Ugh. I too upgraded to iOS8 right away (though in my case as I develop mobile software I really had no choice). I cannot open the Social menu due to the "player photo" issue. I have added a photo to my own photo-less GameCenter account, but as Rion noted this doesn't solve the issue. I urge everybody else to add photos as well if they don't have them.
In the meantime, I can play normally on my iPad except for the Social menu and luckily I still have an old iPhone running iOS7 which allows me to continue gem trading. Hopefully Apple and/or Backflip will address this issue quickly.

Back again. Stupid RL.... Did I win ? I knew I was having trouble, and have just gotten a 29 hour dragon. People already have 8? I feel so unlucky....
That would explain all the gems that keep showing up. I was desperately trying to understand how I would reciprocate to everyone. My Game Center is having trouble so I am having trouble accepting friend requests. I will try again. I also have seem to somehow lost the third anniversary gift in a untimely crash. What was it? I can't believe after all these competitions I am near the end.
Edit: My i-phone is so messed up... Game center seems to come up with a 'connection' issue when I try to accept friends out and it makes me log in about three times a day. Anyway, I went to my macbook and learned I can log into game center from there. I have accepted the outstanding friend requests, sorry to be a hold up.
I do have a 29 hour dragon breeding, so I guess I came in third. Love, Arctic. I added another double rainbow as well.
Gone I guess are the days when I would get dragons quickly, I missed leaf entirely and have only managed 1 geode.

I have just paid rion and rachels and updated my payment table.
I'd love to pay elehcim and loaftx as well. I have sent FRs but there doesn't seem to be a way to track requests in GameCenter (that I'm aware of). Please let me know if I need to re-send or else send an FR to me.

Time to get serious. I've lowered the volume to create soft music and used the Twilight Tower to dim the lights, Very romantic. Dragon husbandry can be a tricky thing.
In the meantime, my original Lava/Hail pair and the newly dating Mountain/Scorch pair have yielded two Fireflies, a Storm, and what appear to be another Firefly/Scorch and an Arctic.

Arrrgghh! I have just discovered that I forgot to purchase Sun Kissed Sands! Presumably I'll have another opportunity to get it during the next BEB, but it reminds me of an ongoing irritation for completists like me: how to be certain you've got everything you can get? The Dragonarium was a nice addition for tracking your dragons (though it would sure be nice if they had ALL info in there, like eggs and such), but I need a good way to track decorations.
Is anybody aware of a good checklist somewhere? The various wikis don't seem to list them in a convenient way for this particular purpose. An actual online checklist or complete downloadable spreadsheet would be best. Any suggestions?

I see you have checked off rachels' gcid in your table, implying that you have indeed sent the FRs, but I haven't received one yet (even with a reboot, which generally kicks GameCenter in the fanny).
Strike that, FRs finally came through. I guess they were stuck on a particularly spiky piece of the cloud somewhere.
Also, this is fair warning to GregDarcy that I too will be stealing his table unless he Copyrights it before I breed my Leathery, forcing me into gem debt status.

OK, that was pretty dumb. Although I'm using Hail and Lava as my primary Leathery pair I had the bright idea to use Sprout and Summer as my alternate pair since Sprout is one of the fails and I need another Sprout and a Sprout egg. The sandbox has that combo listed with only a 17.9 hour average fail. That doesn't seem TOO bad (or so I told myself in my rushed analysis). But so far I'm only failing with epics, giving me an average fail much much higher than 17.9.
At this rate my alternate pair is dominating the nursery and preventing efficient throughput of fails from my primary pair. In retrospect, possibly not the best approach for breeding a limited!
Time to write that approach off as a Silly Idea and adjust accordingly.

Whew, moved my hydra out of the nursery and can finally start pushing eggs out again. Now just have to get the geode, summer, and daydream displayed and out of the way. First fail was a quake and the second appears to be a storm. Off and running!

How could I pass up anything as crazy and epic as this is shaping up to be? As I have yet to acquire an archenemy, I, too, foolishly pledge a gem to each player still in the comp after me. With my demonstrated breeding prowess this should keep me in gem debt until sometime next year!
