BEB Progress?

BFS just doesn't "always" do anything, they like to keep us on our toes and not in the know. Just keep breeding until the limiteds have left the market. As long as they are showing, they are available to breed.

Thank you to everyone who wished me koala!

I got everything I wanted to get during the BEB event.

My Goal was:

2 Century
2 Gift (got 3)
1 Apocalypse
2 Paper
2 Reindeer (got 3)
1 Leap year (got 3)
2 Panlong
2 Mistletoe

Now I can try for some of the gemstones I am missing. (I started in July)

If I could I would change my response to "got most, still need a few." I have 10/14 goals accomplished, with April, March, February and January gemstone eggs left. And of course those months are happening again this year, so I'm pretty happy.

I too wish we would get some official word about how much time remains, to consider buying more gems. My original stash I budgeted for a 4 week event, and they're now gone.

If there was a "BeB ends in two days, here's a gem sale!" ad, I would consider buying more as well. Somehow I've gone through 1432 gems for hurrying breeding & hatching: all I'd saved in advance, all the ones I gained during the event, and more than half of the 440 I bought on Christmas during that sale. I wouldn't have made much progress on my goals without the gems.

I liked BeB… when I wasn't in the Panlong doldrums. I've enjoyed hearing about everyone else's progress, and trying to figure out which dragons to breed for in which location and in what order.

I hope it will be relaxing to go back to "normal" and not have SEs showing up all too often. I need to breed several of the light & dark hybrids and have several non-limited epics to try for as well as the limiteds that will come up through July.

Has anyone else found it difficult to breed a Firework dragon? I've been avoiding trying a simple Blazing + Smoke combo, since I'm also working for Panlong. It's a little ridiculous to me how both dragon-wise and egg-wise, the Firework is actually more expensive than the Panlong!

I've had a few as winter fails. The combo I have been using is air/paper precisely because I can get a few BEBs as well as winter for the comp.

I wish I were organized enough to have kept up with lists like many of you!
Overall this has been a lot of fun. I certainly have many new dragons from the event - a lot of Rare and Epics as opposed to Limited but I'm happy. Panlong still eludes me and it seems that I have more Leap Years than there are in a lifetime. It's interesting to compare my luck in my two parks. One kept popping out Blue Moons (4!) but no plain old ordinary Moon.
I didn't focus on gems; I'll be content to try for those as they return.

I focused on all gamestone dragons, and i got all of them. I still miss some limited, but i think now there is no chance of getting them all. Still i am satisfied with done work. Looking forward to next event.

BFS announced that BeB is ending TODAY. Remember though, if the dragon is in the market, then you can breed it. Just check the market!

I have just bought the following eggs:
Diamond. Been trying for this one for the entire event. No luck. Currently a 48 hour fail breeding
Amethyst.
Jade.
Amber
I have made a serious dent in my gem hoard.

Still need to get garnet, Jet and ouroboros to complete my collection, but they will all continue past BEB so no need to panic yet

Oh and 2x winter dragon and egg.

Because BeB will be gone, here are the limiteds I have gotten from it:

2 Blue Moon

Squishing in trying for Apoc, latest was a 20 hour fail I could not speed up.
So I think BeB is done for me. I have to start saving up again for EBI... I have 3 gems at the time of this post and 13 before I sped up those breedings.

So. Panlong and Apocalypse purchased. Second Mistletoe turned up in the knick of time. But have now got a crammed nursery with Rainbow, Terradiem, yet another Autumn and LYD. I may speed up tomorrow morning to use up my gems, or save them for extra habitats.

I will tot up the BEB list when I have time. koala for all you westerners still going strong.

Decided to speed up Hail and Sonic as the only thing I was missing from BEB was an Amethyst egg and it now is breeding on the island, I am giving this Koala back to Pixie as I believe her good blessings for all had a little to do with this and not making me wait until Feb. Here is my wish list from BEB and it is totally completed;

2 Apoc + Egg
2 LYD + Egg (plus countless extras)
2 Paper + Egg
2 Panlong + Egg
2 Reindeer + Egg (and extras)
2 Gift + Egg (and extras)
2 Rose + Egg (and 1 extra)
2 Love + Egg
1 Winter + Egg (working on second but not a priority at this time)
2 Mistletoe + Egg
1 Garnet + Egg (will work on second this month)
1 Amethyst (breeding on island and will be the egg-will work on second in Feb)

I would say BEB has been extremely good to me as I hope it was for everyone else. Now can't wait to see what the Wizards have in store for new dragons!

Hi guys, BEB has been pretty good to me as well I have 2 of everything I was missing the only ones I haven't gotten are the gemstones which I'm not too stressed about as I should pick them up normally over the next 3 months hopefully.

Just a quick question though. I am assuming that it is still possible to breed the limited dragons when they are gone as long as I have a pair... Is that still correct? I know it's not 100% like it used to be, but I can still work on my eggs in this way at my own pace can't I?

Yup, it is possible to breed limited dragons you have a pair of.


I decided to buy the pedestals of Panlong, Bearded, Jade, and Mistletoe. Diamond and Firework finally made appearances in my breeding habitats, so I saved myself some gems there.

Honestly, while I hope everyone's been able to get as much out of BEB as they can, I'm looking forward to the new Light and Dark hybrids!

Thanks Rion. Good to know I don't have to blow all my gems buying the eggs. I did give in and buy the Apocolypse as some of the fail times were rather frightening, also a few of the cheaper eggs.

The rest, which added up to quite a lot I am delighted to have managed to breed.
This BEB has been fun!

I think I will horde my gems now though in case it need them with the gemstones I have remaining

And i'm officially out. I was considering buying more gems, but landed two more platinum fails (for a total of 7 treasure egg fails so far) trying for diamond. If buying gems meant I could get a bunch more frantic 11th hour tries, I'd do it, but can't justify 80 gems just to clear the EBI and EBC, and then the nursery of 60 hour fails.

1 DR clogging the nursery was brutal. And it was my 1st! Good and Bad. I have only 2 spots at the moment.

I don't have a Plat yet, but really want one! Would be same effect as DR. Good and Bad.

I can't do anything on DV involving breeding until about 2 hours when my drags are done.

How much Plats did you have before the brutal ones?
