Well, I'm definitely finished with BEB. Park 1 has been bunged up with 20 hours + fails, and park 2 has had 6 Blizzards in a row. I'll keep my gems for gem dragon breeding and February's rush.
It has been hugely successful for me, especially in my smaller park where many of the ordinary hybrids were missing. My goals were to get at least one or seconds of every limited and epic dragon, and 2 of any or eggs would be a bonus.
Park 1 Breedings: 2nd Mistletoe, 2nd Gift, 2nd Reindeer, 2nd Rose, 2nd Terradiem, 2nd Motley, 2nd DR, 2nd Seasonal, 2nd Bloom, 2nd Ghost; 2 Papers, 15 LYDs, 2 Celtics, a Bronze, and lots of lesser hybrids. Eggs: 3 Reindeer, Gift, Cotton, Rose, Celtic, 5 Motley, Bouquet, Terradiem, Firework, Moon, Rainbow, LYD, Silver, Solstice, Blue Moon, 2 Autumns, SE, LE. Bought: Apocalypse, Panlong and egg.
Listing them all out has really made me appreciate how much luck I have received during this event. I only bred one Panlong the whole time, but the first couple of weeks were concentrated on Paper. Once Panlong had arrived in the smaller park, I could then concentrate on the February limiteds, and had a good run of breedings by focussing narrowly on those.
I restrained myself from buying too many eggs, to save myself some goals for the next year.

Kindle park1: nearly all dragons are frolicking in their habitats! (A Thorny little problem to resolve...)
Smartphone park2: Geode, a dragon with rocks in! Still to breed 4 dragons...

Well, I listed the ones I wanted by priority, then researched breeding combos to breed as many as possible within the pairs. So at the beginning, I could be breeding for 5 or 6 dragons. I persevered, changing pairs as the targets fell. Often I'd look at what other people were using in their parks to give me ideas. I left the locked or specific pairings for later on. I only sped up breedings close to bed times or before Kairos.
It seemed to work ok for me.
Edit: and it also helped that I work school hours and had the Xmas break too!

1 DR clogging the nursery was brutal. And it was my 1st! Good and Bad. I have only 2 spots at the moment.
I don't have a Plat yet, but really want one! Would be same effect as DR. Good and Bad.
I can't do anything on DV involving breeding until about 2 hours when my drags are done.
How much Plats did you have before the brutal ones?
3 plus a display egg before BEB started
I got 5 more, plus two silvers I also didn't need, trying for diamond. FWIW plats sell for 6 million dragon cash.
And speaking of cash, I had stopped crowning dragons during BEB because I was concentrating on breeding and hadn't decided who was next to crown. So as an unintended consequence of BEB, I joined the billionaires club about 10 minutes ago!!

All in all, im more than satisfied with done work. I got more limited dragons than i was expecting: Panlong, Apocalypse, Dark/Light Rift, Gift, Rose...
I succeeded in all my primary goals except one. I did not get the equinox egg I needed. However, it will come by again soon. My secondary goals were P5 dragons, and all of the ones I didn't complete will be coming around in the next four or five months I believe. So, except for one disappointment, it was a very successful event for me. If I hadn't been hoarding gems it would not have been very successful. Most dragons did not come easily, and I know I spent over 1,000 gems. Time to begin rebuilding my stash.

Ohhh...that is such a relief. Gratz! W/ two months left, you will get your Winter egg soon enough. I have not even started breeding Winter, having read other posts on how hard it's to get one. I am a little "gun shy" about breeding one, however need to get on it soon.
No need to be "gun shy", just hike up your holster belt and dive in! Koala to you! Have not been doing any BEB breeding, but have managed to get 2 Winter plus the egg since it came out. I found Mistletoe harder to get than Winter.

Winter wasn't too hard for me! I kept getting ghosts and LED, but not that BeB is over that shouldn't be a problem.
