Hi, Fletch_smf, I was curious in which order you would queue the Galaxy Dragons. I see that you have ordered them alphabetically. I was thinking about it and will order my eggs due to the element the Galaxies give in the breeding. But the way you have ordered them, my Birthday Dragon will be the Arcturian, and that is the dragon I was first given with the update
Interesting. So lowest elements first or highest elements last?

So my birthday is March 28th, which is the Solar Eclipse. Since the first major discovery using an eclipse was made in 1919 (provided evidence for Einstein's theory of general relativity), how about naming it 19Corona? I like Corona since that's the part of the sun you see at totality.

If you've got the date of that discovery, I can name that dragon in that way. The important part of the ordering system is the date the dragon represents. Confusing, I know.

The great Arthur C Clarke died March 19th 2008.... I can't help but feel that maybe the monoliths were released Mar 12 through April 7th to honor his passing. His 2001 space odyssey "series", including the other 3 books, contains 4 main monoliths. TMA-0 TMA-1 TMA-2 and the monolith found on Europa, nicknamed "The Great Wall" but Europa would do. It does not exactly follow convention but when has that stopped us in this community?
For those not as familiar with his works as one of the big 3 in science fiction, the space odyssey series is about how the monoliths kick start our evolution and then accelerate our move into space exploration. One could even draw a thought that the monoliths heralded the coming of the galaxy dragons a month later....

technofanatic, Good thought. But I cannot think who the other two would be. Too many to choose from. Philip, Kurt, Brian, Robert, Isaac, Ben, Greg, Douglas, Edward, Edgar, Herbert, Jules, Fred, Frank, Ray, Ursula, Anne, Piers, James, John, Colin, John again, Philip again, James... the list goes on and on.

My Ruin adult is now named 19Corona. A gem will be on it's way.

Never. But it is now. When's his birthday? I could name that dragon after him … unless he was born in the later half of the year? Or I could do his death day? Or the publication date of 2001 or one of his other books?

Heinlein and Asimov
I thought you might pick them. They just seem to go with Arthur Clark. As an off the cuff answer I would be inclined to pick them too. I certainly have all three in my library. However if I give it some thought, I am more inclined to go with Herbert (George Wells) and John (W. Campbell) The first for setting the tone of SF for the following century and the second for his championing of authors such as the above via Astounding and later, Analog. But I don't know how I would go past some of the others too. See how many you can get from their first names

They are the big three... I did not coin the phrase... It is a literary fact..... Google never lies!!!! But I will attempt to take up the gauntlet u have thrown down on the author names. Let's find a more suitable thread...
