Sure, but in the spirit of "choosing our own prizes" I would have much preferred they leave the 1000 tickets in my account to choose a theme or something else that I want and can use!
Yeah, I get that, but they still gave us 150 bonus tickets at the end of the tutorial too
They have never, in my recollection, been quite that generous with a tutorial...
Lol, you're so even-keeled! Now I have to figure out what to do with my torch and pitchfork...

Dear BFS: why, oh why would you force me to spend a thousand tickets on a theme I already have and don't want any more of?
Maybe think of it as them giving you a free island theme for completing a tutorial...

Prediction: since they are allowing us to pick our prizes in our own order, it will be difficult if not impossible to get all prizes without spending money.

I'm using the dusk option. The fireflies option icon reminded me of the dusk sky. And I think the music for the dusk background has changed, hasn't it? Some kind of medieval music?
Yup! Dusk sounds like a Renaissance fair, or a Celtic/Highlander thing. On another hand, I'm not getting fireflies. Where's the option?
Wah! Too late! I send gems this morning! Oh, well...
And my router picks this time to go "blink"... hope it holds up till I get another delivered.
Agggh! I had intended not to send gems last night but automatically returned yours when I saw it! I am a creature of reflex and not reason!

Play "Name that Dragon". Guess I better start boning up on all the dragons I no longer recognize by sight! Since it's a "faire" they could conceivably release other types of games as it progresses, e.g. here's a breeding pair of dragons, you have 10 seconds to select a possible result from a list of four or five...

This fills me with dread. I've played events in other games that had unique event items tied to a prize wheel and it was quite possible to finish the event without getting all the prize items... Sincerely hope that's not the case here.

Hey, look! 16 hours in the CBC... Could this be my missing Procyon?!?
Unfortunately my side of the pairing is my Andromedan so it could easily go that way as well... THE ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME! (but it's not killing me enough to spend 16 gems with an event pending...)

In order to considerably confuse me, rulilind , vonfirmath and Skitch changed their avatars! Be careful to avoid confusing yourself after this wicked trick!
My deepestest and most sincerestest apologies, but I simply had no choice. After invoking the "I'll change my dragon if I get an Elysium" whine I was contractually obligated to follow through once the dragon actually appeared in my park!
Respect the whine!

Is that the tail of a dragon that I see on the left in front of the box. If so, it looks like it is a chameleon dragon, in that it changes colors depending on the background. The shape is the backside of a dragon, and I can't imagine what else it would be...then again, it is Friday at the end of a long week after a busy and tiring 7 weeks of summer. (They've been good weeks, just busy and tiring.)
Good eye! I thought that was just a line of banners (what they intended me to think obviously) but that's almost certainly a dragon outline!

Whew! Finally got an Andromedan, now hopefully I can wrangle a Procyon before the event starts! I just noticed the breeding times post doesn't have the new times (paging Fletch_smf !), anybody know the time for Procyon?

To Skitch and my other gem friends who are or aren't on this forum and may or may not see this: I'm sorry for having been so inactive lately, but I'm trying to get back to consistent gifting. Unfortunately I will most likely not have any internet all all for the next two weeks, so if I just abruptly stop sending gifts there is no reason to try to send anything back, as I won't respond for fourteen days. Probably.
Thanks for the heads up! Let's hope they don't choose now to start another event!

...immediately followed by a feeling of dread that George might expand the book count (and associated release dates!) yet again!
It hasn't ended yet? Am reading book one!
Oh what a ride you're in for! If you aren't also watching the HBO series I recommend that you stay away from it to get the full effect of the twisty plotting (although the later seasons of the show have departed significantly from the books). GRRM is a brilliant writer but apparently terrible at keeping to schedule!

Arrrrgh! A mere 3 hours away from hatching my first Halo and achieving sparklitude (sparklosity? sparklehood? sparklitis?). BFS clearly does not want me to sparkle.

As we all instantly knew when the CBC was introduced, the Nursery has become the critical path. Haven't had an empty spot for weeks. I'm hoping BFS introduces something new and interesting to address the problem. Not just 2 or 4 more hatching spots, but a whole new mechanism... Their recent cleverness with new features has reinvigorated the game, this seems like a useful place to focus their creativity...

This coop thingy you've come up with is a great thing, but now I'm positively swimming in new friends! I'm up to my EARS in friends. Friends as far as the eye can see (or the finger can scroll)! You know what would be fantastic? A way that I could tag my most specialest friends so I don't have to carry that heavy tray of gems and food all around the bar trying to find where they're sitting tonight. Something like... I dunno, a favorites tab or something... Now wouldn't THAT be something!
Love, Skitch
Well, I don't know if you do this, but when I go to collect gifts, I don't hit the clear button. This helps me to know who all gift me gems and food so I know who exactly to gift back. Right now my list has 22 DV friends. I usually mix things up everyday so I don't neglect to send others a gift. I do like your idea of another gifting tree. Weather or not backflip does that remains to be seen, but one never knows.
Sure, I do that too! But the "correct" way to use that feature (I recognize that everybody can and should use it however it works best for them, but the way it was designed indicates BFS had a particular User eXperience model in mind) is to clear the gift when you only send one, and not clear the gift when you both send and collect or when you only collect. That way you can easily keep track of both your payables and receivables while monitoring which friends are high activity and which are low activity.
What I'm looking for in a favorites feature would let me maintain a static list of those players with whom I interact regularly by trading gifts or by visiting their parks.
