BEB Progress?

We don't know how long the Bring 'Em Back event will continue, so am wondering how everyone is coming along. Have you finished your list? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

Good question. I had to limit my list, because I needed pretty much everything. I decided on Solar Eclipse, Equinox, Solstice, Panlong, Paper, Blue Moon, Apocalypse, Firework, Terradiem, Bouquet, and of course the seasonal Mistletoe, Reindeer and Gift. So far I've gotten all but S. Eclipse and Bouquet. (OK, I gave in and bought Apoc - didn't want to miss out on it.) I've only gotten 2 or more of Firework and Terradiem, but I've also gotten a Silver and Gold treasure, a Moon, a couple Rainbow, a DR, a Silver Olympic, a Bone, 3 Leap Year, 3 Ghost, and 2 Motley. I also started and successfully completed summoning Kairos.

If I could get the other 2 from my original list and seconds of some, like Mistletoe, Apoc, Reindeer, Gift, Solstice and Equinox I'd be ecstatic, but I'm already happy with my first BEB. It's been quite successful.

Managed to get Paper x2, Terradiem x2, Bloom x1, Reindeer x2, Bouquet x1, Mistletoe x 2, Leap Year x20+ , Blue Moon x1, Solstice x1, Century x2, Motley x2, Celtic x1

Still chasing Pan Long and Apocalypse

Would like 1 more of Gift, Dark Rift, and Light Rift. The rest I should be able to pick up throughout the year.

I can't do the poll as I have two parks with very different statuses.
Big park: got 'em all already Except Winter. Still MIA
Little park: Needed 9 dragons (total not types) at the beginning. Still have 7 to go. Including &#$#@ Mistletoe and both Winters. Not breeding for winter yet in the little park. That can wait till after BEB if necessary, but have been breeding for mistletoe nonstop in one site which is probably what has slowed down acquisition of the others.

Last thing that I need is a second Mistletoe before it expires. This is definitely one of the toughest dragons for me to get!

I responded 1/2 way there, as I've been lucky enough to get 7 of my 14 goals so far.

2 Rose, a mistletoe and 4 gemstone display eggs, with 7 gemstone display eggs still on the list.

It's slower going with locked combos and 60hr max fails. Zen helps.

I was luckky to get my two mistletoes before the BEB and lucky too with Winter.
I didn't really need any other dragon because I filled the spaces (Leap Year) during the last BEB event.
So I decided to try for Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine and Diamond which are the last gem dragons I have only one and an egg of.
What shall I say ?
I got them all within three days !!! Don't know for what I deserve this.
Now I can proudly say : I have two dragons plus an egg of every possible type.

But among friends : I miss the times when I had the feeling to never be able to catch up on all the dragons.

I hope that everyone gets his goal dragons for the BEB.

I have voted thinking of my main park. You can see the dragons that I need below in my signature. I aimed at the limited dragons that would not be coming back (except for BEB events), and the Christmas dragons.

So far, only Panlong and Apocalypse have eluded me. I have not been actively targeting Apocalypse unless the combo was in another targeted breeding pair, as I intend to buy one. I will not have enough gems to get Panlong unless I buy them.

I need a second mistletoe, and have been able to pick up lots of second dragons and eggs, the best being Rose, one after the other.

I have been wildly successful in my little park, which is now level 37. Lots of epics, including Autumns, Winter, DR, Rainbows, LYDs, SEs, Celtics, a Silver, a Blue Moon. A good haul of raries; Bones, Ghosts, Reindeers, Gifts, Terradiems, Centuries, a Bloom, 2 Liberties, a Bearded, 2 Mistletoes, and 2 Papers. This will provide much needed DC as I level up the Colisseum dragons, and carry on feeding generally.

Still have a lot to get, though, including a second Cotton. But BEB has been good to me.

I just started playing not too long ago so I needed everything. What I've gotten is Mistletoe, Motley, and a bunch of others that, while not limited, are rare.

I now have one of every dragon and two of some of them. I am not going to keep a lot of duplicates. My next goal is to get all the dragons to level 16 that will go that high. I have a few of the new light dragons left at 15. Some dragons are already 17 and I have crowned a few for the coliseum.

I got rid of my eggs to make room for the light and dark dragons, so if we ever get a new island, I will redo that.

I have been lucky enough to get everything on my list that I was missing. Am still chasing a second Panlong and a couple of eggs but outside of that am extremely pleased and enjoyed BEB. Koala to all that still need to reach their goals.

BEB brought me my first Leap Year, Panlong, Paper, Reindeer, Apocalypse and Gift. I still need Mistletoe.

Once BEB ends I will still need to get Garnet and Winter. Once I have all the limited dragons I can work on the last Light dragons I haven't had time to get.

I am looking forward to the day when I have at least one of every dragon!

I will still need eggs and seconds for many dragons, but at least with one of each I have a chance at that during 2014.

My goal used to be two of every dragon plus egg, except gemstones. My goal for them was one plus egg. After hearing on this forum of multiple people accidentally selling a limited, I decided to up my number by one. I have been completing the limited goals as they came, but I was still missing quite a few dragons. When it took forever to get mistletoe, I knew I needed to rethink my list. I decided two of each epic was enough for now, and most of the gemstones were coming in the next few months. So, at the start, I needed one: light rift, dark rift, paper, celtic egg, zombie, opal, motley, solstice egg, equinox egg, clover, gift, ghost, bouquet, rose, terradiem, four mistletoe, and now winter. At this time, I have the following left on my list: solstice, equinox, 1 mistletoe, 3 winters, clover, bouquet, rose, and possibly light rift. (I have a rift on my island that I hope is a light rift.) Winter is not top priority, but I am in the contest, so I'm working on getting one. Clover, bouquet, and rose are also not priority. With the help of hundreds of gems, I have accomplished numerous goals, and am pleased with my progress. I hope to at least finish off my priority list before BeB ends.

I casted my vote for "Got everything", however I did not try for Apoc, and gave up on Panlong Before Jan 1, my take on breeding Panlong was que sera, sera.

Since yesterday...

Game changed. I am working on Garnet. W/ BeB event coincides w/ Jan's gemstone dragon, I figure it 's a little harder to breed Garnet. Basically, I dont want to llimit just one breeding site to Garnet.

Thanks for this topic! It's really interesting to me.

I chose halfway even though I still have a long wish list, because I'm 3/4 of the way to my top goal: to get one each of Paper, Panlong, Century, and Apocalypse. Second goal was to get a Leap Year and Blue Moon, and a second Paper & Panlong. I thought that if/once the previous goals were obtained, I'd enjoy working on the other limiteds that I never had a chance at. The list was too long, so gemstone dragons would certainly have to wait until their months.

Out of 149 breedings, 62 have resulted in limited dragons (including 14 unneeded Bones), and 13 of them were new to me.

I've tried for Panlong 92 times. 52 resulted in limited dragons, and 40 resulted in normal hybrids. Still no Panlong. I'm not giving up though it's tempting to switch the Cave to trying for anything else on this list: Bearded, Bloom, Butterfly, Celtic, Clover, Liberty, Love, Sakura, and Spring.

While sorting my list to get these numbers, I noticed something interesting to me: many more of the limited dragons were bred on the Island. Both the breeding areas are upgraded. I knew the EBI was supposed to give better odds, and of course I didn't breed exactly the same thing in both, but still.
71 attempts in the EBC: 19 resulted in limiteds, 52 were regular hybrids.
78 attempts on the EBI: 43 resulted in limiteds, 35 were regular hybrids.

I have two SE and one LE jamming up the nursery right now, and a Seaweed ready to hatch. Time to go hurry up the island (my first bred Gift dragon) so that fourth nursery spot can be used… Another Panlong try coming up soon.

Interesting to think about. Out of about 160 total tries so far, I've had 7 of my 8 successes in the EBC, all limiteds. That's a 5% success rate overall, which I guess corresponds to a blended average of 7% in the EBI and 3.5% in the EBC, as the sandbox suggests. Maybe the skewing toward the cave isn't statistically significant yet, though?

I mostly just had display eggs, and they were not great in number. The only one (besides mistletoe and winter) that I was really wanted to get was my second Celtic. But this time between new dragons has given me a chance to catch up on displays or missing epic dragons.
