I have signed up for my first 'last chance' comp, and the instructions include 'configure your email to receive pm's' I have no idea how to do that, so I have copied and pasted the proboards DV address into my address book, and done the same with the competition thread address ...will either of those work? Or do I need to do something else? Am not v techy. Cheers!

The only thing I know is that it's ridiculous to have all those pedestals looking exactly the same. I refuse to have them on my Eggland. Protest! ☺️
Agreed! The only way I know to tell them apart after you have them is to put them on separate islands and then ask the Dragonarium to Find them! I hope BFS does not get so lazy again!

Monoliths are a bit funny, but I thought the idea behind the Snowflake eggs was funny. No two the same and all that.
I'm also probably the only one who is upset that Scorch and Firefly don't still have the same egg.

Hi folks, I seem to have reached the point in my young L35 park where my dcash, food and number and level of dragons are very finely balanced: in events and challenges I now need higher level dragons to win top dollar...but can't afford to feed a wide range of dragons ( to cover all element composition) up to high levels. So, I' m guessing now is the time to only feed up those dragons with multiple elements in their composition: Is there a list somewhere of those dragons? I suspect the only one I have might be Faire, so I will have to shift my breeding focus to multi-element dragons... Many thanks

Multi element (>2) dragons are all limited. If you have Faire that's a great start. That covers lightning, cold metal and plant. So maybe add scorch (fa), lotus (lw) , root (de). As you get higher earning dragons you can replace these with better ones but at least you will have all the bases covered. Also consider the new dragons. One of them may be an excellent addition.

Oh cool, I have all of those, at around L11 only for most I think. Bought Sprite?spooky? Ummm, dearie me too late at nite for brain function, the one with long flowing limbs and wings, will check to see its composition elements. Edit: Spectre.
Thanks GD: your reply also seems to suggest that not only level but also earning capacity may play a part in scores/prizes? Lotsa subtleties in this game
edit2: how does Faire, tidal, spectre and ember look as a list? and is repeating a previous winner a risk in anything other than colosseum? ( where I know it is) cheers!

I don't see the need for spectre. You have covered it's elements with tidal/Faire. So you can cover all events with just three dragons.
I have never noticed a problem repeating a dragon in the colosseum. I use the same dragons over and over again and almost always win gold. FYI I use paper(plant, fire, cold, earth), Panlong(air), light rift(light), current(water, lightning), kite ( metal) , Darkling ( dark). I used to use LR for dark as well, but Darkling earns more.
The DC component of the prize is the earning capacity of the dragon in 24 hours for gold, 12 hours for silver and presumably 6 hours for bronze. So you win more DC with higher earning dragons. Of course if you are pedantic you need to subtract what it would earn in the habitat in the same time. This is usually much less unless you clear your habitats often. Also the XP earnings are 10% of the level requirement for gold and 5% for silver. So 10 consecutive gold wins will move you up a level even if you do nothing else in your park in those 10 days.
EDIT: I just realised you are missing Air!

Butterfly, Terradiem, Rose, Kite, Halo, Hypnotic, in descending earnings.
note: I was just reading Page 1 of this thread, written in 2012. It should be edited because it says you cannot buy cleared Obstacles (rocks, bushes) on the Market so you might want to keep some and decorate around them. I remember doing this! And how happy I was to finally get our shrubberies! And, completist-style, displaying one of every size of Rock (still do)!

I edited the post and added a note about earning event currency for clearing obstacles.
Thanks for pointing this out, not only does this make the OP more accurate, but it means I get to contribute to a post which was posted before I was here!

Seeking info,in order to plan landscaping my park; 12 islands plus lost island in total? 12 'elements' in total? Earth, fire, water, air, plant, cold, lightning, dark, light, rainbow, sun moon, ah and metal, treasure, ... 12 themes for islands ? Or more due to events, such as winter wonderland? And spooky, treasure, 12 habitats or more??? Arrghh so confusing: happy to be directed to a list if there is one somewhere, I find dragon wiki hard to navigate due to all the screen clutter... Thankyou!

Sorry to upset you but... Thirteen islands so far plus lost Lots more elements than that. You missed treasure, gem, crystalline, apocalypse, galactic, monolith, dream, snowflake, Olympus and seasonal. As well as whatever takes thir fancy next. Galactic have their own separate habitats so they don't come into the decor equation, but you can have gems on your islands. You are not limited to the gemstone island. Seventeen themes so far, including "none". And you can have up to 14 instances of any one theme. Makes me think another island is coming up soon as you cannot apply a theme to the lost island. There is a habitat for each element plus a few. Omnitat, celestial and spooky come to mind. There are probably more I can't think of right now.
