Efreet looks like Jafar from Aladdin. I remember he was turned into a genie towards the end of the movie. And with Djinni being mostly blue and Efreet being red with a black lamp, I can't help thinking these two are references to that movie.

Efreet's description makes the link very clear (the character mentioned is "Ala Din"). I kind of assumed Djinni was a reference too but never checked whether the wiki said anything about that. Edit: Djinni has "Ala Din" too.
When you breed one, its picture is missing too (at least in the rift). Then when it asks what you want to do with it, only about 1/3 is visible. Is this the part that misfortune contributed?
I reported both of these issues with screenshots. Deca is looking into it.
All of Efreet’s images have been fixed. And the the pop-up announcement is now in the game.

It was a fun-filled 77 days, but we're now down to the final 17 hours.
Be sure you breed or buy this lucky charm before he departs.

'You still have one final wish' reminded EFREET, who was hoovering above Veezir. 'Yes, I know', replied Veezir, 'But you trick those who receive your wishes, and they end in great misfortune. If someone asks for wealth, it brings unhappiness because everybody targets them. If someone wishes for happiness, they can never give sympathy or be empathetic. And if someone asks for peace in the Vale, all sound is removed. I want to wish for something that will help everyone — but not regret it.' Efreet nodded, 'I only give what is wished for, but yes, it often ends in misfortune because everybody wishes beyond their imagination'. Veezir closed his eyes and smiled, 'Perhaps we are not supposed to solve all the problems in an instant and skip the process. After all, that is how we learn'. He looked at Efreet, 'My final wish is that you will have a very nice day'. Efreet gleamed in utter delight.
Efreet brings wishful thinking to the co-op. Koala genie to all!

I confess I stopped reading the descriptions a long time ago. After you collect several hundred dragons, you just... stop reading each and every one. It's much more fun and interesting to read what adlerist writes when a new dragon is released. I love her entertaining mini stories.

I read them all - but remember few. 😉
I agree, adlerist writes some great mini stories to go with the new dragon releases. 😊

I do both! 😂 My game lags a lot when I feed dragons, and I always feed new hatches to level 11, so I just slowly read the description as I wait for the dragon to stop being fussy with their food.
That has occasionally led to me getting engrossed with descriptions and feeding Rift dragons to far more than level 11 😭 But a lot of the time it's worth it. (Luckily I never got traited versions of the day/night Paradise dragons, their descriptions are loooooooong!)

I will admit that, since I am the primary one to upload the information onto the DV Wiki, I have been the opposite. I used to not read them, but I have been for the last year or so due to my contributions on the Fandom page. I had to read all of Efreet's description yesterday so I could create its page.
Although I will have to admit, one of my favorite descriptions is for Frons. When its design was (unfortunately) changed due to copyright issues, it got an extra line at the end of its description saying "Oh, and it used to look quite different".
According to this post, upgrading a regular sized rainbow habitat to large costs more Spice than just buying a large variant directly from the event market. Is this a bug, and if so, can it be fixed?

Ney is the fastest twinner in the Sandara Desert and a top DV winner!
Thank you so very much, @ney! This is definitely an Efreet wish come true 🧞♂️. I have sent genie gems and tantalising treats to your Vale in great appreciation. Many cheers!

Efreet is being rather elusive in one of my parks. No matter which treats are being left out for them or the freshly brewed eucalyptus wine the koalas keep bypassing my park. 😉
The Party dragon on the other hand thinks this week is all about him and keeps gate-crashing.

The Party dragon thinks that every day is a party, and also feels like he has a natural invitation to all of them. As a result, he wants to appear for Efreet's release celebration, whether it was invited or not.

Desert Island locations of Ye Olde Buffet are now serving Quaa à la Din and your choice of organic muddy well water, Alayzem-dung tea, or peyote tea (extra charges apply). Dessert is 80 grit desert sand parfait (perfect for teeth whitening). mmMmMM
The mini-game, Dragon Drop, is crashing DV. Deca is looking into the issue. If there are any updates, we will let you know. Thank you, everybody!
