearing the end, I'd like to give my thoughts Firstly, the dragons (since I'm keeping this brief I'll say my opinions based on design): Lovonone, Glassia, Brutiful, Divi, Lovesick and Classical are great, Nomnoter is nice, and Mesmerus and Pricklefluff are alright Secondly: I was really not a fan of the execution, why was there a dragon week right in between? We just had a break, and that was the perfect time to have a dragon week. This event, I was already missing quite a few epics (mesmer, cupido, etc) and with dragon week arriving there were dragons that I needed (delirium, keyper and standstone). It didn't help that there were so many dragons that I had to target during that span I'll admit I was pretty tempted to quit the game, but that would mean I would really fall behind so I ultimately decided to stay, although I kinda gave up when glassia was released

Agreed. Even if it's important to have mini events both during and outside of main events, I'm not sure I'll ever understand why they haven't even tried swapping around the way it is currently, and having Dragons' Weeks outside of events and non-dragon-related events during.

Just to let you know, I did ask Deca to run Dragon’s Week during the break. They said that DW wouldn’t coincide with this break or every break. This is true, because there may be more DWs than breaks over the course of a year to cover all the dragons. But I felt that the event schedule did allow for DW to land during the most recent break, so it was a missed opportunity.
I believe Deca may have been concerned that DW might compete with the new Megatat and Colossal Islands. They didn’t say this outright, but I’ve noticed they don’t like to layer too many mini events, new features, or new content. I understand their concerns, but I don’t think players would’ve been overly engrossed with DW and not focus on the new islands or vice versa. In the same way that it can be challenging for players to see the developer’s perspective, it can also be difficult for developers to see every aspect of a game from the player’s perspective.
Dragon’s Week will coincide with events. There’s no getting around that if players want all the dragons to be released over a year — which we definitely know they want. In the same way that BEB frequently coincided with events, so will Dragon’s Week, and players can expect that. But I’ll do what I can to convince Deca to run DW during breaks when the event schedule permits, as they’ve done in the past.

That really stinks honestly. Having dragon weeks during events can really overwhelm players, especially if said event has difficult to obtain dragons, I hope deca can fix this, but yes I can admit that it's definitely more laid-back compared to BEB

That makes sense. It's not what a lot of people want but it's somewhat of a compromise between the overwhelming-ness of BEB and the need to have all dragons. Thank you. (So, never understanding didn't last very long 😉😂)

It will be interesting to see the final votes. From what I could see, at least 90% of the DV community was in love with Everfrost before Frostivale Yulebration even started, and while Greenge had more of a mixed reception, the general consensus (at least on the subreddit, less so here) was that however good its design may or may not have been, it was worse than the loading screen. The opinions on this event’s dragons have definitely been more varied.
Even if they don't win, I'm thinking Glassia and Lovonone will get quite a lot of votes (my current thinking is Lovonone more than Glassia). Other than that I honestly have no idea.

Unfortunately, there nothing to really fix. Due to the sheer number of dragons in the game, there has to be a lot of DWs to cover all of them. As a result, many of the DWs will need to run during events. Either that, or not all the dragons will be released, then players will complain about a dragon being unavailable for over a year.
EDIT: I suppose the fix could be with the events and providing higher breeding percentages for new dragons. I agree, this should be revisited, but I’m not sure how much Deca will allow, because this could cut into microtransactions.

This may not be lovely doubly related, but the Gargoyle Dragon, Flowerhop Dragon, and the Terradiem Dragon now have the plant element. In Gargoyle's case, it no longer has the water element.
This follows about 48H after I made a Reddit meme regarding odd element picks about the plant element, and which dragons looked like plant dragons but still didn't have the Plant element. The post has so far recieved over 300 upvotes, and coincedentally, all three of the dragons that were changed were listed on that post.
Did I seriously change the dragon elements of this trio single-handedly?
(After noticing this, I am moving all three of these dragons to the same plant habitat in which my Gatren Dragon is in).

Terradiem being made plant element is huge, it's always been one of my favourite dragons in the game so I'm really happy with the change

In all honesty, I came up with the idea for the meme when I attempted to move my Terradiem Dragon to a Plant habitat to make room in my Water habitats... only to remember that it couldn't go in there.
But now it can, and it's with my (rather illegal) Gatren Dragon.

It makes so much sense for Terradiem to have the plant element. Always seemed odd that it didn't.

The reason why Terradiem didn’t have the plant element is because it’s the Earth Day dragon. It was released to celebrate the occasion. Backflip probably wanted to keep it a three-element dragon so it’d be easier to breed, and they selected earth, water, and air because those elements represent Earth the most, without them plants wouldn’t exist. But they could’ve designed a dragon that wasn’t so green.

You only have FOUR DAYS to complete the Spiral of Singing. The event island, Eggy Hatchy, and Rose collection all conclude on Monday at 8.00 AM MST (daily reset). So get cracking on those eggs!
If you finish the Spiral of Singing, you will receive 70 Roses per level (an increase from 60 last week), plus a bonus 500 Roses for completing the tower — a total of 1,200 Roses!

I just realised this means I have to update my habitat planning... 😭
So can I check... - Gargoyle, Flowerhop and Terradiem are the only ones that got an element added (only plant for all of them) - Gargoyle lost onlywater, and no other dragons lost any elements Is that correct?
If it is, I need to sell a water habitat and re-organise about 3 islands... *siiiiiiggggggghhhhhhh*
