Edited to add : Jep, it's under Options, in the down right corner is a button emailSupport. If you go via this button, a mailbody with all the information BFS needs to identify your park is opening. You just have to describe your problem.

I have seen how gauged other people are, and I have looked myself. Through the mention of a new legendary dragon () I have also seen that it could be a 'treat' dragon because the egg which you receive as your first gift (big and purple) was used for treats.... I think this egg will be used as it's harnessing power, like the statue of Kronos! Exciting, exciting. One last note though. I hope it lasts 3 weeks. I do believe it will. Originally they used 2 weeks, but they changed to several because they might've realised that the longer we have the more likely we are to be close, and therefore desperate, to getting the island and so we will buy the remaining eggs because it seems within reach!

Your final comment is well thought out. I will not be spending 25 quid for the island, but if all it needs is a fiver, I will be tempted.

Wow you guys have done well. Today I have now got the pedestal, in one day getting 242 eggs! I'm still owed 24 eggs by DV, I feel cheated. If this happens thrice every resetting I will be very upset and ask for compensation! Finally I would like to say that I wasn't present for the magic event. From what I have heard it was rather boring grinding, but it sounds more fun to me than a cap, when you know you can't get any more magic eggs. DV have been cunning here. They have cleverly hidden their greediness. Firstly loads of people who haven't got all ten islands are desperate for the next one for more eggs through chopping down trees and rocks. How do we do this: DC. How do we get DC quickly? : gems. How do we get gems? : money. Simple as. Then they have the food magic eggs. Everyone gets impatient with this and speeds the food up with gems. Then they make the island, (more space) which everyone is desperate for, completely out of reach. Finally the cap is clever because once you've maxed out your eggs and your desperate for more there is only one more way to get them! BUY THEM WITH MONEY! I love the idea of the event, but I wish their were more ways to gain eggs. This is driving me crazy! Koala in all searches

They haven't given a specific end time, only that it will last "several" weeks. Am guessing there will be additional ways to gather eggs as we move through the event, or double egg weekends, or upping the number of eggs awarded for hunting.....something that will get us over the hump to earn the prizes. We just have to have patience as their plan unrolls.
Lets not forget that they increased the daily caps for magic during the Dark/Light event.
It would not surprise me if they did so for this event as well.
If they do I shall be heard all over the world elated with joy!

Glad I found this - I wasn't figuring this out. So far I got the decoration, the small gemstone habitat and the unhatched egg on a pedestal. I got eggs by collecting coins and growing sarjan peppers (sp???) I got over a hundred eggs doing that, not sure why. I'd bought the last island and cleared it off so it was completely empty when this game started so I have been putting what I get there. I've been visiting friends but I don't get anything for that. What I want to know is if you only get so many eggs per day does it do you any good to check the game several times a day? I usually play the game in the morning where I collect all the coins and gift my gemstones to everyone then wait and play it the next morning. But I really want at least one of the dragons and possibly two.
Most likely you got to 100 quickly the first day because the game spotted us all 50 eggs to start us off. You will get 40 from growing food, 40 from sweeping habitats, 20 from visiting friends and up to 35 for a gold win in the colosseum.
It starts out getting easy eggs, then the successful taps fall off and are longer between. Yesterday I got 12 pretty easy habitat eggs before it slowed down. At the end of my playing was still missing 1 habitat, 1 food and 1 obstacle clearing. Played twice more times during the day before they all cleared. Just have the colosseum now to finish out the possible eggs before the reset.
Keeping track of your egg finds helps to know when it is time to quit hunting.
My final thing to say is that it is only 25 for gold (I think) maxing out at 135 a day if you deforest and derock. Seeing as many of us can't deforest/derock I estimate 125 eggs a day and cap rises by the end of the event. My predictions: 3 week event. two double egg weekends huge cap rises towards the end of the event. Giant eggs for Easter Sunday!

How did you earn 242 eggs in one day ? Even with the 50 eggs from scratch the max would be 185.

Very simple. I started late. The 'wizards hid the eggs' yesterday at 8pm my time (GMT+0)(I'm British) and I didn't collect an til today. At the moment it's 9:20pm my time so it has reset again. I still am waiting for my food bonuses and colosseum bonuses! koala

Definitely. I'm tired and frustrated. I missed a week of breeding, meaning I missed chances for diamond, Sakura, lunar eclipse and bloom. Waiting til BEB for Sakura and frantically breeding for the rest! I also missed out on two days (I think) of the egg hunts!

Hi all, I haven't been able to get into my 'Vale very often because of technical difficulties. I have been without smartphone for a few weeks although hopefully my replacement arrives this week, and my tablet screen is broken... that being said I can plug the hdmi connection into the TV and use it when the tiny human who runs my life lets me, it's a matter of swiping somewhat blindly while looking up at the TV, only then I can check in on my dragons.
so I have just now learned of this Egg Hunt, and it seems my park hasn't updated to this event. My DragonVale icon is still st. Paddy's day, and definitely no Egg Island in my park. My big question is any idea how long this event runs? Most likely till at least Easter? Another question is this kind of typically for Andriod players to not have automatically updated? Thanks!

They are saying "several weeks", so definitely after Easter. We are hoping for some extra egg events, such as double egg weekends, or lifting of limits - something that will help us make up those extra eggs needed to get the Lost Island. When that happens, you will most likely be able to make up those eggs you lost while having technical issues.
Must be quite an adventure to work on your park while blind. Not much help when it comes to Android, but thought I remembered something about Android not automatically updating. The Android folks will be along shortly to give you a more concrete answer.

go along to the play store and the update should be there. if not, then uninstall and reinstall and you should update. Good x luck with that! Please tell us how you get on.

On my first day, I got 107 eggs, 27 more than needed for the first goal - but, when you "turn them in", the extras don't seem to be saved or applied to the next goal or anything. Is that correct? or am I missing something? Feels kind of like I was cheated!

If you look carefully, you will see a bar under your next goal. The extras are credited there and go to the next goal. Each time you complete a goal, the bar moves to the next goal and will fill with any available eggs. You should see a tiny amount of colour in your bar to reflect the credit you have already applied.

Sorry to all in advance but can't keep my thoughts about this event silent any longer
Patience people we are only a couple days into the event.
What I don't get is why people feel entitled to anything for free? Personally I think it's great they give us this game and you can make your choice as to spending money or just playing (personally I like to support games that I enjoy, however that's just me as I have a friend who has every dragon, is level 50 and won't contribute a nickel- so each to their own)
I like the idea that they do gift us occasionally but I don't take it for granted, I just enjoy the challenge (except bushes), or if the completions part of me kicks in then I purchase it.
Sorry again, just had to get that out of my brain from all the venting I keep reading
