Today, the DragonVale Community Forum celebrates 11 years! On 6 April 2012, Poppy and Fletch launched the Forum. A lot has happened since then. Many administrators and moderators have carried the Forum and lovingly kept it running. But none of it would have been possible without all of you, the greatest DV players and members the world has known! It is your participation and enthusiasm that gives this place life and purpose.
We also had great losses over the years, most recently with the passing of Fletch. Our members may not have met Fletch in person, but he was a friend through DV and the Forum. After he passed away, his wonderful wife, Lesley, messaged me. She said on the morning of their 34th wedding anniversary, Fletch collapsed and they could not revive him. The devastation and loss for Lesley and her family is immeasurable.
I reached out to Deca Games and asked if they could memorise Fletch / Shane in the game he loved, by adding the names Shane and Lesley to DragonVale. Because while members miss Shane’s presence on the Forum, it is Lesley and her family who lost the person they love and cherish. When remembering Shane, it is equally as important to remember and support Lesley. She is an incredible person with an enormous heart. She was the one who introduced Shane to DV. She is the beginning of it all.
When Shane passed, Lovely Doubly was about to start, so it would’ve been difficult for Deca to change any content that was already set or released. Since the Forum’s anniversary was approaching in a couple months, I asked if they could add Shane and Lesley to the game during the spring event. Deca not only did this by including their names in the description of a new dragon, but they selected the dragon that will be released on the Forum’s anniversary!
May we always remember the wizard Shane and the witch Lesley. They were the first to enter the Vale!
To Lesley and the Fletcher family, the DV players and Forum members are thinking of you and wishing you all the best. When difficult times arise, I hope you can open DragonVale and this will be a reminder that we support you and send all our strength and love. If there’s anything we can do to make something a little easier, please let us know.

Wow. This is such an amazing tribute to Fletch. Thank you Deca for including Shane and Lesley in Bumi's description, it is so incredibly kind. And a huge thank you to adlerist for asking Deca.
The koalas (seem to have) returned from their mass migration during Somnig's availability, as I got Bumi on one on my first tries in a small park's RBC. I usually wait till the end of the event to claim, but I really like the dragon, so it's currently in that park's gifts, waiting to be hatched.
Still no sign of it in my main park, but I'm glad I won't have to buy it.

FYI, I think there is a listing error on the first page. I've spent a whole month trying to breed a flowerhop, around the clock, with no success. You show earth+air+light. When I just looked it up elsewhere I see they also include plant. The compendium shows no results if breeding without plant which matches my sad experience. However, I looked in another database I use and it also omits plant so now I'm really confused. Only sure thing is I wasted a month of breeding.

That'll be a mistake left over from before Flowerhop's typing and combo were changed to include plant.
I'm sorry that this meant you used a combo that couldn't result in it 😔 But it's got high odds, so now that you know, you will probably get it before the end of the event! 😊

I'm very sorry. That was my fault. Flowerhop had plant added to it shortly before the event started and I did not correct the data I was using.

I purchased a satchel of 7 runestones. With the 4 (permanent, double days only, tutorial, and gift) I have 11, so I will be activating a cave for the second time. Should I claim my dragon from that cave before I activate it a second time - or activare the cave and then claim dragon? Or does the order matter? 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨

It doesn't matter, since you only get one claim anyway. You'll be activating three caves a second time since you won't need a Runestone for the permanent/double day cave.
