BEB Progress?

Have not been doing any BEB breeding, but have managed to get 2 Winter plus the egg since it came out. I found Mistletoe harder to get than Winter.

Whoops, I aws faked out! Forgot that Blue Moon's time wasn't 48hrs. Looks like I'm back to Amethysts. Ah well.

Let's stay on the topic of amethysts.  I am a fan of the color purple, and least favorite is red. Have a purple hair brush, purple iPhone case, purple fingernail clipper, I carry them in my purse at all time.  As far as I can rembember, I always have purple hair brushes, just one of those little girly things that have stayed w/ me since.

I am happy eith this beb event. I got every dragon in my list which are raindeer, mistletoe, century, paper, panlong, leap year, and apocalypse (gem dragon can wait in their month). Even if this event end tomorrow, i have no regrets and happily go on with my regular DV cycles.

I know this isn't really BEB but I can't get a mistletoe or winter to save my life. Been doing lichen and tree for mistletoe and did air and mountain for awhile for winter then changed to air and glacier. I'd really like to work on amber gemstone since I missed it and it'll be awhile before it comes back IF they don't change out the quarterly ones. Anything I'm doing wrong here? Also this new forum the letters are soooo small on my iPhone. Makes it hard to see with my sight already going and I can't do the usual 2 finger Zoom. Boo to that!

Wait. 2 months on winter? So should I skip it for now? Now long on mistletoe? I just need one bc I got mad and bought one. Christmas present to myself I guess....but no kisses yet.....pixie? ;-)

IF you have to buy one, get panlong. Much better earner and saves you a habitat if you're unlike me and have more extra habitats than room for them. Just my 2million (inflation is hell)

Winter arrived December 21 and should be available until March 20, when Spring should return. We are assuming Mistletoe will leave at the end of the BEB, but there has been no official announcement yet, so it's only our guess and yes, you should concentrate on getting Mistletoe before Winter.

Purple is also one of my favorite colors! I've got purple hairbrushes, soap, and even a purple betta fish. I'm quite fond of the purple dragons, even dear old Crystal. And especailly Boquet! Amethyst is my birthstone so I'm always happy to get an Amethyst dragon. Though... I am not having luck. Hit a Moon last night. Darn.

I'm uncertain how to answer the poll, as I had 2 lists for BeB, primary goals and extended goals. I got all the dragons from my primary list (2 Panlong, 2 Paper, Apocalypse, Century, Leap Year) and am now working on everything else I missed (got Roses, Terradiems, Reindeer, Gift, Blue Moon, Ruby, Bloom, Seasonal, Motley, Celtic, just missing a few Gemstones as well as Sakura and Clover.) Technically, I'm still trying, but I have everything I hoped for.

I've thankfully gotten two of all the limited dragons that I was missing, but in trying to get the Garnet pedestal, four out of my last six eggs have been solar eclipses. I wish I could give them away to someone, because they are seriously clogging up my breeding opportunities.

Now that I have my first Panlong (on attempt number 144!), I've met my main BeB goal. Now I'm trying for some of the limiteds that will return during the year, beginning with Liberty & Bearded. The ones I have left are: Bearded, Bloom, Butterfly, Celtic, Clover, Liberty, Love, Sakura, and Spring. I had decided gemstone dragons will be the last thing I'd go for, so I haven't even looked at those. Since SE is a fail for Garnet, I'm waiting until after BeB ends to try for that!

It's nice to use some pairings with short fails! I too now have more Solar Eclipses than I really wanted, jdjmad. 9 on display and another 3 in the HC… on, and one more in the nursery.

koala to everyone still trying for Panlong or any of their other big goals!

The koala seems to have run out. I have 3 out of 4 breeding spots clogged with 38:24 fails that I don't want or need, destined to languish in the HC forevermore.

So that's me just about done for BEB. I don't want to waste gems speeding up.

Since there is not an official announcement that BeB will end this weekend, is it safe to assume that BeB will conclude next weekend? Wish I know so I can plan a little.

Based on the FB posts, I assume it will end some time on Monday.

The DragonVale update on Facebook seems to indicate that this might be the last weekend we have for BEB, but it is kinda vague. Just looked at the posts for last year's BEB event: their first BEB announcement included the original end date (Jan 2), but there was a last call announcement to say that the event was extended. I'm not sure if I want to risk assuming it ends next weekend though.

I'm still breeding for one egg pedestal each of Panlong, Mistletoe, Firework, Bearded, Jade, Diamond, Bloom, Sakura, Clover, Jet, Rose, Amethyst, and Garnet. I'm planning to stop at Diamond and just breed the rest over the next three months, when they're actually available. If I don't get any more luck, I'm considering just buying the pedestals and letting that be that. It's a big drop of gems, but I don't think I can wait to complete my pedestal collection.

Hoping BFS releases a whole bunch of Koala before the end of BEB!

I reassessed my needs in the big park. While I had all the limited dragons already. In fact pairs of them, I was missing five gemstone eggs. Now, near the end of the event I am only missing ... You guessed it... Five gemstone eggs. Being in the winter comp has meant I can only breed in one site. But I have bred continuously for diamond (the most expensive one) with absolutely no luck at all. As soon as we get official notification that the event is ending soon it looks like I will be spending 540 gems. If BFS don't bother with advance notification they will miss out on a sale.

Hooray! I got a cotton dragon. Really pleased as I had been wanting that one and this was last attempt with Leap year and Leap Year. Now moved on to mud and glacier targeting a century. Life is going to be dull when BEB finishes! Last year can anyone recall how much notice there was that it was finishing?

Not sure we will get a certain time limit, just the generic "last weekend to breed", which will probably be sometime Monday before noonish, Colorado time, depending on what time they finish their doughnuts.
