Is Nox associated with the Halloween event and are Dartwing, Fireflight, Gryphus, Magnolia and Soriak associated with Om of Noms? Or are they typically released outside of events?
Nox is associated with Halloween.
As for the other dragons, I believe that Magnolia is the only one available during Om of Noms.
The others were available during Garden Noms last year, although besides that, they were only available during Dragon's Week. I am not sure if they will come back this year or not.

Nox is a Halloween dragon. It was introduced during Candy Bash VII. Dartwing, Fireflight, Gryphus, Magnolia, and Soriak were all added to Om of Noms last year out of desperation. Except for one Dragon's Week, they had not been released for years, so the Game Reps recommended them. Now that Dragon’s Week is in full swing, it’s not really necessary to have them in the event. The reps could request the removal of some, but Deca may want to keep them in the event. They’re currently not associated with another event, although Dartwing and Fireflight were initially released during The Great Dragon Faire.

It's especially disappointing considering that Dartwing is one of my favorite dragons.
But wait, I got an idea!
Why not add them to Camp DragonVale (Dartwing and Fireflight), as they are affiliated with the Houses?
I also feel like Soriak could be a part of this event (celebration event), as it wouldn't fit anywhere else. Gryphus wouldn't be a bad option for celebration events either. Unfortunately, it is too late to add a dragon during Summer things Magical so perhaps next year?

I've bought all the things suggested in dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/thread/1479/earn-gems-spend. Besides mini game plays and speeding up breeding, is there anything of note left? I'll be wishing for the gem cost islands if I ever want them, and don't need any gem cost habitats, and I don't plan on ever trying to get blue fire since once I get up to red fire I just want to play casually (besides getting the new releases).
Has anyone else gone to their Friends tab and discovered that Gems show as all have been given but Treats remain available to be gifted? This has happened to two of us so far and happened again today. Both of us have sent support requests to DECA after shutting everything down and restarting with no change seen. i managed to move things around for a screenshot showing the Friends tab with my fully gemmed Dragonsai Tree and Bush visible in the background. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
Peribee, I moved this post and replied to it on the Bugs and Glitches thread. Thank you for the great question!

Anyone know of a way to view your park on a PC? I play on a phone, and I don't have a tablet. I was just wondering if there was a way to view (not even play, though that would be awesome- just view) your park on a PC? I just want to see it larger. Don't know if it's possible, but if it was, you guys would be the ones that would know!
--- Also, I have some rift breeding questions. So I obviously need a a Blue Fire *with an air trait* and a Plasma *with a metal trait* to breed Zaffer. Does anyone know if it's beneficial to have the Rift Alignment set to air or metal, respectively to get those? Or does that not matter much? I guess I'm asking is that just a random thing you have to just keep breeding, or is there a way to get better odds to breed a dragon with a certain trait? Or if Rift Alignment doesn't matter, should the breeding pair for Blue Fire have a certain trait?

I'm pretty sure it is possible, but unfortunately most of the posts about it are on the subreddit so they won't be accessible for a day or two. From my very limited knowledge I think you might need to use a certain extension or device (or something like that) to be able to download the app on a PC.
It's not the same, but until someone with more knowledge explains if/how it's possible, if you want to view on a larger screen, you could take screenshots of the parts you particularly want to see and send them from your phone to your PC.

Although I'm not sure if anyone knows the odds for definite, experimentation has shown that there is a 25% chance for the offspring to have the trait of one parent, a 25% chance for it to be the trait of the other parent, a 25% chance for it to be the trait of the alignment and a 25% chance for the offspring to be untraited. This means that the more correct traits you have, the higher the chance the offspring will have that trait - e.g. if both parents you were using for Blue Fire had the air trait and the alignment was Air, there would be a 75% chance of the offspring being air trait - or, to simplify it, a 100% chance for traited offspring to have the air trait. (The only time when these odds don't apply is if you get a Rift-exclusive, since all Rift-exclusives only have one trait.) You will never breed a Blue Fire with air trait if there isn't air trait in the mix, i.e. if neither of the parents are air trait and the alignment is not set to air, air-trait Blue Fire will never be a result.
TL;DR the alignment doesn't matter a huge amount (effectively, it doesn't matter any more than the traits of the parents, as long as at least one trait/alignment is what you want the offspring to have).
However, Blue Fire and Plasma are both opposite element hybrids, which means it can be difficult to obtain them. It may be far more worth just changing the trait of a traited version of one of those dragons you already have to the correct trait. It will cost 10k etherium, but that may well end up being cheaper than breeding them - 10k etherium would only get you 11 breeds in a single day, so unless you were willing to spread out the breeding a lot, there is a high chance it would end up being cheaper to change the trait directly once you had a traited version of the correct dragon. Whichever method you use to take, check the Transfiguration Tower anyway. You might have already unlocked the correct trait, in which case you can change it for free.
(The Transfiguration Tower does of course require you to already have a traited version of the correct dragon, so if you don't yet have a traited Blue Fire/Plasma you will still need to breed them, but the info from the last paragraph was effectively to avoid you wasting lots of etherium unnecessarily.)

To play DragonVale on a PC, most players use BlueStacks. Here’s a link to their site.

DV version 4.28.2 is currently in the App Store. It has not reached the Play Store yet. So far, Deca hasn’t provided details about the update.

I don't see the dragonvale sub either. Weird. And all my saved posts are gone too. I thought it was going through today and that tomorrow would open? Or maybe they extended it?

Also, what happened to our chatterbox? It's gone.
Chatterbox has been temporarily removed according to the updates thread. I imagine it's probably to decide more clearly what its purpose is, since with threads like this and the chatting thread it's purpose was becoming less clear.
As for the subreddit, your posts aren't gone, it's just that you won't see anything from private subs until they're made public again.
It's still the 14th in some places so I imagine it will be down for a little longer.
I also still see the subreddit as being private. Like @metaphoricalrobin mentioned, maybe it'll take a while to update the status?
r/dragonvale was up when I posted this. But it went dark again (protest #2?). I asked Mayday, and she said it will be restored in the next hour or so.
