I'm sure it's possible. By seeing what prizes you have in your park, the system should be able to determine your approximate progress from the previous year. They might not know down to each and every last egg though, unless they have some kind of hidden counter in place tracking it per account.
However, at at this point we don't even know if the event will return next year or not.
I would like to think they would do it again, since all the hard work is already done (art, programming, etc), but until BFS says so I think it's safer to assume this is a once in a life time deal...

With the eggs reset I watched more carefully and have maxed again at 40 eggs from treats, 40 eggs from habitats, 20 eggs from party hats, and 25 eggs from a Gold in the Colosseum. I don't have any obstacles to clear.
As this is only the 2nd event, I'm sure BFS will learn lessons from how this one is designed with regard to designing future events. I suspect that putting the island so far out of reach will not yield more real dollars than the light and dark event did.

I have updated and collecting eggs,but every time I try to collect eggs from friends parks the game crashes and closes down, very frustrating. (bfs) This could be due to a few reasons - if you are using an older device, it may not be handling your friends parks very well especially if your friends have a ton of dragons and decorations! Here's a question, why is it that everytime I try going into my friends list to collect gems or check news that my game doesn't open it but closes the whole game? Has done for 3 weeks now, not happy! (bfs) HI! We're just beginning to see this issue. I recommend visiting all your friends at once - so leave your park, go visit 3 or 5 or 10 friends and THEN go back to your park. If you visit and return to your park each time, we're seeing some players having problems here. Also another thing to try is to wait in the park you're visiting for 60 seconds or so. If you'd like, shoot us an email with your GC or FB ID and we'll get you those eggs
I play so much that after about 2 hours they are all gone. That's not far if I play more I should be able to get the prizes faster (bfs) It is an egg hunt! There is a limit to how many eggs you can collect each day - if you aren't collecting a lot you are likely coming close to the maximum.
Why doesn't the perch of kairos affect the event? (bfs) It will affect the event in that you can find eggs when collecting cash and food - so if you speed up time, that will speed up food and cash production!
Oh yea I tried visiting a friends island, but when I got back same # of eggs. Strange (bfs) We are just beginning to see this - read above for instructions and shoot us an email so we can get you those eggs!
I have a question pls. I just got this update today and collected 121 eggs. I traded in for the first item (don't recall what it was called) that cost 80 eggs according to the info yet my egg count went down to zero. Why was this? Thank you! (bfs) Great question! This is because the remainder of the eggs, so 41, were contributed toward the next reward. Hope that helps!
how long will the event last? And is it possible we will see weekend events where Magic was doubled like we did with the Light and Dark Event? Amazing work BTW! Ovalith is beautiful and one of my new favorite dragons (bfs) The event will last for a few weeks. Definitely continue to keep an eye out here and in game for Word from the Wizard as the end approaches! Same advice for Double Egg weekends - if they happen, check in here! Ovalith is pretty gorgeous, isn't it! Glad you're enjoying it!

Very pretty! Thank you for sharing, it's neat to see it. I'd love to have it myself--always need more space, darn it!--but I'm not going to let myself get too fussed if it does turn out to be impossible to achieve without spending real cash. BFS has gotten WAY more out of me than I ever should have spent over the years, and I'm not willing to fork over a bunch more for pixels nowadays.

Now I know that I really have to get this island. Getting frustrated by the small amount of eggs possible per day. But I will be patient for now and see if any changes happen or perhaps some special event or sale...

Thanks svrellia for the screenshot! The completionist in me is definitely going to try for the Lost Island, and will probably shell out some money for it if it came down to the wire. I think it'd make a nice egg pedestal display island, if there's actually enough space for one of each kind!
Now I'm wishing I'd saved up more DC so I might have a shot at getting the tenth island to clear some rocks and trees. I'm still saving up now, but it seems highly unlikely that I'll make it in time.

Glad to finally help with some info after all the good tips I have read here.
I hope to get it myself, but didn't think to use it as an egg island even though now that seems incredibly obvious. My egg island takes up all the space available to it though, so that probably wouldn't work for my setup. Too bad. For someone with no (or few) displays, like statues and such, maybe.

It doesn't seem to be the complete vernal glass, though, it seems to be missing the lower part, or maybe its somehow sunk underground. Curious...
