For 22 April, your Coral Dragon, I would suggest the following date:
April 22, 1970. It was the first year that Earth Day was celebrated internationally. I know this because I am a kind of an eco-geek. I thought it would be kind of neat because coral (the marine animal) is one of the leading indicators of a healthy sea and healthy planet today. Coral is one of the first things marine biologists look at to determine the health of tropical reefs and the oceans that house these reefs.

So does 1970Eco or 1970Green sound good?
It does. Thanks for the suggestion. And welcome back. I've only just returned myself after quite a few months off.
I had another thought. Being something of a space nut, I looked up critical dates in the construction of ISS - international Space Station.
7th February 2001 - On this day, Destiny left Earth and headed into space. (I'm not joking here...) Destiny is the primary lab module of ISS, and is still used today for research in outer space. On this day in 2001, Destiny was launched from Earth, bound for ISS. She was docked to ISS five days later.
I thought it was soo perfect... because the dragon you've got listed for that day is Love.
I'm wondering if we could name the July gemstone dragon after Canada? The July 1 (Canada Day) dragon is wisp, which isn't very Canadian. But Ruby is red, which is much more Canadian.
Canada was founded in 1867, on July 1.
So, for Ruby, perhaps 1867Canuck?
I'm hoping the Americans won't mind that Canada gets the July gemstone dragon. Y'all have the Firework dragon, delivered specifically for July 4, after all.
You guys might be relieved to know that I search the origins and history of Poutine and could not find a date for its delicious creation. So we can't easily name a dragon after Poutine...

I know you're all disappointing.
No? Somehow I recall May 4, wish I know the year though...maybe 33, 34 years ago?

Love... Destiny? Perfect, I dare say.
2001Desti or 01Destiny?
Neat!
The things that are being experiment is zero gravity one day will change our way of life, fascinating stuffs, are they not?
I am not a space nut or anything, but since we are about 4 1/2 hr drive to Space Center Houston we have visited the place often. Each time I found my way to where moon rock is displayed, and touch it!

We may be disappointed but I don't believe we are disappointing!

Yes, ever so fascinating! ISS is really helping to push forward our understanding of science! I was in high school when Zarya, the very first component of ISS, was launched. I watched the launch on TV. I cried when I realized I couldn't suggest Zarya for Fletch - that launch was in November. Grumble. I settled on Destiny, because, yeah. Love Dragon on Feb 7? That is so Destiny. Pun intended.
I had not seen that video before, it was awesome.
Wow! You touched the Moon Rock? Awesome! I'm quite a ways from Houston, so never had a chance to go visit. Closest I ever got to anything spacey was the TV. And an embarrassingly large collection of Star Trek: Next Generation videos at one point.
The closest I've gotten to space is a) visiting the space camp facility in Huntsville, AL and b) seeing the launches of the supply rockets off the Eastern Shore of VA... From 100 miles away.

You are not the only one. I, too, was one faithful Star Trek TNG's fans.
Tribbles had been mentioned as well, but you may have to look that one up!
That's the trouble with them you know.

27th June. My birthday. Also the day Tove Jansson died. The creator of The Moomins. Whom, I adore, (hence MoominJules!) I never knew this until quite recently when reading about her, & I've been MoominJules online for many years.

I am not familiar with the author (??) or the character. Care to fill us in?

This. Love to know more.
Whaaat? You've never even heard of the Moomins? Children's book series about an adorable family of creatures called the Moomins. Big, white, cuddly, looked a but like hippos on their hind legs?from what I can remember, a little bit like the smurfs in the kinds of stories told about them, but I'm sure MoominJules can add more detail.
