It's probably the decoration version of the Vernal Glass, just as we received a smaller decoration version of the Tines after the Light/Dark Magic event. Personally I didn't much care for the modified Tines; this looks like a much better modification to me.

Try crowning the dragons, and only those dragons, and use them for the Colosseum. I crowned a paper and a liberty which covers all elements but water, and for weeks now I've gotten gold every time.
I only use crowned and I used to get almost all gold, but now I seem to get 50/50 with silver.

That is very surprising with L20 dragons. Make sure you are using the correct elements. If that still yields a lot of silver, then you may need to crown 8 dragons. One for each element.

I got eggs by collecting coins and growing sarjan peppers (sp???) I got over a hundred eggs doing that, not sure why. I'd bought the last island and cleared it off so it was completely empty when this game started so I have been putting what I get there. I've been visiting friends but I don't get anything for that. What I want to know is if you only get so many eggs per day does it do you any good to check the game several times a day? I usually play the game in the morning where I collect all the coins and gift my gemstones to everyone then wait and play it the next morning. But I really want at least one of the dragons and possibly two.
BTW, I had an uncleared island sitting around so I started clearing obstacles as soon as the Egg Hunt downloaded. It does appear to be 2 eggs per obstacle regardless of size and it seems to cap at a measly 10 eggs
So if you're clearing an island, don't remove more than 5 obstacles a day!
They say this event will last a couple of weeks. I think I collected about 70 eggs, maybe a little more, but at this rate we will have no chance to gather 4000 eggs without buing eggs. With 80 eggs per day it will take over 7 weeks to finish and the event probably doesnt last that long. I have played tis game for a very long time, I have almost all dragons and I dont normally buy gems, I think it is quite disappointing.

Agreed, seems to be 10 Magic eggs from clearing.
I wasn't paying very close attention to the number of eggs from clearing, but I ended up with 135 points on main park (gold medal colosseum) and 130 points on secondary park (silver medal colosseum) for day 2. I cleared 10-20 more bushes and rocks with no additional eggs.

Mine were doing well getting golds for a long time, too, then started getting more silver. No where near 50%, but lots. Quit using Panlongs to cover more than one element and haven't had a silver in quite awhile.

Most likely you got to 100 quickly the first day because the game spotted us all 50 eggs to start us off. You will get 40 from growing food, 40 from sweeping habitats, 20 from visiting friends and up to 35 for a gold win in the colosseum.
It starts out getting easy eggs, then the successful taps fall off and are longer between. Yesterday I got 12 pretty easy habitat eggs before it slowed down. At the end of my playing was still missing 1 habitat, 1 food and 1 obstacle clearing. Played twice more times during the day before they all cleared. Just have the colosseum now to finish out the possible eggs before the reset.
Keeping track of your egg finds helps to know when it is time to quit hunting.

Right now 135 per day seems to be the limit, so you seem to be missing some. They have hinted there may be more ways, perhaps double egg weekends, but nothing solid has been said. They also now say "several weeks" in length. Most likely they will monitor how we are doing and adjust the timing as needed.
- collecting from habitats (DC or Gems, 2 eggs each, caps at 40) - collecting Treats (2 eggs each, caps at 40 eggs) - tapping party hats when visiting your friends (only one party hat of the three will have eggs. 4 eggs per hat, caps at 20 eggs. so you only need to visit 5 friends) - clearing natural obstacles on an island (2 eggs per obstacle?) - competing in the Colosseum (25 eggs for Gold, 20 Silver)
Yes, I know I'm a muppet, and yes I'm sure there will be some discount / double event... but I just had to speed things up a bit (and I like to use the reason that I'm supporting the onward development of the game )

Has anyone figured out whether the timer resets every 24 hours automatically or whether a new 24 period begins when it's eligible but you have to collect eggs to start it?
In other words, do we have to be vigilant not to permit down time, to get the most 24 periods and thus the most eggs
