I’m having a problem with my app not loading. I tap in, get the DECA loading screen for maybe a second or two, then it crashes. I’ve restarted my phone and have updated to the latest iOS but am still having the problem. I was able to get in yesterday morning just fine but sometime after noon this started. Any thoughts?

When this happens, it’s usually because your device doesn’t have enough memory/storage, or your park is too large for your device (not enough RAM or the processor is slow). Here are possible solutions:
1. Delete all videos, apps, and photos you’re not using. 2. If that doesn’t open the game, and your park is saved to Game Center or Google, or if you know your Park ID, delete the app, then reinstall. It takes longer to load DV after a fresh install. 3. If that doesn’t open the game, contact Deca and ask them to turn on Low Resolution Mode in your park (this may not work, but it’s worth a try). 4. Keep trying to open your game. The loading screen crash affected a Discord player recently who contacted me. They could not open their game all day, and then late at night, they finally received a pop-up asking them if they wanted to enable Low Resolution Mode. They immediately selected yes, and their game opened. For other players, after 10-50 attempts they finally got the game to load. 5. Once you’re in the game, if your park is not in Low Resolution Mode, enable it in the Options menu. You also may want to consider enabling Optimise Memory; however, this tends to cause lags in the game. Be sure to clear the eggs and items in your Gifts (they tend to accumulate and hog a lot of memory). And store animated decorations and hibernate any extra dragons.

Deleting and re installing after making sure I had plenty of room seems to have fixed things for now! Thank you!

The feature has some bugs. The hidden dragons are not showing in the results. In addition, the Galaxy dragons do not display in the co-op cave results.
The results are directly linked to the breeding hints. If the breeding hint is unlocked, the dragon will show in the results. To unlock a breeding hint, players must watch an ad/spend gems, or breed/obtain the dragon twice. Breeding the dragon in the Rift may not count, but it should count in the Vale. Also, purchasing the dragon counts. But the mystery eggs may not. So, perhaps you obtained Ignatus at least three times through the Rift?

On the evening of 17 September, a partial lunar eclipse will turn the moon an autumn red-brown colour when Earth's shadow descends upon the lunar surface. The moon will be a slightly larger-than-average 'supermoon'. The partial lunar eclipse will be visible from most of North America, all of South America, Europe, all but the easternmost parts of Africa, western portions of Asia and Russia, and parts of Antarctica.
If you’re in the US Eastern Time Zone, the eclipse will reach its darkest phase, with the moon most obscured by Earth's umbra, at approximately 10:44 p.m. EDT on 17 September. In Europe and Africa, the eclipse will occur during the early morning hours of 18 September, and in London, the peak of the eclipse will be visible around 3:45 a.m. BST on 18 September. Please note that the Umbral Sculpture was not released with the Lunar Eclipse dragon. I’ll ask if it’ll be released and its animation turned on.

Is there a place to report ads? The Selena Gomez sponsored 'free' Le Cruset cookware is a total scam.
You can report ads that don't work or are offensive on the Bugs, Glitches and their Fixes thread and adlerist will request Deca to ask to have them removed.
I am unsure about ads that are perceived to be a scam. For adlerist to report an ad she needs the name of the ad and the provider. There are full details and how to find the name of the provider on the first post in the Bugs, Glitches and their Fixes thread. Deca could then have a look at the ad and request the provider to pull it if they decide it is inappropriate.

Unfortunately, when some admins and moderators depart, they delete their third-party image account or delete the DV images they had posted on their account, so the pics no longer display on the Forum. As a result, some of our old threads don’t have images. 🙁 This is the case for the Treasure Hunt event thread. ☹️
There wasn’t a specific loading screen image for the Treasure Hunt, because Ts’aishen was released just before the event to tie into the Treasure Hunt's treasure theme. The loading screen image during the event was for Ts’aishen.

As a side note to the above - I used to post my screenshots via Flickr, which just recently started charging everyone so all the pictures on my free account have been deleted - would not be surprised if this was the case for a lot of the old pics

That’s a good point. It’s very true, many third-party image hosts fold and new ones crop up all the time. It’s an endless cycle. Trying to keep the How to Post Images thread in the Help Desk up to date is a chore. But Imgur has been around for a long time, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. The pics that no longer display from the Treasure Hunt thread were on Imgur. That’s the only reason why I mentioned it.

The update is in the App Store. It may not be available for all Android players. Some have it, others do not. Looks like it’s gradually rolling out.
The update includes internal optimisations for some processes on the backend. Nothing players will see in the game.

Deca has not said anything more than they’ll look into it. I don’t think it’s high on their priority list, and I don’t know when they’ll have time to develop it.
Earlier this year, I purged a ton of eggs. Started with the plant hybrids, like plant/fire, went through the Gifts menu and kept some of each hybrid and cleared the rest. Then moved on to plant/earth, plant/water, etc, until every hybrid combo was done. It took me a week, but I have an inordinate amount of eggs under Gifts.
I need to do it again, but I might try a slightly different strategy. Anyhow, that’s what I recommend to lighten the load. There was a noticeable difference in my game with a couple thousand eggs no longer weighing it down.
